When I was almost done with downloading pinnochio episode 10,my phone switched off by it self,so I'd av to download from d beginning again and dat's wasting of mb...my pinnochio is not complete it stopped at where ki jae myung kidnap choi in ha can u tell me what happened after dat

Tnks in advance
Oh ok, just saw this. From what I remember, Ki Jae Myung (Choi Dal Po's Hyung) cornered In Ha and then Dal Po intervened. Then he tried to tell Jae Myung that they were brothers but his hyung (big bro) didn't believe him. That's how it ended.

In case I got mixed up, next time you need a recap of any drama episodes, it's so easy, just visit any of the popular k-drama sites like Soompi and Dramabeans.

They are definitely following Pinocchio and other ongoing dramas like Birth of a Beauty. So you'll get all the gist about a particular episode from there. It will be as if u're watching it lol bc sometimes they put screen shots of the episode to go with the recaps$

Woah 32 episodes...well if it's worth it I don't mind. If I can endure Empress Ki with 50 episodes and King's Daughter with over 100 episodes...lol I'll check it out thanks.

I met Denrele one on one very unexpectedly, on a school campus where he came to shoot a video for one program or other. I must say he's very cool and down to earth. He just came up and started gisting with us. Since then I don't always believe what I see in the papers. Yes he has a persona he puts up for the cameras. Brotha has got to eat now and that's where he makes his money to feed himself lol

Also try watching Witch Romance its one of my alltime fav
Witch's Romance looks good. Anything within the 16-20 episode bracket, I'll check out. Rosy Lover and Hotel King - let me know how they turn out smiley In the meantime, I've also saved up ep 1-5 of Valid Love. I'm hearing it's pretty good especially ep 05 that everyone is talking about now on forums lol.

I'm actually watching it bc of Uhm Tae Woong from Blade and Petal. But this drama (Valid Love) might not be everyone's taste. It's very dorky and weird lol. Episode 1 was just crazy and I decided to watch the rest much later if the drama gets better.

Thanks Mam.. Im checking the King's daughter now..
dramafire here i come....! grin grin
LOL ok, I see you visit those streaming sites like Dramafire. They are plenty lol (Dramago, Dramaload.ch, Dramafever, Gooddrama, Drama.net etc.

But if you'll consider downloading the episodes instead of just streaming them on your PC, you'll enjoy better because you can simply watch uninterrupted when you downloaded several episodes.

I recommend mp4sojus.com for downloading, or if it's too large (each episode file is above 100mb) you can search on YouTube. Many of the episodes there are English subbed and you can download them in smaller sizes.

My love from another star..#Nice shaa...
can some1 recommend A new local good series to follow again...

cc; aida13 , fijiano202 , and others
Omg well I just finished My Love from another Star yesterday and I was like WOW

I'm not saying there's a perfect series out there, but YFAS (You From Another Star) really impressed me.

Not sure what you mean by 'local' good series? Do you mean like an historical/ancient drama? There are a lot that came out this year:

- Joseon Gunman (Good one, lots of guns but you might not like the slow storyline)

- Three Musketeers (it's shot in an interesting way, I just found it tiring sometimes)

- Night Watchmen's Journal (has some paranormal elements that made me laugh too much because of the poor special effects but you might like it)

King's Face - (an ongoing drama at present, I've only seen the first 4 episodes and it drags a bit)

Other good ones that came out earlier:

- Su Baekhyan (King's Daughter) - (one of my faves)

- Sunkyunkwan Scandal - (another fave)

vey deep though...i love it but i hate the once a week episode its really annoying....am still watching Misaend, its pretty cool
That Misaeng is getting great reviews. I remember you recommended it. I've definitely decided to watch it and have downloaded the episodes. Lol those once a week series are the worst grin grin That's why it's good to have like four or five dramas you're following in a week.

For example... grin grin

Mondays and Tuesdays - Healer, Pride and Prejudice, Valid Love

Wednesday and Thursday - King's Face, Mr. Back, Pinocchio ( grin)

Saturdays and Sundays - Birth of a Beauty grin, Modern Farmer, Lengendary Witch etc

----- So you see, plenty ongoing dramas to keep you busy while waiting. Or like me I just watch some other completed ones I have. Still, I'm eager for Pinocchio's next episode and it's hard for other dramas to keep me distracted, but still...lol

Lol, I learnt it from my aunt. i think that was how ogbono was been prepared in those days.

Procedures of cooking change over time, a friend's mum when she wants to prepare her stew, as she is per-boiling her meat/fish-she adds her grinded tomato, onion and pepper into the boiling meat and fish.

A lot of people would frown at such a method because its not the normal fry fish/meat, fry onion and pour in tomato paste method.

Since I learnt that method of cooking ogbono there have been no going back for me.
Lol wow you're so correct about the way cooking methods have evolved. I like the idea of stew boiling instead of frying, will try it. I definitely like to discover new cooking tips and share them too. For example I've mastered the art of cooking rice without a rice cooker. Because one thing I hate is over-cooked rice. So I had to figure out how to make the perfect pot of rice - not too soft or hard, just perfect lol

Bad Guys may have a wacky pilot but am in eps 10 and i tell u the storyline is pretty cool
I didn't think the pilot was wacky at all! In fact, after watching a bit of ep 01 I decided to download the whole series to watch later. It looks gritty and has some serious eye candy which helps the females grin grin All in all I like that it looks like a really raw, deep movie and not just a series.

Good point and by all means let them fell good about themselves, but while at it, other people shouldn't be made to feel bad about themselves either, just because one group wants to attain some self-confidence.
In fact, EVERYBODY should be made to feel good about themselves. If you had 4 daughters; 2 dark-skinned and 2 light-skinned, it will be YOUR responsibility to nurture the esteem of THE 4 OF THEM. Or will you take sides? What will you tell your daughter who comes home to tell you that she's been labelled an "albino" because she's light-skinned? Will you stand up for her?

I still think people can feel good about themselves without putting down other people who don't look like them. That's my point.

By the way I'm Libran, hence my inclination towards justice and balance. Like my fellow Librans, I abhor double standards. wink
I totally understand. About the double standards. You're right of course, in the context that when it comes to beauty contests, both light and dark skinned queens should be regarded equally. I remember the likes of Bianca Onoh: she was fair but had those striking features that made her stand out. I only noted a trend that I felt should be brought to light; how judges at world-stage beauty contests seem to favor dark skinned reps from Africa. I might be wrong.

As it is, when a "White" person talks of suffering any kind of 'racism' we just laugh grin grin because the word 'racism' was possibly developed with black people in mind so it's funny when some white folks talk about racist stuff against them. The same goes for light skinned grin grin They simply haven't yet faced the level of 'injustice' that their dark-skinned counterparts have. Especially in the fashion world where its hard to see a 'colored' face on magazine covers and runways, while the mulatto types get all the attention (Tyra Banks types lol)

In any case, I'm not for or against light or dark, just saying that when it comes to at least getting into the top 10, 20 or even 50 in world beauty pageants, we'd probably fare better showcasing a top-notch dark-skinned contestant. I hope we can agree to disagree at this point wink grin

At 80 I hope Wole Soyinka will have a good comeback to give this cocoyam farmer aka OBJ. I don't like either of them, but Obasanjo shouldn't have wasted a book hurling insults. He has forever toned down the historical and literary value of the book. He could have just said all this in an article.

GoodGirl2:
No need to be sorry about your opinion sis. It's not the first time I've heard something like that anyway. That's why you'll find average to ugly-looking dark girls who have been fed with this stereotype busy attending beauty contests. They'll tell you that they are beautiful yet in reality they are just dark (and to them this means they're beautiful....LOL!). They listen to many people with opinions like yours.
Africans do not come in one colour but you feel that one colour should represent us in the international stage so as to be taken "seriously"? huh
Whites on the other hand will have blondes, brunettes, red-haired, blue-eyed, grey-eyed, hazel-eyed, etc representing them......So they can be represented by their diverse looks but we can't? huh

Having said that, the Nigerian "beauty queen" was manly-looking, and it wouldn't help EVEN IF SHE WAS A VERY DARK VERSION OF HERSELF. She would still look like a man. When the facial features are striking, it wouldn't matter whether you are Bianca or Agbani (who are both extremely beautiful).
If dark girls are made to feel better about themselves, after centuries of being told black is ugly, then relax and let them. Agbani and Oluchi are prime examples how "dark-skin" models go farther than others in our history. Naomi Campbell too. For too long it's been propagated that being fairer skinned is better. When African countries showcase darker queens, then they are representing the true percentage of Africans who are mostly black. And I take it back: I am NOT sorry.

A unique face should be enough REGARDLESS of whether she's dark-skinned or light-skinned. Why should you segregate against light-skinned women yet they are daughters of the soil just like the rest? If you're going to segregate against light-skinned girls do not complain when the reverse happens abeg.
This is the reality for you. It's sad but true but no one takes light-skin African beauty queens seriously on the world stage (I'm not talking white ones, like from South Africa). But countries like Nigeria, if they want to go far in competitions shouldn't rely too much on light-skinned reps. Sorry, my opinion.

What is beautiful about this winner? What an unmemorable face and figure. Is exposing the bust worthy of a queen?

And this Nigerian counterpant or is it counterpart ---- I said it before, she doesn't have the face to win major competitions. You think it's by fair skin abi. Lmaoooo. What we need, is a unique face preferably not light-skinned. Bleh. Waste of money sending a rep this year.

Looks good although I prefer mine with oil floating on top.

Another way I cook mine is that as I am steaming the meat, I pour palm oil in a smaller bowl with lid and pour the grinded ogbono into the oil, cover it and put it inside the pot of boiling meat for it to boil.
woooww that's exactly how my mom does it so I learned from her. While the meat/panla is boiling, she turns up the lid and places a plate with the ground ogbono and palm oil. The steam from the boiling pot turns the ogbono+oil into a smooth paste. Then you scoop this into the boiling broth and stir while it bubbles to life grin grin I thought we were the only ones who did this lol
Food › Re: Making Ogbono Soup by Aida13: 4:33pm On Dec 14, 2014
Okro in Ogbono is like the finishing touch grin ohhh my I love the combo. I cut my okra in huge chunks and enjoy them when not too cooked so I put them last of all. I don't fancy meat with my ogbono. Instead, I use an assortment of dried/smoked fish to maintain the local flavor that meat can never provide.

The key is avoiding too much salt, and boiling the seasoning cubes in hot water beforehand, so they don't clump at the bottom of the soup. Also, stir stir stir. You have to stand by the soup and keep stirring, cos that sticking-to-the-bottom stuff is sooo not nice.

This soup is best with poundo yam, eko or semo.

i have seen both dong yi and empress ki.i couldnt finish dong yi cos it was kinda boring in some places. but empress ki, wow, i mean wow. that drama is outta this world.my first time watching a long drama and finishing it. i am glad my friend recommended it to me. it has a strong plot and a very interesting story. the only thing i did not like in the drama is that my handsome, obsessive lovesick emperor died at the end. thumbs up to the cast, they did a really nice job.
I love it when I see a fan of Empress Ki grin grin grin I'm glad you liked it. Especially Emperor Togon, sooo besotted. I love Ji Chang Wook there. It was also the first series where I liked the female lead more than anyone. She was so strong, smart and beautiful.

Now I'm trying to start watching Ji Chang Wook in Healer, but it's so hard to take him seriously when he's not wearing his gorgeous Emperor robes lol I'll get into the series when there are more episodes. It's already smashing the online ratings but waiting for an ongoing series is becoming very stressful (as I've discovered with Pinocchio and Birth of a Beauty)

I'm also glad about the Healer because the lead actress (Park Min Young) was in another of my fave dramas (Sungkyunkwan Scandal). So I have high hopes for this new drama.

bro i tat u are lova of action genre series oo.
I never said that oooh grin grin I maintained that I only watched historical/period/ancient drama series. But now, I've seen some great modern dramas that have changed my whole outlook.

- Tomorrow's Cantible (got me into loving classical music, the soundtrack is wow!)

- Good Doctor (awesome acting from the lead actor and just a touching series)

- Love From Another Star (hated the first episode but thankfully, I picked it up again recently and I'm so glad I did. Almost finished now)

- King 2 Hearts (it's annoying in parts but mostly good. I just loved the costumes, uniforms and also, the second male lead is freaking HOT lol)

- Pinocchio (it's amazing how much effort is put into the storyline, acting and the soundtrack. One of the best dramas this year apparently)

- Birth of a Beauty (not everyone's cup of tea but I'm LOVING it. This is what you get when the male lead is soo good in keeping the show alive. One of my top 10 series of 2014)

And so many more I've got a glimpse of. I hear Bad Guys is good. Saw episode 01 so I've downloaded some to watch later. I see you say you like it. You have good taste grin grin

ponocchio storyline is picking up...theres a new kdrama Healer
i think its going to be amazing cos eps 1 and 2 is kinda ok
Yes, the Pinocchio series slowed down around ep 5-7 and then boom! ep 8-10 are kicking it. Will try to finish ep. 10 today. I watched half of ep 01 of Healer. It looks nice, but it's hard to watch the lead actor in this role, after seeing him in Empress Ki (he was Emperor Togon). I will wait for a few episodes before getting into it. New series like Healer, Valid Love (Uhm Tae Wong from Blade and Petal) are on my to-watch list, but I'm waiting to see how they develop before I get into it.

Watching an ongoing series is hell grin grin I mean waiting week after week for the next update. The way I'm waiting for the new episodes of Birth of Beauty now eehhh...lol
