Yeah----they've got three major networks---like having AIT, Silverbird and Channels TV doing drama awards around the same night. And each network releases countless dramas per year----some actors even overlap and have to attend more than one awards, if they acted in dramas from different stations---hehheeh

MBC held theirs Dec 30 while SBS, KBS had theirs Dec 31 I think...

Like the guy below Shin Sung-rok (was also in My Love from the Star, SBS) ---was in King's Face (SBS) and Trot Lovers (KBS) had to attend both award shows to collect his prizes ---and even changed tuxedos in between. Now that's class lol

lol omg if only you knew how much I used to hate him I first saw him in Good Doctor and he was sooooo mean to Joo Won. It was around the last two episodes I started liking him. Then Birth of a Beauty came out and I just had to watch it because of him.

Also started on Cunning Single Lady---wasn't happy with how the story started (being dumped by his wife who couldn't stand by him) so I set it aside after 2 episodes. Will probably go back to it soon cos I've got all the episodes. Maybe when BoaB is over and I need my Joo Sang Wook fix...haha

The Healer couple weren't the only ones who got best couple award at KBS drama award, there were four others including the Joseon gunman couple. I guess because the healer actors are popular among fans, besides other couples in KBS mid- length dramas this year weren't all that 'couple-ish'. Likes of Golden Cross, Inspiring generation.

Yes, I saw the photos of those who won-----up to four/five dramas had couples that got accolades. Looks like if u didn't get one as a couple then fans didn't really feel d romance. Those that won, u could just see their joy as if it was one better award HTH and Sara were the oldest couple----lol

New Heart is abit old cos its around 2007/08 but it's really great,that's the only drama have seen the female lead cast...Ji sung acting is always great so u gonna love it

Remember don't spend all ur nights watching kdrama u need to sleep early and rest ur brain ok

BoaB is getting annoying again---oh well we will still watch cos we're hooked. HTH and Sara were one of the four couples to win best couple. Joseon Gunman, You Who Came from the stars and even Healer had the leads winning best couple for their drama roles.

This New Heart, is it the new one or old one, I think there are two versions? will find out.

Will check out those Hundae lovers etc you also mentioned. Whoaa---so many dramas to explore. Not sure how I'm going to juggle it---

Really enjoying Secret Garden (episode 12 now) ----I'm not saying it's perfect but it's got a lot of the melodramatic scenes I enjoy Wow I'm learning so much about being a CEO, a stuntswoman, a pop singer, a nasty mother-in-law....

The drama is from 2010 but still so relevant. I'm considering downloading Time Between Dog and Wolf (Lee Jun Ki hwaiting ) though I have so many 2014 dramas to get through---

How r u? I've been busy watching Secret Garden while trying to do other tasks. My work has really suffered since I discovered K-dramas.

For now I'm salivating for Birth of a Beauty episodes 18 & 19...heard the two main leads won best couple at the drama awards...

Pinnochio----no, I haven't watched the latest. I've been too busy and that drama sucks too much emotion out of me jare. My small drama watching time is saved for Secret Garden.

I wonder why the couple didn't go back to the garden to look for the woman who gave them the magic wine? Does that mean the writer of this drama is so stupid to think we won't wonder about that?

Funny thing was i was going thru the actress age i was like wow,damn....am eyes were shocked cos i couldnt believe their ages....i notice most of them are in the 30s while most of the guys who look older her in their 20s...plastic surgery and botox is norm to them...in their private and actual life most of the korean guys do complain abt the ladies not having natural beauty

A friend of mine whos also a kdrama fan traveled to the states 2-3yrs ago he said hes first intention was to date a korean but most of the korean ladies he met are fugly.....he said the true asian beauties are the arabs,india and nepal axis but the likes of the chinkos are ugly

u gonna love 7civil servant but the downside is the female lead actress is ugly but her acting is great though


am doing my best to enjoy the hols and the kdrama New Heart is kinda interesting so its all fun for now but maybe i would attend a party later today but its all good

lmao @ your friend ---- too bad he met those not to his taste. I do know I've seen some hot Asian ladies while shopping at those China town markets those days---they weren't bad at all, verrrrry petite with no single fat, good skin and nice hair. That's in Lagos o, talk less of those abroad.

7th Grade Civil Servant - I will check it out. I don't care much if the female lead doesn't match the term 'beautiful'. Actors like Jo Woon and Yo Chun are not really among the really 'hot' Korean actors but I somehow like their unique looks. So I might not find the chick ugly. She can't be as bad as the girl in Tomorrow's Cantabile or even Joseon Gunman. Viewers called them ugly but I didn't really see them that way.

Been thinking about that stuff you said with the plastic surgery...I hear Korea is called the plastic surgery capital of the world because of the way stars partake of it like it's yoga. Well well that Sara from BOaB is definitely guilty from what I discovered. No wonder they always look half their age---many of these female actors are years older than the male leads they act with, yet you'll think the women were younger.

--7th Grade Civil Servant stars one of my fave actors Joo Won but I've been hesitating to download that drama due to reviews. I can give a few episodes a try though, just to get a taste.

Yes, I'm not a fan of anything to do with medical stuff esp. if they're doctors etc and spend a lot of time in hospitals. Emergency Couple sounded good on reviews but Dr. Stranger I heard wasn't so hot. For some reason I liked Good Doctor. You should check that one out

To korean ladies,plastic surgery and botox is like ladies daily make up or drinking water.its a normal thing over there,if u see their baby pics or coming of age pics u gonna burst into laughter...i think sarah also did some work on her nose...the likes of suzy,pinnochio female cast seems natural but that chio pal camera lady had some work done...its easy to identify ladies with botox or plastic surgery...they are always close to perfection


Though some guys do get botox but it aint much...most of them are natural though

Plastic surgery? For real!? Lol I heard about that but refused to believe it...why would they do that? As for that Sara, from the nose down her face looks pinched. She's got good skin, eyes nose etc, just don't like her manner of doing that her mouth when eating, smiling or just anything (maybe it's just major beef cos I'm totally tripping for her love interest HTH hahah)

The guys look fake? I guess because they pay so much attention to their looks. But Park Yoo Chun doesn't look fake, does he? I liked him in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Then of course Lee Jun Ki from Arang/Two Weeks.

Loving Secret Garden so far esp Ha Ji Won. She's my fave female K-drama actress next to Gianna Jun of My Love from the Star. I avoid buying dvds now, because I might not watch on time so I'm just cluttering my space with cds. Nowadays I strictly download and watch when I feel like.

----today's very laid back and cool, loving the atmosphere after a safe Xmas and New Year's Eve. I'm sure like me you can't wait to get back to being busy after all these holidays are over...

I'm not a fan of medical dramas but somehow I enjoyed Good Doctor. You're sooo right about watching old k-dramas...lol right now I'm watching Secret Garden, just on episode 3. Doing a little 'step-down' before picking up a drama from 2014 again. Since I started a bit late on these K-dramas I'm catching up little by little by watching the old favorites. On my list are the famous dramas like "Boys Over Flowers" and "The Heirs". I just have to find out what all the noise was about

It would be great if the site had a page where the dramas are listed alphabetically. Or according to genre like action, historical, comedy, romance etc. It will be the site easier to maneuver. Sometimes using the search engine doesn't bring out what you want and it's frustrating especially when you know the drama is there somewhere lol. I'm glad for the site though, it's really cool and there are not many like those websites available now.

Secret Love Affair is pretty great but the ending is not what I hoped for so I would rate it B+

I haven't watched Liars Game and Miss Korea...i kinda though Liars game was just show business drama I would honestly recommend another park yoo Chun drama...I Miss You...if u haven't watch it then add it to ur bucket list what are ur plans for today...make sure u take good care of itself and no Bangers or Fire crackers....Have a fun day

-----HTH in Birth of a Beauty...Sara cares but had to protect him by walking away. Being a genius I know HTH is going to outsmart his step brother. This is definitely one of my favorite dramas for 2014, after Empress Ki, Love from the Star and Tomorrow's Cantible.

Rooftop Prince was an awesome drama...so sad in the end but a satisfying finish. I love the five lead actors.

Lol at Birth of a Beauty 'second level of grief'...I'm enjoying these last episodes. Episode 16 and 17. Seeing Han Tae Hee suffer is so agonizing

well as the saying goes "one mans food is another's poision" you may end up liking greatest martiage but for me it sucks like hell...the female lead cast is ayt but that lanky lead cast got me really winded up...but u can give it a try and get done with it
My advice is for u to try to download Rosy Lover. .its the only reasonable drama outthere atm...u gonna love it

I'm not a Li Seung Gi fan, I know him from King 2Hearts and Gu Family Book only. I don't know why I don't like him but he's soooo popular, the nation's idol. Na wa. I don't think I'll look out for his drama though there's so much hype about him in the past few weeks because of it.

Lol @ gym, just an expression ooo gym is not in Naija culture but I do have all the gadgets at home so no need to even leave the house for that. Dumbbells (female size oo) tummy trimmer, treadmill skipping rope, staircase....lol enough things to use for exercise. You take care OK and enjoy the rest of 2014!!

Omgggg Definitely watch ARANG & THE MAGISTRATE.

That was the first K-drama I ever watched and I was hooked (feb 2014 lol, can never forget ). Till today Lee Jun Ki is my fave Korean actor.
