I had always thought that the strongest clarification of purgatory was in the book of Macabees until I really looked at this two passages of Peter.

I have always asked the question why do protestants have a problem with Catholicism, I have been able to ascertain all except purgatory until I saw this two passages.

So I needed more clarification please.

People tend not to understand that the laws that bind physical beings aren't the same laws that bind spiritual beings, angels are spirits they transcend space and time.

John was present when the events he recorded occured.
In cases he did not witness himself, he was told by those who witnessed it and he recorded it.

This is different with ur book of Esther.

The events john recorded, the list of events, its numbering, and words are totally different from other gospel writers.

John did not retell a story, it recorded events that occured during his time. You retell a story when you are using other peoples works to tell that story, but when you words are based on your personal experiences, it is your own story, a tale of what you experienced and how you saw things.

If me and you decide to write about a trip to a place in which we stayed together in the same place and talking to same people, we will still not write the same thing or same way even though we right about the same events.
So john was telling his own experience and not retelling that of others.

1. Did the bible tell you anywhere that anything outside what is written in it is wrong and termed a false teaching.
2. People seem to forget that the power of God are not held by space and time.
3. Revelation's book spoke of 24 elders who offer incense and fall on their knees day and night praising God, where are they from.
4. Christ said that when we have conquered we shall be like Him, why den do u begin to now limit those like Him with space and time
5. Our work as humans is to worship and offer praise to God both on earth and in heaven, meaning Christianity isn't only limited to earth moreover it is perfect in heaven hence Christ said we shall worship God in Spirit and truth.
6. We are spirits living in dust clothes, when we die we begin a new life which is determined by the former lived.
7. The heavens are not closed hence u can't say that Christ doesn't speak to people or visit them, same way Elijah and Moses came to Jesus same way Mary visits people with messages, same way saints visit people, heaven isn't locked, hence it's written in revelations " saints keep asking for the judgement of the wicked".

Ignorance is bad, sometimes I just wish people could just have a mind reset button to use anytime to think clearly:

1st : Christ never instructed anyone to write, except the book of revelations which was told to John to record.

2nd : I want to thank St Luke his first chapter made us understand something "that he just tried to write an orderly account" "I.e there have been different accounts of Christ given by different people".

3rd: Last chapter of John's gospel clearly wrote that all Christ said and did couldn't be put down else, the world will be too small

4th: Before Moses wrote the 1st five books, the only form of communication was spoken language, written language was just starting.

5th: Christianity cannot be judged by what you or I think is correct, the bible never wrote I am the sole source of salvation, funny but true Christ still visits people.

6th: The bible books were written in various languages and not one like u think also it contained fragments and all these fragments were scattered around the various synagogues in Isreal, why? because it was made available to educate people far and wide sometimes portions were duplicated to make certain parts more available until St Jerome later put all the portions into one and termed it bible.

7th: There are up to 15 different gospel accounts some you know and some u haven't heard of eg (Thomas, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Judas Iscariot, John, Barabas, Philip, etc) and other books like eg (the youth of Jesus account according to John, John's Genesis, etc), many of these books didn't make it to what we term today as bible.

8th: Luther removed the book of James and revelation from his bible and later added them back, then he termed them as books of leisure study, do you know why, it's easy PAUL(sorry dats my name) epistles sometimes didn't fully explain things it said, and this sometimes goes against what James wrote e.g PAUL( Faith alone saves), James (Faith without works is dead) and many more. hence dats what prompted him to do so.

2,Why do Christians bow down before the statue of Jesus Christ,Mary nor other people they recognized to be holy were as God him self not through his son or any Angel gave a direct oder to Moses for the people according to Exodus 20 vs 4-5 which he said "you shall not make for yourself an idol in form of anything in HEAVEN or on earth beneath or in water below .

Are you sure you attended catechism, if you did then let me help you understand, you worship no one except God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), MARY NOT INCLUDED.
Now Catholics worship in spirit and not according to physical sight.
1st the mass, here the liturgy of the Word (Word of God is read and a sermon follows) and Eucharist is celebrated (Eucharist is the body and blood of Christ broken and given) which is truly Christ.

STATUES
When ever you go to pray let's say the marian grotto you get on your knees, now your head and offer up your supplications to God and ask for Mary's intercession, YOU DON'T PRAY TO THE STATUE, ITS ONLY THERE TO HELP YOU CHANNEL YOUR MIND, IF YOU TRULY TAKE NOTE
1. NOBODY COMES TO DISTURB YOU.
2. YOU FEEL FOCUSED ON YOUR PRAYER INSTEAD OF TURNING YOUR HEAD UP AND DOWN.
3. GENERALLY STATUES ARE USED TO DENOTE SAINTS AND ON SOME OF THEM A LITTLE LIFE MESSAGE IS PLACED ON THEM.

Now let's be frank and honest some people do worship these statues out of ignorance(not understanding their real purpose).

To bow down to something does not mean to worship it e.g while walking on the road and you greet someone u could bow.

Painful enough some people worship somethings without knowing e.g money, powerful people etc.

Lastly, God commanded statues to be used in the the old testament
E.g Ark of the Covenant, in the building of the temple God ordered large statues to be made of angels.
