Did you ever watch 200 pounds Beauty? It's old, but that's what I thought of as I was watching. I'm dying, this drama is laugh out loud hilarious. I like the female lead! Her devotion to the husband is annoying, but she's cute. And yes, the male lead is hysterical.

Yes, I keep seeing people mention 200 pounds Beauty in comparison, but I've never seen it I'm glad you think it's great! The male lead definitely makes it tick for me.

He's Joo Sang-Wook and it seems he has a flair for these rom-com dramas But I just saw him in Good Doctor, where he played a totally different role. I like the way he doesn't take the drama too seriously lol. Hope you catch up soon, we're at episode 12 and I'm still hooked

for all we know, the kids were taken from the maid, or she somehow couldn't find them and so ran away. So I'm praying for the kids to be found safe, and not wasting time blaming the housemaid or the parents. This is supposed to be a time of celebration (Christmas) I hope the kids get back home in time.

I don't want to be mean but - she doesn't just do it for me. Not saying she's ugly/non-cute, just that something's missing. This drama was all about her revamped 'beauty' but to me she was so watery and un-cute

Thanks to the male lead (who's awesome haha) the drama was saved. She's just not my cup of tea, don't know why. Don't mind me jare, enjoy!

I don't find her pretty at all. She looks like she's had Botox around the lips. She doesn't do 'quirky' 'cute' and 'silly' the way other actresses in the genre can.


I download episodes to watch on my iPad...mostly binge-style meaning several episodes at a go. Currently watching the tail-episodes (10-16) of Cantabile Tomorrow. Next - Misaeng or Mr. Baek. All lined up lol

oh wow thanks for the reminder! I've been so busy marathon-watching [size=14pt]Tomorrow's Cantabile[/size] which is awesome!! Didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I am. It's turning out to be one of my fave dramas of 2014.

Will definitely check out 11 and 12 of Birth of Beauty, will wait till both are up and ready! Can't wait wheww lol

Lol she was talking like that, because South Korean wives (esp when married to royalty) have to act all submissive and timid You're right it just made her look/sound silly. I liked her Empress Ki performance the best but of course that's a separate role entirely.

Lately I've been on the lookout for unique dramas, whether saguek/historical/period drama vs. modern drama.

So far I'm impressed with [size=14pt]Birth of a Beauty[/size]. Episode One was like wtf but I kept watching because I was thinking, this drama can't be so bad or stupid. Now at episode 10, I have to say this is a must-watch. There's comedy (lots of it) great actors, some romance (so,so) and lots of drama LMAO.

Another one I checked out was Blade Man. The male lead's acting is so crazy, I can't even stand to watch him. Will this be any good? I'm afraid to keep watching and find out. In the mean time, can't wait for the next episode of Birth of Beauty (B.O.B)!!!

you definately gonna love Tommorow Cantibile.. pinocchio eps 5 and 6 was boring ....birth of beauty is kinda funny and ok but Modern Farmers is alot better...Misaeng is also great....Try love Frequency its about daily challenges in realationships for singles

Woow! Joo Won is my new fave! Just saw him in Good Doctor and I've been considering watching Tomorrow's Cantible but....the reviews are so-so. He's such a great actor, might watch a few episodes. Right now I'm into the following - Birth of a Beauty (what a crazy weird drama but it's growing on me...) Pinocchio (not sure what to make of it after ep. 05 but I'll stick to it too) as well as Dr. Frost, Bridal Mask and King's Face. Whew! This is why I only stuck to historical/period dramas...cos if I start with all these modern series, I might never get to slow down

When defaming a celeb or their kids it's the norm to keep the kids' identities private especially those kids who have never been exposed to the limelight before. Not sure how to explain this to you but you can't compare this to say, North West (Kanye/Kim's daughter or Blue Ivy being ridiculed for their hair or fashion. This is waaaay different.

Sorry that's not the essence of Black Friday. It's getting to buy expensive items at a cheaper rate than you can dream of. Those dozen pants for #50 sales happen every other day. But Black Friday sales is for the mega stuff we've been dreaming to buy but the prices were discouraging. So I hope you've learned something new today. Smart women wait for mega sales and buy those cool designer items unlike guys who blindly buy any day

Black Friday is a day of crazy sales....most women like me will understand the value lol. But just like Halloween, Thanksgiving and all those Westernized stuff...it's not really our culture to give mega sales like that. Look at Jumai...online now they are claiming Ipad Mini at #29k, Blackberry Passport at half price, Z10 at 16k etc but when you try to click, they say sold out in just 10 seconds. Na wa. Been trying to buy at least one phone for my lil sis but no dice.
