Successive change of Minister(s)/key appointments in the Aviation Ministry and FAAN stalls the employment of this Nigeria Aviation Security experts till date |
A Serious Government... does not joke with issues of National Security, especially when you have expose a group of vibrant and intelligent citizens to a rigorous Aviation Security training certified by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). These training is not a child's play and it's carried out by World wide aviation training institute SPRANZA LLC in Conjunction with GLO-SAT Security services. FAAN is claiming ignorance of this training because the kind world class practical training given both in and outside the airport... it's the first of its kind in Nigeria. The Government need to act fast before this informations get into wrong hands by absorbing this vibrant trainees into the system. .... |
AVSEC TRAINEES SEEKING PMB'S ATTENTION TO UNCOVER FAAN EMPLOYMENT FRAUD AVSEC TRAINEES SOS MOVES TO LOVE FM HEMBELEMBE BREKETE FAMILY. Today being first Friday of the month of October, the AVIATION SECURITY (AVSEC) TRAINEES is moving it's SOS train to Hembelembe through ordinary Ahmed issah of Brekete family. It is not going to be a child play, it's not going to be bussines as usual. The plight of youth, Nigerian graduates who were invited, trained and thrown outside roaming around after amount greater than annual budget of some states have been moped away from the treasury in their name. Ordinary Ahmed Isah, would be airing their plight to well meaning Nigerians informing the whole world the sacrifice these people have made, the pain they have endured at expense of sabotaging the nation by exchanging the valuable knowledge acquired for peanuts in the name of survival at the wake of transborder terrorism. These are youths of active age, who have been exposed to the national aviation security tips, who have the map and topography of all airports on their heads, trained and equipped intellectually to make, detect and manage IED’s popularly known as bomb or explosives, yet they remain resolute to pursue justice in a most civilised manner to serve their father land with patriotism. Here are men and women of honour who could have traded part of the acquired knowledge for millions of naira to destabilise the National security and create, unleash mayhem, collaborate with regional hoodlums or the so call Boko Haram but the fear of God, love of the nation and individual integrity remained topmost of their agenda. Source: I have not heard recently of any reasonable, responsible and responsive government who would allow such individuals to roam round the cities joblessly not fearing compromise. We hereby plead to our beloved people's President, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari to revisit this issue with aim of considering our employment as young Nigerians unemployed graduates who are willing to serve the nation diligently with patriotism. Dharniel:In such a scenario, the Iran nuclear deal could mean even more oil in the market, further widening the gap between the demand and supply. In terms of how much and how soon, based on the market reports regarding the country’s floating oil storage capacity, we believe that Iran could introduce as much as 30 million barrels of crude oil into the market almost immediately as soon as the sanctions are lifted. |

Israeli anger at Iran nuke deal ![]() Iran and six major world powers reached a nuclear deal on Tuesday, capping more than a decade of on-off negotiations with an agreement that could potentially transform the Middle East. Under the deal, sanctions imposed by the United States, European Union and United Nations would be lifted in return for Iran agreeing long-term curbs on a nuclear program that the West has suspected was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb. Reaching a deal is a major policy victory for both U.S. President Barack Obama and Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, a pragmatist elected two years ago on a vow to reduce Iran's diplomatic isolation. Both men face scepticism from powerful hardliners at home after decades of enmity between countries that referred to each other as "the Great Satan" and a member of the "axis of evil". Final talks in Vienna involved nearly three weeks of intense round-the-clock negotiations between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Western diplomats said under the final agreement, Iran had accepted a "snapback" mechanism, under which some sanctions could be reinstated in 65 days if it violated the deal. A U.N. weapons embargo would remain in place for five years and a ban on buying missile technology would remain for eight years. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/07/14/us-iran-nuclear-idUSKCN0PM0CE20150714 http://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2015/jul/14/iran-nuclear-talks-deal-historic-vienna-live-updates http://news.yahoo.com/iran-talks-hit-final-stage-announcement-expected-064307157--politics.html

By Aiyeku Timothy, Okoronkwo Chijioke Former Nigeria International, Segun Odegbami has stated that Sunday Oliseh, who is reportedly in the frame to be the next Super Eagles Coach, is in possession of the intellectual skills to move Nigerian football to the “next level.” Odegbami who made this claim in an interactive session “Sunrise Daily” on Channels, Thursday stated that Nigerian football lacked certain ingredients which deter it from rising to the level it’s supposed to be. “Let me let me tell you, I mentioned the word ‘intellectual capacity,’ Sunday Oliseh who has just joined, do you know he is a graduate? He is a lawyer, he studied in LASU and for that alone he has the capacity to take our football beyond where we are, that’s the difference,” Odegbami stated. The former Eagles forward cited Nollywood and the music industry as examples which had been transformed over the years because “a lot of intellectuals are coming into it, they have taken it beyond a certain level and that’s what Sunday Oliseh is bringing into Nigerian football. The “Mathematician” as he is fondly called described Oliseh as a “Fantastic choice” adding that “After Stephen Keshi it is now the era of the intellectuals, the best.” “Listen to his analysis, listen to his commentaries, read his write-ups, you will see that he has something all other Nigerian coaches didn’t have; ‘the utilization of the mind’,” He added. Odegbami noted that Oliseh is not a magician who would turn things around overnight but insisted he could do the job because he has the right skills. Read more: http://www.post-nigeria.com/olisehs-intellectual-capacity-enough-to-boost-nigeria-odegbami/ “Sunday Oliseh can go in there and fail from day one, I know that there is a prospect because football is a very complicated game people don’t know,” He said Odegbami did however frown at the decision of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, to have former coach, Amodu Shaibu and a technical team to supervise the activities of the coach. “Now that they are getting Sunday Oliseh whose mandate is clearly to handle the National team, look around the country for the best players in Europe and so on and make sure you have to start planning for the matches he has to play, so that his success will be measured. “In terms of whether he wins or loses games, it is limited now that you have created these conflict areas as Amodu Shaibu and Sunday Oliseh are bound to clash. “Once you start having expectation beyond the National team winning, then you are putting Sunday Oliseh into deep trouble. “Another thing I saw that I didn’t like is the aspect of foreign assistance for him (Oliseh).” Keshi Comments Meanwhile Odegbami revealed he felt Stephen Keshi stayed this long on the job as the head coach of the national team because he is a very nationalistic Nigerian who has great love for Nigeria. “Keshi has always been proud to be a Nigerian, I know that because we’ve been together, he is very nationalistic. That is why he will always choose Nigeria first.” He said According to him, if Keshi had performed well and won all his matches after the World Cup, the issue of applying for a job elsewhere wouldn’t have been an issue. He said the issue of the job was an opportunity for the NFF to kick him out; “It was an accident waiting to happen, he just gave them the ammunition to deal with him and they dealt with him at the appropriate time. “They were looking for him since the World Cup ended and he was been supported by the Presidency, not the President but somebody high up there. Everybody knew it was a matter of time and was bound to happen and suddenly this opportunity came and they pounced.” Read more: http://www.post-nigeria.com/olisehs-intellectual-capacity-enough-to-boost-nigeria-odegbami/

Interview with Nigeria legend Segun Odegbami “From the moment keshi’s team failed he should have resigned but because he didn’t he now have to face not the rot of Nigerians but a lot of people who don’t want him to be there in the first place and that what we have seen happened now.” “After the world cup he came and the team started losing and of course he should have gone away because that’s what happens to coaches but he didn’t do that, he was supported by the presidency and the they ensured that he stayed behind and things are never going to be the same .” We try to understand the mind of politicians and now sports; he has placed the game he has coached at different level. He should know when the ovation is loudest and when he should quite. What do you thing was going through his mind why he decided to stay on? “Two things, one keshi has always been proud to be a Nigerian, I know that because we’ve been together, he is very nationalistic. That is why he will always choose Nigeria first.” “Coaching Nigeria was the biggest achievement for him. Aside from that you don’t get N5million every month in anywhere, is not easy to come by, so with that amount dangle before you and the prospect of not having a job for the next couple of months even years, you will take anything. “ “That’s why he was willing to report to a technical committee, report to a technical director that were under him initially.”For him to have taken that, I just knew that this is not going to work at all.” So you mean this has nothing to do with the Ivory Coast job? “No I don’t think so; so many things are not just right about the Ivory Coast job thing. First of all, good coaches don’t apply for jobs. Nations goes after the best coaches.” “You never hear Mourinho to any club or Ferguson applying to a national team that he wanted a job, you go looking for them. It is the less successful coaches who are jobless most of the time that apply for jobs. That’s why I was saying that keshi will rather stay with the N5m job that he is certain than anything else that was not even certain.” He said that he knew nothing about it, but his agent submitted his name and a couple questions that are to why his agent submitted his name, and that he knew nothing about it. Do you think that the NFF really have a case to say well you went out job seeking when you have a job? “Yeah there was absolutely a bridge but if keshi’s team has been successful, if his team has been doing well, if he didn’t have the problems that he had, nobody will even raise the issue that he applied for the job.” “It was an accident waiting to happen, he just gives them the ammunition to deal with him and they dealt with him at the appropriate time.” “They were looking for him since after the world cup you know and he was been supported by the presidency not the president but somebody high up there. Everybody knew it’s just a matter of time and it’s bound to happen and suddenly this opportunity came and they pounced.” “The game against Chad the team played so badly that I don’t think it’s a Nigerian team.”

The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed it is in talks with former Super Eagles’ captain Sunday Oliseh with regards to the vacant position of the team’s Head Coach. At the weekend, the NFF terminated the appointment of another former captain, Stephen Keshi, over breaches of core terms of his contract. Following the encouragement of a team of the NFF Technical and Development Committee that is working on filling the vacant position, Sunday Oliseh met with NFF President Amaju Pinnick in London on Tuesday. “An offer has been made, and there is understanding, but we have to work out the final details of the agreement in a few days. Of course, the Executive Board has to give approval for his appointment based on the final terms to be agreed,” said Felix Anyansi-Agwu, chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee. Thenff.com understands that Oliseh will come with a Foreign Technical Assistant, whose job description will centre around development programmes, and who will work with Clubs’ Youth Teams and certified Academies towards developing the game from the grassroots. Current stand-in Coach Salisu Yusuf will also be in the new team, but with greater devotion to the home-based team, otherwise known as Super Eagles B, and will be the interface between the technical crew and the home boys. Oliseh is expected to come up with a five –year developmental plan to fashion a unique playing and coaching philosophy for all the National Teams, and will for this purpose, interface regularly with coaches of those teams. “We are also looking at how he will periodically organize clinics and seminars for coaches of Clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League, probably once in a month, so as to strengthen the playing philosophy across board. A robust youth development programme, elite player development strategy and performance programmes to drive higher standards, among other core sustainable development programmes, are also part of the proposal,” Anyansi-Agwu added. NFF President Amaju Pinnick said: “Sunday Oliseh has vast experience and immense knowledge of the game, and will certainly add value to what we are doing. He has bought into our vision and objectives towards the development of Nigeria football. He will command the respect of the players and we trust he has the temperament to work harmoniously with the Technical and Development Committee, the Technical Directorate and the Technical Study Group. Read more: http://www.post-nigeria.com/4-coaches-who-can-take-over-from-keshi/ “On our part at the NFF, we will give him all the support to succeed as we have been giving to all our coaches. Subject to the approval of the NFF Executive Committee, we will conclude negotiations by weekend and he will be unveiled next week.” Oliseh, 40, is presently a FIFA instructor, and runs a consultancy that trains and assesses coaches worldwide. He is also member of FIFA Technical Study Group. He was in the Nigeria squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia in 1994, and played in the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cup final competitions, with the Super Eagles reaching the Round of 16 in both. He was also in the Nigeria U-23 side that won Africa’s first Olympic football gold in Atlanta 19 years ago. Oliseh played for Reggiana, FC Cologne, Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, VFL Bochum and RC Genk in a magnificent professional career, during which he played under some of the best coaches in the universe. He won 63 caps for Nigeria between 1993 and 2002, picking up Africa Cup of Nations gold, silver and bronze medals. Oliseh holds a UEFA Pro License, and coached Belgian lower division club, Vervietois between 2008 and 2009. The Head of the Conditional Grants Scheme of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on MDGs, Zubairu Abdullahi, has disclosed that funds for capital projects have not been released for the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, MDGs, in Nigeria. According to the Director and Secretary of Programme of the Office, Ochapa Ogenyi, the implementation of the MDGs has remained an unfinished business that needed to be rolled over to the Post-2015 development goals. As a result of the laxity of Buhari administration regarding funding, MDGs goals have been grounded to a halt, which has further subjected Nigerians most especially does in the grass root to degradable state of impoverishment, poverty, and lack. . . . Read More: http://www.post-nigeria.com/buhari-budget-delay-threatens-mdgs-implementation-abdullahi/ According to Ogenyi the process of framing a successor to the MDGs was long advanced with the formulation of 17 Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, and 169 Targets. Professor Chidi Odinkalu, the Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, on his own part advocated for robust participation of States in the funding of the programme. He said there was a need for other States in Nigeria to model their revenue generation strategies on that of Lagos State that had grown its Internally Generated Revenues, IGR, beyond reliance on federal government allocations for sustenance. He made a case for improved inclusive funding of the programme across board and urged all stakeholders to intensify efforts as the world transits to SDGs. MDGs as a programme has eight international goals that were officially established following the millennium summit of the United Nations in 2000, as well as the adoption of the United Nation Millennium Declaration. The goals are Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, and develop a global partnership for development. Nigeria was an enthusiastic signatory to the MDGs and has claimed to pursue them vigorously since then, though with varying degrees of success. While MDGs are for all mankind, they are primarily about children, in part because children are the most vulnerable when essentials like food, water, and healthcare are scarce. Children are always the first victims, six of the eight goals relates directly to children. The aim of the MDGs is to encourage development by improving social and economic conditions in the world’s poorest countries. The millennium declaration produced by the United Nations, asserts that every individual has the right to dignity, freedom, equality, a basic standard of living that includes freedom from hunger and violence, and encourages tolerance and solidarity. Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a member of the House of Representatives for Tudun-Wada/Doguwa, Kano State who was one time the House Committee Chairman on Millennium Development Goals, MDGs, and chairman, African Network of Parliamentarians on MDGs, in an interview on Jonathan achievement on MDGs said: “The number of people that have graduated from living below one dollar per day has improved significantly. “When you come to the issue of Universal Basic Education, UBE, whether you like it or not, you must give it to President Goodluck Jonathan. “Jonathan is one President that has kept faith with MDGs. “He is the only President in Africa that spared his time to meet with stakeholders of MDGs and discuss how to achieve the whole thing. “He does this every three months. He sits with a committee of which I am a member. He also met with foreign agencies and the international community on ways to achieve the MDGs. His administration has given too much to MDGs and has been able to achieve a lot. “Thirty-six states have benefitted from the scheme during Jonathan administration. Huge sums of money were made available for grass root development. “These funds are utilized at the state levels because we feel state governments can key into this development programme because they are closer to the people. “The strategy adopted to engage the state and local governments is laudable”, Doguwa said of the Jonathan administration. By Aiyeku Timothy, Okoronkwo Chijioke The smoke has not cleared from the explosive fallout of the queer marriage between the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and erstwhile Super Eagles supremo Stephen Keshi but life has to go on. The NFF has said it will replace the 58 year old with some quarters claiming that within the next few days a new face will be saddled with figuring out how to convince Mikel Obi to attempt a shot on target. Perhaps a return to foreign hands might be in the offing this time around. Nobody is quite clear if the Eagles have been told to get used to Shaibu Amodu’s face either. Over a 100 applications (according to the Glass House) have been received for the vacancy already. The NFF ought to be spoilt for choice but what are the serious options they can actually consider. Read More: http://www.post-nigeria.com/4-coaches-who-can-take-over-from-keshi/ Let us take a look. 1. Jürgen Klopp The high spirited technician famous for inspiring tons of players would bring the obviously lacking spirit to the Eagles side. Can Amaju Pinnick actually lure the self professed fan of heavy metal away from his sabbatical for the Eagles job? 2. Guus Hiddink Hiddink is highly respected, vast, experienced and known to be a great technical coach. His experience with national sides is well documented from coaching the Oranje of Holland to the South Koreans in 2002 and down under with Australia before settling with Russia eventually. His exploits led to Russia’s best performance since the breakup of the Soviet Union; and leading he also led Chelsea to an FA Cup win against Everton in 2009. 3. Frank Rijkaard Franklin Rijkaard will be a good pick for the NFF to prove to Nigerians that they are really ambitious and on the right path to raise the technical level of the Super Eagles. The 53-year old manager is currently free and could be available for the NFF if they are looking for a brave option at the helm of the Supear Eagles. 4. Sunday Oliseh ![]() The “discipline campaign” of the NFF can probably get realistic if Sunday Oliseh takes charge of the Eagles. He is known as a no-nonsense and disciplined personality which meets up to the alleged discipline standard of the NFF. Oliseh has held down a post as a member of the world’s Football governing body, FIFA, technical study group amongst other functions, no mean feat. Oliseh, a former Super Eagles player will be a perfect fit to the job as he is not a novice to the NFF, the Super Eagles and the entire landscape of Nigerian football politics. A relative unknown, Oliseh has completed his UEFA Professional, “A” and “B” coaching badges and is not a lightweight when it comes to qualifications. Nigeria has sadly become synonymous with epileptic power struggles while South Africa has stepped up the game with its solar school backpack innovation. This new contraption is built in such a way that it lights up homes, particularly for schoolchildren to study at night. This is not seen as a shared fate for Nigeria’s study environment, as innovations in power supply still fall below breaking edge technology. According to reports, a 21-year South African and her partner invented the renewable energy solution called “Repurposed schoolbag”, a bag made from recycled plastic to enable children living in remote regions who do not have access to electricity to study at night. . . . Read more: http://www.post-nigeria.com/should-the-south-african-solar-backpacks-be-brought-to-nigeria/ These bags come equipped with integrated solar panels to provide a renewable light source for kids who walk long distances to school. The bag is charged during the day and used as a lamplight capable of powering up to 12 hours for evening study sessions. The scheme is intended to make the trip to school easier while also extending their study time into the evenings, thereby boosting their education in the process. https://www.post-nigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/solar-6.jpg solar bag packs2For many kids living in rural and non-electrified parts of South Africa, the final school bell doesn’t just signal the end of another day of learning. Instead, it also means the beginning of another difficult trek through busy and dangerous roads to get back home in time to complete their homework before sunset. The bags sell for 250 South African Rand, about N5000 but solar bag packsorganizations such as Red Bull, SAB Foundation, and Standard Bank are now funding the innovation to sponsor students in impoverished communities. . . . Finally, there is scientific proof why Barca's MSN front three are in perfect alignment...unlike BBC at Real Madrid The trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar Jr. was assembled to put Barcelona back on the track to glory. They were put together to make history, and to become the single most scary trident on the planet -- sorry, BBC. They are now. In 2008-2009, Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o combined to reach an astonishing 100 goals on that season, in which Barcelona won everything. Now 'MSN' surpassing them with scoring 122 goals between them this season as they fired Barcelona to the treble, but what is the secret behind Messi, Suarez and Neymar's almost telepathic connection?
