Lol not sure how you can decide you're so informed about the state of other people's data allowance...you never can tell.

Anyway I usually download a few episodes on my Android when I can. Not that I do all my downloading through there, because my device memory is really low.

As for others I can't speak for them, but I for one do have a reasonable access to data which is why I choose to download rather than just watch - since it's the same bandwidth whether downloading or watching. When I realized this I started downloading so at least I can have the stored videos after watching.

A drama currently making waves : Pinocchio is on my 'now watching' list! This could be my second-ever non-period K-drama. I like it! It's got suspense, adventure, romance (?), drama, tragedy and laughs. Just possibly perfect :-) lol now on episode 2. Hoping I stick to this one till the end. It's just 4 episodes out and some dramas start to lose steam by episode 5 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

Oh, that's true...you can't do anything when you're downloading directly to your phone. Wow. I suggest you download one by one, because automatically your phone arranges the episodes according to time of download.

So try downloading them in their correct sequence eg download episode 1 before episode 2 and so on. That way, you just start watching from the first download.

This is how I did when downloading on my Android phone. I downloaded them in a way that each episode was the next one from the last so I just watched them in order of how I downloaded them. Though the names of the episodes remained in strange letters and numbers.

I understand what you mean, I went through that while downloading King's Daughter which had 108 episodes. So i had to be careful to get d episodes straight. I did this by renaming the episode before downloading. So if I was about to download episode 18, when the download window comes up I changed the name to KingsDaughter18 and so on.

So you just change those numbers you see to the title of the drama/episode. Do this before you then start the download. Works for me. Hope this helps!

Another awesome site to download is doramax264.com. Got some great Korean movies from there too. Just that you have to download the subtitles separately and join everything together yourself lol

Sponge bath is the best, you will see a difference in your skin especially if you scrub in a rhythmic and prolonged manner. It will exfoliate and bring out your true color. Even for dark people it will improve your complexion. The difference in skin glow between sponge users and non-users is obvious. Sponging your skin also helps with circulation of blood beneath the surface. You can use a rough wet cloth if you don't like sponge.

@topic here are some Korean movies I've seen recently and recommend to all who enjoy costume/period/historical/adventure Korean movies:

The King and the Clown (awesome movie with Lee Joon Ki giving an impressive performance. The movie had some "gay" elements)

War of Arrows (wow what a movie, action packed with lots of heroism)

I am the King (very funny, I like)

Frozen Flower ( another gay-like movie. Very interesting though)

The Huntresses (good one, the woman who acted Empress Ki was there, Ha Ji Won)

The Pirates (almost like Pirates of the Carribean)

Masquerade (nice, where a look-alike pretends to be king for a week lol)

Face Reader (nice acting but soo sad. I liked it)


Hoping to get to watch The Admiral, Roaring Currents but can't find it online. However I did download most of the above from and the rest from Youtube.

I must say I've enjoyed the first 2 episodes of King's Face.

Got to see it first on YouTube but I discovered has better video quality so I downloaded again from there.

The story follows the usual saguek/S-Korean costume drama theme of palace intrigue, girls cross-dressing as boys, prince falling for unknown girl/boy, handsome prince has mysterious issues to face before gaining throne...

Watched the same kind of tropes in 70% of all the costume dramas I've seen. But, I like the pretext of using physiognomy to know who should be king. Reminds me of the South Korean movie "The Face Reader" which was also pretty good.

Here's a new historical/period K-drama alert :-)

If you're like me and watch out for any new series based on historical/period drama then good news! There're TWO hot looking dramas to look forward to. One starts its first episode today (King's Face) and the second one, The Maids, starts in December. I was really happy when period dramas like Joseon Gunman, Three Musketeers and Nightwatchman's Journal came out and now it's that time again! Can't wait to see the first episodes!

King's Face

A drama based on the illegitimate prince Gwanghae (Seo In Guk), who gets to ascend to the throne following a bloody war. The story follows the growth of Gwanghae, as well as the tragic triangle love story between one woman and Gwanghae and Sunjo, father and son.

“The King’s Face” will begin airing on November 19 taking over the time slot for “Blade Man.”


Maids

Laughter never ends on the filming set of "Maids".

"Maids" is the third Joseon historical drama following after "Queen Insoo" and "Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" (from JTBC network)

It's a love story between young men and women in a time of class and status. The first episode can be seen on the 12th of December

Wow! I've been able to see quite a few in the past several months since I started watching Korean dramas. For now, it's 99% historical/period dramas on my 'watched' list, so my apologies I love their historical costumes and acting. So I mainly look out for their ancient-themed dramas. I've named them a few times on this thread, but will list a few I can remember once again>>>


----Arang and the Magistrate (my first k-drama, became a fan of the male lead Lee Joon Ki my best Korean actor )

----Kang Chi (Gu Family Book) -- (interesting concept of 'werewolf' type hero, nice)

----Jung Yi (about a girl who learns pottery/ceramics making and falls for the King)

----Dong Yi (really long palace drama, interesting in a way)

----Empress Ki (my number one fave drama of all time - I think I've said this before like x100 lol)

----Warrior Baek Dong Soo (wwooow, cried a lot in this drama, so much emotion, really great actors)

----Sword and Flower (my second fave drama, so romantic yet sad. You have been warned )

----Great Seer (long and interesting, very touching story of bravery and romance)

----King's Daughter Su Baek Hyang (my goodness, have not yet recovered from this rollercoaster drama, so good in a wrong way lmao)

----Moon Embraces the Sun (another palace drama, will make you want to cry a lot hee hee )

----Joseon Gunman (Lee Joon Ki my fave is here, so this gets a 10/10 hands down great, moving drama).

----Bi Chun Moo (great, a bit short but interesting)

So much more, but those are Chinese and Japanese historical dramas so I can't list them all here. Other Korean series are there which I've started but not finished so can't really recommend for now, like Jumong, Sea God, NightWatchmen, Three Musketeers etc. If you can watch the first 10 on my list, you'll become a K-drama fan confirmed, in no time at all

Ha ha the romance is like 15% lmao. Even me I was angry, waiting for the romance part, but nothing lol. Mostly action, lots of martial arts and suspense. Some really tough army guys and stuff. You should watch like 3 episodes to make up your mind though. As for me, I'm liking it, now at ep. 13 with the remaining 7 episodes on standby...

I never dreamed I could ever sit down and watch a series that wasn't a historical or period drama.

But I'm now watching [size=14pt]King 2 Hearts[/size], a great action romance (?) series starring Ha Ji-Won (Empress Ki) and Lee Seung-Gi (Gu Family Book). I started watching it because I'm a fan of Ha Ji-Won after she played Empress Ki. Also, there's Lee Seung-Gi who was Kang Chi from Gu Family Book so that's cool too.

So far I'm enjoying the King 2Hearts series. Very refreshing and action-packed. Unlike "You Who Came From the Stars" which I couldn't even finish episode one, I'm now on ep 03 of King 2Hearts so that's saying something

Whewwww can't believe I just finished binge-watching King's Daughter Su Baek-hyang. My eyeballs are like from lack of sleep. I really don't know why I do this to myself...these dramas are obviously going to make me cry but still I watch them. This time, all 108 episodes of pure agony these k-drama people sef, can't they just give us a feel-good series for once??

This is such a sad thing to happen. She must have died alone and with no friends or family around. I really wish something like this never had to happen. I mean 2000 pounds for any kind of augmentation surgery...well, you usually get what you pay for (I mean we're talking Thailand here).

I was watching some vids on Youtube the other day, of a man born without limbs (no legs or hands) and who lives as such an inspiration to the world. if someone like that can be contented, I don't know what will push a young beautiful girl of 23 to risk her life for cheap surgery that is not even for a life-threatening health issue. Parents need to teach their daughters about priorities, self image and common sense.

Sometimes the app is down. So you may have to wait a few hours. It's happened before; if you read the reviews for the app you'll see people complain about the system failure once in a while. My guess is, it's just temporary. So long as you're sure it's not a problem from your end...
