The players also have a share of the blame too, but as the manager he did n't do well in bringing his experience into bear managing them well and other staffs. It seems costa was n't that happy with falcao joining him, mou goofed bringing a fatcow to help out when we deserved a better striker to help while costa fights to regain his form. Series of bad results continued rolling in, management gave him some time to rescue the team but after leicester loss, he said he was n't going to buy new players by january, yet he stated the players he would be banking on were betraying him. At this point it was glaring mou was confused. He deserves that sack.

He never made champions league team of the season yet he won it 3 times. It's because he was never in the same league with best keepers we had in buffon, casillas, cech, van der sar and neuer. If you like extend the scope of best keepers to the likes of Kameni i dont care, fact is those listed above were excellent keepers at their peaks with consistency. They have one thing in common, they were the best in europe or world at one point or the other and were awarded for it. You can refer to anyone of them as one of the best, and not valdes. Valdes' individual brilliance is at par with robert kidiaba. He is more active while celebrating victories than making top class saves consistently.
