Well Identogo/ morphotrust will not send you the cards, they recommend you contact the board...... you have to call the texas board to make a request, which can be very frustrating. On normal grounds they are suppose to send it to you, but it takes so much time, had mine delivered to me after like 3 months of calling in, well eventually they sent it, but errmmm already purchased one from a colleague who had a spare.... Well if you need the card n direction on how to go about it easily, contact me via email Feyideyinks: It's very easy. Did mine 2weeks ago. You sure you wanna go down the road of NNAS?.....they are some sick set of people... 99% of the time your credential evaluation comes out as incomparable with theirs, if a graduate nurse in the United States cannot meet up with their requirements, how much more our naija schools, do your research well before embarking on the journey dear.... + their evaluation takes almost a year, after which you are referred to take the osce cos you don't have what they need, and thats another long journey, and then they refer for a bridging course that's like starting over a degree program again, ever since the introduction of NNAS bout 3-4yrs ago it's really been a nightmare to IEN's Just do your research well, I might be wrong, I stand to be corrected... Apparently Nigerians are denied visas to India to write nclex, and Errmm it is said that if you try the US for the B1B2 visa on the basis of the nclex, it's most likely you are denied the visa, and there is the path of the Nursing conferences you can go through, @auschris suggested NANNNA which apparently has one scheduled for the month of November, but then again no one is assured with the US embassy, don't got no direct relative in the states, still hoping I could write over there ....anyone with suggestions on how I could get the visa to write in the US or let me just do the phillipines, don't wanna take a negative risk... |

For real, I think if you read from the top to the very last page of this thread you should have gotten the answer you need... Well in your case I feel your choice should be dependent on how funded you are to go on this ride, if you eventually opt for the US, you'd have to foot the bill solely, at least to the point when you write and pass your NCLEX, the UK is quite fast and less expensive, all you need to do is pass the IELTS with a score of 7 on each module, people write IELTS as much as 5 times just to get the required cut off, your score is cool but fact still remains it doesn't meet up, so you can decide to spend 68k writing the IELTS again that's if your first attempt was the UKVI version, and if it wasn't 81,500 thereabout for the ukvi version, and have an agency take it up from there when you have the required score, With UK 1 year experience is very okay regardless of the type of health facility, for Canada Hmmm its just a no go area atleast with all the info I was able to gather from different sources. Well if you have enough money and time in your hands you can try it out. Then Australia, you also need that 7 on each module . lovelyd89: Hi all, I just joined this forum and it has been quite a very inspiring, knowledgeable and insightful platform.I took my time to read from the beginning of this conversation to the last page. A big congratulations to all who have recorded successes in their various efforts of working abroad. Gracias to @Iyiman, @Endowed, @Auschris, @p406 for all the detailed information. Please I would like an advice on what to be done as regards my case. I am a registered nurse in this country, graduated in 2011, I have one year experience in a tertiary hospital(LUTH), subsequent 3years experience was at a big diagnostic centre in Lagos. I currently work as a nurse in an outpatient clinic which is not up to a year. I have intentions of working abroad,US, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland , anyone which turns out positive. I started out with Ireland because I felt it was easier and cost effective. I wrote IELTS with LS8.5,R8.0 W6.5 and an overall band of 8.0. However for Ireland Writing requirement is 7.0, so now I can not use the result for Ireland. I currently sent my application to Avant but got a response from them that my application was rejected because I lacked the 100-bed acute nursing experience and should get one before I can apply. Please can anyone advice on what I can do. Even if I have to write another IELTS, I figure this result is too good to be wasted and want to try all available options before attempting another one. Please kindly assist with any information on what to do please. Thank you in anticipation. . N.B I would not mind information on US as well |

Texas Board of Nursing actually sends you the standard FBI print cards 10 and a few more days after your application reaches them, You then enroll with identogo as an international candidate, to have the cards submitted to their mail after you have taken the prints with the law enforcement agent here in Naija, TEXAS BON have an exclusive contract with 'em .....cost of enrollment with them is 37dollars..... Then about the verification of your secondary school cert with cgfns for those applying with Texas, all they need is your sec school diploma, notarized copy of your WAEC result and testimonial should do that..... Recent updates from my end, as I progress through, would drop Info here for those pursing Texas too......lets help each other |

It's a must you fill in details of your secondary school, post secondary too if you attended any.... If you do this, you shouldn't have any problem with the payment page, all they need is your secondary school details, date of grad, name used while in the school, if the school is still in existence n all...... Don't think that's an issue......you only verify your nursing license and get your professional and academic transcript sent to 'em from your school, that's with the cgfns form filled goodman31: Please help.when I was about get to the payment page CES in cgfns website the page refused to move until I tick verification of my secondary school certificate. So my question is for who choose Texas as the board for their Nclex did you do verification of secondary result because I saw on the page that it is a must. Also is school of nursing certificate enough for me to eligible to write Nclex. Although I finished my bnsc since last year but LAUTECH palava as not made me to collect my results |

Sigh.... All these delays and delays, would you atleast be exempted from it if you apply for the expedited service? And again Auschris stated that it takes 25 days for cgfns to send you a message on receiving your documents, are you suppose to wait till then before applying for the expedited service, or you could go ahead after you track it delivered to them.... M a lil but confused by this..... finfol007: I also sent mine last month and FedEx reported it got there on the 15th, was told by my agency to wait and to give them a little bit of time. Na wait me too dey like you ooo |
Travel › Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by AjaoSandra: 8:39pm On Jun 01, 2017 |
I'd just wait then till the board gets the CES report, I also feel that should cover all requirements, if after that they still request for it, then I'd verify again, n I just went through the checklist again, it stated (if applicable), didn't see that part before. Thanks so much for your response, it came at the right time. P406: If the board gets your CES report from CGFNS, then that has fulfilled that requirement. So you only do it once. But if your CES report has expired, then u need to send the verification form back to council to verify to Texas or pay CGFNS again to send another CES report which contains the required licence information. I believe the requirement states CES report or licence verification from home country. In a nut shell, since the council is verifying your licence to CGFNS, and then Texas, the required info is right there. So, no need to verify twice. |

If you are applying for the UK, you should register for the UKVI, that's the only accepted ielts version for their immigration, once you have that UKVI number, subsequent exams can be the normal ielts, thats if you don't make it at once, and for IELTS writing the major tip there is #paraphrasing the question in the first paragraph, #giving at least 2 examples to back up your stand stated in the 1st paragraph too #then explain each example in the 2nd and 3rd paragraph respectively, and on each fact focus your write up on a personal experience,(give them one or two stories for each fact) don't give em google facts, it is even stated in the question, #good vocabs, #then your spellings #Then the conclusion.......done IELTS 3 times had 8 and 7.5 in #writing on the 3 occasions, and that was basically what I did......na for #Reading Dem dey always knack me 6.5, lol Yeye pipu Omotolale: Which type of IELTS did you register for? #68k academic IELTS or #81520 IELTS for UKVI? Lol even o Grady Peyton requests for 100 beds, all of them sha like 100 bed, like that shows how proficient you are as a nurse, I worked as a student nurse in a teaching hospital for 4 years, n whilst I was at that I vowed never to work as a Nurse when I graduate, my whole mindset about the profession changed when I got employed in a private setting, atleast things were done to some extent the ideal way, no sentiments o, but the truth is that you can ignore your duties as a Nurse in a government hospital, since "Na government work" supervision isn't tat intense, but in a private hospital, you'd work your ass out, that petty cash they pay you, the management would ensure you work for every dime, it's crazy though, but just that 2years experience has given me skills and knowledge my fellow colleagues working in a government setting don't have, plus again it depends on the kind of private hospital, .... It's DIY for me though, I can foot the bill, na the whole 100 beds thing make me no start the whole process since, wey I dey waste time..... But thanks for this forum and thanks for the right information. God help us all. auschris: I don talk am before. There are other agencies apart from Avant. |
