Total & complete freedom is all we need. Multinational oil companies have there 4 years with atom of give back responsibility. Let each tribe go on their own in 9ja.

I blame Niger-Delta leaders. They are not sincere with their people. Now, their youth is taking over through violence means, what can we say of that? It's sad that virtually all our leaders are thieves.

Thank God that he lose. He thought that this is like a CBN affairs where he collaborated with the then Bank Chiefs to perpetuate financial crime? He is a criminal. What legacy did he leave in CBN? Policies that enrich Banks & its staff @ the expense of inflation & hard time for common nigerians.

Both of the are birds of a feather. She wants 2 pul out when their plan is failing. She is using "Etee" as a woman in the FEC to claim back her lost hero. 1stly, Y did she pick up lie-lie appointment. See, poor nigerians, the rich ones hate u all & they have been doing all they could to continue to enrich themselves alone. Dora should go & live in AJ City in Lag, Indoaaki should pack to Lagos Street in Kano & Yar'liar should have his hospital bed @ Federal Medical Centre, Abakaliki, if they are serving Nigerians really.

Hw many of their pickins they school 4 9ija? If they are, which school? It must definitely be private school. Using tax payer money to sponsure their children to expensive schools. Later in the future, Akunyili junior will come to be minister of lie-lie again.

stupid idiots.

The drama is just started. In fact, our politicians can amend constitution over a nyt for Yayhle Hammed to become president. Anything goes in 9ija. Lol

@ babyme, It's a pity that u'r bliindfolded in ur thinking & thoughts. Research on Islam & world peace, your outcome will astonishe you. Stop castigating muslims. They are the best of mankind in the world. Islam doesnt support sucide killing let alone to take the lives of others. If hausa in nigeria are power drunk, does it mean all muslims are power drunk as well?

Useless he-goat!!!!

Sometimes I wonder why Muslims are so daft. How can I be promised 72 virgins in another life where no one has ever gone to and returned when I can have more than 1000 women on planet earth. This is utter madness."

@ Naija-Swag
It's stupid of you to regard muslims as daft. This doesnt call for such term. You are trying to instigate religious crisis. US knows what they've taken from Bin Laden & he himself knows as well. It's a matter of political & economic issues, but disguise under religion umberella.

@ Chuckvyl & Naijaking1
Well,it never stops to amaze me the way Nigerians think.I think our problem could be traced to poverty and poor education.Nigerians attach sentiments to most political and financial issues.Don't get offended guys. But i shall explain. Some people here are comparing Bank CEOs to politicians in terms of 'sitting tight'.What a shame.
Well, banks are private companies guys.It is a privately owned company hence CEOs should be determined by shareholders' votes. As a matter of fact,i expect the banks to challenge this in court. This is dictatorial in nature.CBN should not dictate to the shareholders how long they intend to keep a CEO.As a private company,Zenith bank is similar to Dangote Group PLC.Most of those guys who are CEOs are the majority shareholders in the banks.Removing them with this new CBN regulation is similar to asking Dangote to quit as Chairman of Dangote Group.Because both of them are private companies and not government run companies.Reason this critically before you comment. This new CBN law is a shame. It means that Jim Ovia cannot be appointed as CEO of another bank(by shareholders' vote) just because he has served 10 years at Zenith.Ovia has lots of experience in the banking industry. In developed countries people like him are well sought after.A bank that needs his experience should be free to appoint anybody as their CEO.You must not have been a staff of a bank to be appointed as CEO guys. The current CEO of Citi Group was never a staff of Citi Group. This is a draconian law from CBN.There is nothing ethically wrong with a family run bank.We need sound bank policies and regulation Sanusi. This will have no positive effect on the banking industry.

Do u guys have financial knowledge? Do you know what it's meant by the term "Financial Institutions" in a country. I guess u do not understand that term. @ Chvckvyl, ur analogy doesnt make a single sense. Every populace of country has, directly or indirectly, a unit of currency with any finanacial institutions operating in that country. Please, go and study some foundamental knowledge of finance & Understanding Financial Institutions in Nigeria. That will help you lots. Why you not canvassing that only Adenuga & his family sholud be banking with Equitorial Trust Bank (ETB)? I guess u'r a family member of Ibru. Now I understand.

It's sad. We Nigerians are always being fools. We pray hard every second, hour, day and nyt, but we are the most weaked people on erath. Jos crisis, bank saga, Nation without a president for over 60days, yet we see nothing wrong. Our dear pastors & churches where 1st Lady of Banking  & Akingbola were the Account Officers are yet to see nothing wrong in their past.

Stop parying 4 Nigeria, rather pray 4 change of your handwork from bad to good if not better.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Soludo Caused The Massive Bank Layoffs by aimans: 4:04pm On Dec 23, 2009
Let's look @ it from another angle. I believe we all did economics while we were in secondary school. In the subject, we have a topic called Commerce which is simply defined as Trade & Aids to Trade. Trade means Manufacturing & Producttion while Aids to Trade  means Services. Manufacturing & Productions are the bed rock of economic development while service firms oil the bed rock for easy growth. Banking falls under services.
But the "reality" then in Nigeria was that our manufacturing companies were collapsing while bankings were thriving up. Meaning that foundation is collapsing but surface is rising up. Without production NO service. Nigerian economy is a funny where foundation collapsed but top "rised firmly" surviving global economy crisis.

Prof. Soludo should had used a simple approach of definition of commerce to look into banks financial statements that were submitted to CBN during his tenure.
In developed nations, what make them to be so is Production which serve as bedrock and not services like banking.

This remind me of my HOD while in the university. He said nigeria economy is a funny where companies are dying but banks are thriving up to declare huge profit in their income statement, so from where have they been making the profits?

GOD bless our father land, NIGERIA.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Soludo Caused The Massive Bank Layoffs by aimans: 2:59pm On Dec 23, 2009
1stly, we should stop sentiments & think objectively as nigerians who pray 4 d betterment of this country. It's a general fact that lapses of a leader can be easily covered up while in office.

Soludo is an academician, a prof. of economics. His facts of live about finances is book and not really what is happening in reality. Sanusi is a co-banker right away from beginning of his career. Soludo was a lecturer b4 his tenure at CBN while Sanusi has been in banking system as a risk analyst & credit management officer. Soludo had little intrics of banking system b4 he moved 2 CBN but Sanusi is more acquinted with the system.

Base on the above view points, there were lapses in Soludo's administration while he was in office as CBN Governor. Virtually all banks in nigeria did cook their books. Surprisingly, Soludo & his management team couldn't un-cover one despite the credit crunch that hit the global economy during his tenure. All what our then CBN Gov could say was that Nigeria would not be affected as if we were living in another planet different from other worlds. Definitely, he covered up his ass & patch the path.

Soludo has failed in discharging his duty as CBN Gov. who ought to regulate nigerian economy through commercial banks. What the man end up doing was to be wining & dinning with "Bank-thieves" who, obviously had given him his own share of "Bad-Debt Planned Profit Sharing Surplus Declaration".

Fellow Nigerians, let's put sentiments aside. I can't praise Sanusi for now, cos he's still in office. I give lots of credits to Tinubu & little to Fashola. This is because if Tinubu's administration had not been good, Fashola would have been able to perform to this level. That's the way we should look at it.

God bless our father land, NIGERIA.

Each bank has its area of strength & weakness. However, over all credit goes to GTB. Zenith banking is for "who-si-who" that are taking care of our treasury. Zenith Bank doesnt have market for poor nor average nigerians.

GTB is cusomers' focused. It doesnt do more that its capacity. Kudos to GTB!

Beware Lagos Motorist Anthony Oke Bus Stop Is Not A Bus Stop-says Fashola's Corp

Fellow Lagosians, let me use this medium to inform you that a popular Bus Stop at Anthony village called Anthony Oke is no more a bus stop. This was said by a LASTMA officer & his co-worker (Omage Ewanle with Mopol No: 430584) when a private bus was arrested @ the bus stop in morning of last saturday (21/03/09). The LASTMA officer pulled off his uniform so that he can not be identified while the mopol hided some where in the course  of their arrest. Asking them to justify the arrest, they said "there in no bus stop @ Anthony Oke".

Surprisingly, commercial buses pupolarlly known as Danfo are all stopping to drop & carry passengers without being arrested. It was so obvious that these LASTMA agents have been settled by the Danfo drivers. They later drove the private bus to their office in Oshodi where the driver settled them with "SOMETHING".

On this incident, I would like to ask the following questions:
1. When was Anthony Oke bus stop becomes a place where vehicles are not allowed to stop?
2. Why would LASTMA schedule their arrest to saturday @ the bus stop & not during the week-days, when there will be alots of vehicles to be arrested?
3. Is it allowed within the law that governs LASTMA for its officers to operate without being in uniform?
4. And finally, when are we going to be off from the abitrary use of power?

Eko oni baje o!
