I really did enjoy watching partey, both the way he shields the ball and also drives with it. But his passing is shambolic.
Its difficult to replace someone like jorginho because you have to know what exactly you want in a DM.

In my mind the only sensible replacement for jorginho is someone like rodri. Someone who can sense spaces to pass the ball into.
Gone are the days when DM were known for their defensive aspects of game like tackling, clearances, blocks etc. It's now more of a being an anchor in an attacking system. You must know how to be a good PASSER of the ball. A good pass has to have the right amount of power to reach its intended target and jorginho is our best passer right now.

I laugh when people are hyping up runners like bissouma and hjoberg. These players would be incompatible to our system as a DM.

It depends on the coach's tactics and formation.

Partey, when fit will continue to be a key player in this Arsenal team and no Rodri or Jorginho can bench him in this setup.

To me, I don't know why TT played pulisic in the RWB position. It wasn't productive at all. Pulisic is not good at that position. We have 2 people that can play there professionally. James and azpilicueta. I also feel he should have started alonso in the LWB position. For crying out loud, that is his position and he was fit to play. Forget the so called speed of lamptey. Rudiger is there to support alonso should he get beaten by lamptey. Moreover when we field our experienced midfielders jorg/kova or kante/jorg or kante/kova, the expectation is that we control the game and hold on to possession thereby not giving room for opponents to play, so lamptey won't have the room to run with the ball. We can't keep playing players out of their positions when we have people trained for that position. Again I put this loss on TT. Pulisic and James should not have been played out of positions.

Thats why some plastic fans are calling Pulisic, Foolishic. Tuchel in trying to solve one problem, creates multiple ones.
