Muki is doing a dissapearing act, I wonder how. Ika, I was only trying to provide a response to your inquisitiveness by distinguishing between spanglish and whatever had prompted the question in the first place. Ajadrame, hmmm maybe I will name my first kid just that, sounds adventurous. . . Epic adventurous theme song playing in the background: Ajadrame, the son of Ajadrage ![]() |
Muki, see we're trying to create a new lingua here. . . |

Of vanity and "sit-tightism", power as the nemesis of Africa's politicians. In my exhilaration at the triumph of a people, I feel a pity for my brethren in Egypt, for to them as well as us all, it will never be uhuru . . . ![]() Warning! This is exactly what too many chingum chewing can do to the brains ![]() |
It took about 1 year, 5 months, 2 days, 18 hrs and some 26 minutes for the previous "Iice Can I Meet You?" thread to hit the 100 page ceiling. I wonder how long this Season 3 (or is it 4?) of the thread would last. . . I just dey feel like a cross between Pythagoras and Calculus so meeeeen ![]() |
Talking about cats, this here thread sef na wa sha, it is proving to have as many lives (if not more) as a cat. I no fit remember how many times we don start from page one before, and now, again, we are back to page one. This must stand as some nairaland record. (drums rolling, with trumpet blasts and crashing cymbals ) And the award for the thread with the most staying power goes to. . . ![]() |
If only by virtue of the fact that that poor feline is about to become some baby food, I cannot possibly, rationally or realistically be tying nuptials with it. However, now that you popped a question, hmmm. . . |
1a. May your days be merry and cheer. 1b. No worry or fear. 2. May smile shine forever, without (with) barely a care. 3. If you see anything scary I'm there. 4. Through various scares. 5. To bring you home safe without (with) barely a smear.
I like your lines, it has rhythm and rhyme, but if you would care to observe the following, I believe it will become a better work. Your lines 2 and 5 have the word "without", I am sure it makes better read if it were "with". I am sure what you intend to pass across is that there is a lack of care in your line 2, using the word "without" to qualify "barely a care" contradicts your point of smiles shining for ever irrespective of anything and everything. The same principle apply to your line 5 too. I am not an expert sha, so you can choose to disregard. . . ![]() |
mukina2:Some folks have really lost it ![]() |
Munkicious munkilogistical, If you say so girl. . . |
Na wa oh, incredulous, abysmally dismal and miasmal, a total lack of decorum, humble politeness and an arrant disregard of the highest statutes of gentlemanly conduct. Na Iice some puny just dey attempt to antagonize like so? It might have become another case of unrelented gut-spilling had this not been (and so comfortingly too) the sans-physical territories of cyberspace. Some piece of advice to all them younglings, "softly softly, or else. . . " ![]() Ika, na where you dey see all those hilariously sorry specimens of love letters?

Was Jesus a Christian? No, but his followers were called Christians by observers in Antioch (I think) and the name stuck. But he ain't and was never referred to as a Christian. Were those 12 tribes Christian by religion? No, but some of their descendants became followers of Christ, along with their brethren from all nations of the earth who will together become the Ecclestical Nation of Israel i.e. The Israel of Jehovah. Was the ancient nation of Israel Christian by religion? No, but the revelation that they received from Jehovah formed the basis for what was to become the earthly ministry of Christ. So what is your business, as a Christian, in the affairs of the Israelis? Like the Master Jesus, I ain't a Christian ala Christiandom, I am a follower of 'the way' of Christ, and my business has nothing whatsoever to do with today's Jewish State of Israel, but with my fellow brothers and sisters who share the testimony of Christ. . . |
This must be where y'all got it all wrong, the rapture ain't even mentioned in the Bible, and events in various passages of the Holy Book such as Matthew 24:29-31, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, Revelation 1:7, etc., are all descriptions of one single event irrespective of the name that stubborn humankind (especially Christiandom) had chosen to ascribe to it. This event is the reentry of that Spirit being who was born into the Earth as man, was killed and then resurrected unto a 'Son of God' status, a status that the Saints hope to achieve in the wonderful news of salvation. Soonest, he is coming to take his rightful place in the order of creation and assume the Dominion that the Earth will become under his rule.Ymodulus:Well okay, it's your funeral So, what does rapture mean again? Okay, who is coming to do the rapturing might I ask? Ain't it King Jesus? At least, this should pass for a second coming na ![]() Ymodulus:Hmmm, okay, na u and Jehovah go solve this one. . . Jenwitemi:stop Press!!! The modern day jewish State of Israel should and must not not be identified with the ecclesiastic Israel of Jah. First of all and most simplistically, the modern Jewish State is not a Christian State, second, it is not the same twelve tribe Israel nation of the Jewish Scriptures, thirdly, the Jewish Scriptures had the twelve tribes without Levi, and with two of Josephs sons to make up the number, but the Greek Scriptures hold the ecclesiastic Israel to be Levi inclusive, and Joseph standing alone to make up the number, fourthly, there is at present no means of direct identification as to which particular tribe a Jew in the 21st century belong to. I could go on, but make I chill small. The new Israel cut across race and geography, and it certainly ain't political. . . Joagbaje:I must concur here. . . ![]() Jenwitemi:Tsk tsk, where thou art, oh tolerance!? thehomer:Yes it did, even the Forest States of the West African Coast, including your people I believe, (and I mine too). . .

Clear enough. . . Jenwitemi:I guess you meant 'other cheek', but being a follower of Christ don't mean stupid nor silly tho. Ever heard of evasive action? Even Master Jesus deployed it on a number of occassions. . . ![]() Now, Jesus Christ is coming, maybe sooner than we might imagine and we will do well not to let traditions of men blur the clarity which the Good News was presented to us. It could well be some while away though, but again (who knows). Kudos folks, I'm still urging y'all to ponder the post. . . |
