RomanceMan Punishes His Wife By Ordering Nephew To Rape Her by ajasbaba(op): 3:50pm On Oct 14, 2013
A woman was betrayed by her husband in the worst possible way.Not only did he have s*x with his wife against her will, he also told his nephew to r*pe her. The 24-years-old husband of Rushinga, Zimbabwe, invited his nephew to his house for dinner. The young woman cooked dinner for her husband, her nephew and for herself.

After spending time together, the husband told his wife that it was too late for their nephew, 22, who lives in Bulawayo, to go home. The husband then offered the nephew to stay at their house and sleep in the couple's room. It is alleged that the three slept in the same room when the husband began to demand s*x from his wife. She refused to have s*x with him, saying it was inappropriate to have s*x in full view of their nephew.

The husband became angry for being rejected and began raping his wife in the presence of his nephew. The woman tried to leave the room, but her husband held her back. He then ordered his nephew to have s*x with her while he held his wife’s legs. The next day, the woman told her aunt about the incident, and was advised to report the incident to the police.

The police report indicates that the husband and nephew spent the night taking turns raping the woman. Mashonaland Police spokesperson Petros Masikati confirmed the incident, saying that investigations were ongoing. Police said the two men were on the run and were still at large. Police have launched a manhunt to locate them.

Masikati appealed to members of the public that whoever knows the whereabouts of the men to report to their nearest police station.
RomanceWhat To Do When Your Boss Is Your Boyfriend by ajasbaba(op): 12:26pm On Oct 14, 2013
An office romancé comes with its own set of rules and complications. However, it gets even harder to deal with when your lover also happens to be your boss. We tell you how to balance both.

Learn to take no for an answer
There maybe times when you both don’t see eye to eye about an issue. Instead of resenting him for it, discuss the same, try and understand his point of view, even if you can’t accept it. When you are back at home be yourself and say remember “It’s business, not personal.” Also, there will be office gossip, avoid providing the material for it by arguing at work.

Avoid indulging in too much PDA
The one thing most couples find hard to do when in a relationship is to limit PDA when in public. While it’s natural for you to have moments when you just want to reach out and hold the person, people around you may not be comfortable with it. So as far as possible, avoid PDA in office, a light touch or a peck on the cheek is okay, provided it’s in the confines of your own cabin, and not privy to prying eyes. Also, if possible avoid baby talk in office, and take breaks with other colleagues. Leave office at different times even a few minutes’ difference looks professional.

Learn when to pull the plug on work talk
While it’s okay to talk about what happens in office, make sure you also have time for yourselves. Learn to respond to your partner’s cues, and that will teach you when they have switched off mentally, even if they have not said so, and want to discuss anything apart from work.
NYSC89% Corps Members Can’t Write Good Application, Lack Communication Skills —NYSC by ajasbaba(op): 8:25pm On Oct 11, 2013
The Kano State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Sanusi Abdulrasheed, has said that about 89 per cent of corps members could not write good application or communicate effectively in English Language, rather they prefer to communicate in “broken English.”

Making the assertion during the corps members passing out parade in Kano on Thursday, Mr Abdulrasheed said this inadequacy was revealed in a research undertaken by NYSC managements nationwide,

According to him, “I have been asked to remind you, and I don’t want you to feel insulted, but it is a statement of fact. The NYSC managements throughout the federation noticed one thing in you: the majority of you were not communicating effectively. For some of you, the NYSC has researched into what you were writing in form of application. The managements have noticed that about 89 per cent of corps members cannot write a good application, honestly and that is the fact.”

He said the research indicated that “the majority of you start writing application with your name like ‘I Sanusi Abdulrasheed hereby...’ This idea is zero . You should know that the point of communicating with the world is through application. When you start wrongly, those that know the use of language would know that such a person lacks communication skills and such an application would be put into the dustbin .”

He then urged them not to feel too big , “go and buy primary and secondary books, therein you would learn many ways of writing good application.”

He, however, noted that a good application starts with “ I hereby wish to apply for accounting position in your organization. This is just an example.”

The state NYSC boss further advised them to stop looking for white collar jobs, saying it is better for them to put into practice the vocational skills learnt during orientation and become self employed.

On the number of corps members that would repeat their service for one offence or the other, he said that though they were few, he could not say categorically the actual number of those who fall into this category or those who absconded.

CelebritiesSHOCKING: Man Eats His Daughter’s Flesh And Drinks Her Blood by ajasbaba(op): 8:16pm On Oct 11, 2013
Papua New Guinea man described as a vampire has been arrested after allegedly murdering his young daughter by biting her neck, eating her flesh and drinking her blood, a report said Friday.

Police called the grisly incident that occurred on Wednesday at a settlement near Lae “an act of cannibalism”.

The PNG Post Courier cited local councillor John Kenny, who was one of the first on the scene, as saying the three-year-old child and her mother were visiting the father when he grabbed the girl and ran off into nearby bushes.

Kenny said the man allegedly held the toddler close to him, bit deep into her neck, ate the flesh and sucked her blood.

Two boys who were climbing a coconut tree nearby saw him and ran quickly to raise the alarm.

“He was just laughing at the boys and continued eating the flesh and sucking the blood,” Kenny told the newspaper.

“The boys were scared and ran quickly to alert the people.”

When people arrived to investigate the man reportedly dumped the body in the bushes and ran away before being caught and turned over to police.

PNG is a sprawling nation where black magic, sorcery and cannibalism sometimes occur.

Last year police arrested dozens of people linked to an alleged cannibal cult accused of killing at least seven people, eating their brains raw and making soup from their joysticks.

There have been several other recent cases linked to cults, witchcraft and cannibalism, with a man in 2011 reportedly found eating his screaming, newborn son during a sorcery initiation ceremony.

RomanceMY STORY: Confession Of A Female Séx Addict by ajasbaba(op): 8:09pm On Oct 11, 2013
I think I realised I had a problem when I was walking back to the house of a man that had physically hurt me badly in the act of séx, and I was willingly about to give myself up to him again.

Despite being terrified and it making me tremble and sick, I somehow couldn’t stop myself, I had to have my fix.’ Becky says in a recent interview."

‘Afterwards I felt used, I hated myself for what I had done, but that didn’t stop me. Married, attached, fathers, brothers of other conquests, it made no difference the more screwed up the better in the heat of the moment – the higher the rush, and the deeper the low.’ She continues.

‘It wasn’t just men, it was pórn, dangerous séx, exhibitionism, everything was just séx, séx, séx, which meant just about anything that could give me that high. The more intense, the more I needed, like it wasn’t enough, I had become desénsitised to it.’

Séx addiction is a hotly debated topic on which psychologists simply cannot agree. An addiction originally referred to a chemical dependence on a substance that had physical and psychological effects. ‘Behavioural’ addictions, for example to gambling, shopping or séx, are more open to interpretation as they cannot be scientifically understood.

Séx does create chemical reactions within us and some psychologists believe that this can create a sort of semi-physical dependency as well as the behavioural element to this particular ‘addiction’.

It is quite commonly agreed that an addiction is present when a person cannot easily stop something, even when not stopping is detrimental to their lives. In Becky’s case she explains that her need for séx was creating very real difficulties for her.

‘It was affecting other areas of my life, my self esteem, the relationships I had with my friends and my family, who by the way could see what I had become, but I was determined I was in control.’ She explains.

When asked why she felt the need to behave this way Becky tells us ‘It really was like a drug, the adrénaline, the fear, the ‘buzz’ was intense, then the low afterwards was just like a comedown, yet séx seemed to be the only way I felt appreciated or ‘good’ at something.’

Although it is more common for men to admit to séxual addictions, and some of these ‘addictions’ surface only when an indiscretion has forced someone to look at their inappropriate behaviour, there are women like Becky who are finally coming out of the shadows and discussing this issue.

‘I know where it stems from (Becky refers to abuse in her childhood she does not want to discuss), but even with the knowledge it’s not as simple as just stopping a pattern of behaviour, I had to change everything including the way I looked at myself.’

Thankfully Becky is now in a stable and loving relationship and has received counselling. Although her darkest days are behind her she admits ‘I am learning everything from scratch, relationships, boundaries, and my own values. It isn’t easy but when you love someone you do change, I have always been able to do things for other people that I cannot do for myself.’

‘I still place very high value on séx, I need to feel wanted in that way or my world falls down, if my husband say’s ‘not tonight’ I feel like it’s the end of the world, but hey I am finally having great, fun, non-dangerous séx, I want as much as I can get!’ She sums up.

People can change their behaviours and addictions can be overcome. Becky had counselling that she say’s ‘really helped’ her but agreed that the biggest change came from within. If you are struggling with your desires and think you need help please see our resources below.

PoliticsNigerians Now Read News Online”- Newspaper Vendors Blame Internet For Low Sales by ajasbaba(op): 6:28pm On Oct 10, 2013
Newspaper vendors in the eastern Nigerian city of Umuahia, in Abia State, have attributed the low sales being experienced to the public’s dependence on social media and newspaper reviews by broadcast stations in the country. Some of the vendors, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), also noted that another factor for the dwindling number of newspaper readers was unemployment especially among the youths. One of the vendors, Mr Daniel Maduagwu, recalled the good days when, he said, sale of newspaper was a lucrative business. “It used to be a lucrative business but since the advent of social media it has dwindled in terms of what we sell on daily basis because some people now prefer to read the news online. “Some radio stations review these papers very early in the morning. After listening to the review, some people may lose interest in buying newspapers to read,“ he said. He said that the economic status of prospective customers had an effect on their trade. “Economic hardship in Nigeria is another thing that is impacting negatively on our business because I believe we first of all need to eat, take care of some other things, before we can talk about reading newspapers. “Another problem we have is the issue of free readers; every morning, they cluster around our tables and sometimes you have to push them away before they agree to leave your newsstand. Some may not even be interested in reading. “They like to just gather around and listen to other people’s discussions about national events,“ Maduagwu stated. Another vendor, Mr Agwu Okpara, said that it was disturbing that most vendors were now finding it difficult to address the needs of their families owing to the dwindling fortunes of the business of selling newspapers. “To be frank, since the introduction of social media the business has dropped. People now go to the internet to read any paper they want to read. They don’t come here and patronise us as they used to “So we are finding it very difficult. Before now, on days like this, people will be here waiting for Guardian to arrive. I used to get N2,000, N3,000 deposits from people for The Guardian newspaper alone. “But it is no longer so because of the internet. So this thing has automatically killed the business. We are no longer living up to expectations,“ he lamented. Okpara appealed to the government at all levels to do more in the area of job creation, and to also come up with a legislation that would reduce the news content in the social media. CrimeJesus Gave Me The Gun I Am Using To Rob' – Armed Robber Confesses by ajasbaba(op): 2:22pm On Oct 10, 2013
According to the Nigerian Tribune, a suspect,Farayola Oladimeji, who was paraded by the Oyo State Police Command recently stunned everyone when asked about the source of the gun he was using for robbery and he replied that it was given to him by his friend who goes by the name ‘Jesus’. The 29-year-old Ogbomoso-born man, described as a one-man squad armed robber, was arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Oyo/Ogbomoso axis, following a tip-off on his alleged criminal activities, which included snatching of motorcycles and dispossessing students of their phones and other valuables. The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor told Crime Reports that after the suspect’s arrest, two unregistered Bajaj motorcycles and one cut-to-size locally-made pistol, nine live cartridges and different types of handsets were recovered from him. Oladimeji, who confessed to the crime, said he was into the sale of motorcycle parts until he fell victim to okada snatchers in 2011. The suspect said that the experience made him to decide to ply the same business to make money. Narrating the event he claimed led him to robbery, Oladimeji said: “I got a motorcycle to work with, with the agreement that I would pay for it instalmentally. “The okada was collected from me by someone who posed as a passenger. I paid the money back with much difficulty so I decided to start doing what was done to me. My operational method was to ride on an okada as a passenger. Whenever we got to a lonely place, I would ask the okada rider to stop and would pull out a gun, asking for the key of the motorcycle. “I have snatched four motorcycles through that method. My friend, whose name is ‘Jesus’, gave me the gun. I was also using it to dispossess students of Ladoke Akintola Univeristy of Technology of their mobile phones. I meet the students in a class and rob them.” Oladimeji disclosed that he started his operation in 2013. “I dismantled two of the motorcycles and sold them in parts while I was using two for myself. I got about N30,000 from the sale of the parts.” The PPRO said that the suspect would soon be charged to court.

IslamHAJJ Pilgrims Defrauded, Stranded At Lagos Airport by ajasbaba(op): 9:24am On Oct 09, 2013
No fewer than 150 intending pilgrims to this year’s hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia were left stranded at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos following their inability to show evidence of having secured a travel visa for the journey to the Holy Land.

It was gathered that the pilgrims, mostly from Ogun, Osun and Oyo states had been defrauded by a travel agent hired to secure travel visa, airfares and accommodation for them while in Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims were expected to travel to Mecca last Friday with Qatar Airways, but the trip was truncated following the failure of the travel agent to show up with their passports and travel visas.

The agent (name withheld) was believed to have raked in about N142.5million from the 150 pilgrims as each of them was said to have paid N950, 000 for visa processing, airfares and other logistics charges.
When Daily Sun visited the airport, it was a pitiable sight as the intending pilgrims had converted the departure hall of the international airport into their sleeping apartment.

It was gathered that Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia would officially close today, which means if they failed to travel yesterday night or early today, their dreams of participating in the 2013 hajj exercise to Mecca would have been defeated.
One of the pilgrims, Mr. Abdulwasiu Adeyemi from Abeokuta in Ogun State, who spoke to journalists, said they arrived at the airport as early as 7am last Friday, but were yet to travel for the hajj in Mecca.

Adeyemi said each of them paid the agent N950,000 for the visa, air ticket and accommodation, but lamented that as at last Friday, some of them could not lay hands on international passports containing their visa as the agent failed to show up.
He said the passport was only given to him and some others yesterday and that they were asked to pay additional N280,000 for a return flight ticket for the exercise.

“I’ve never had any business deal with this company (the travel agent). He told us to be at the airport as early as 10am last Friday for our flight with Qatar Airways and we complied, but unfortunately, our passport and visas were not given to us by the agent as he claimed that they were not ready then.”

Another affected pilgrim, Alhaja Muibat Arogunjo, lamented that the agent had turned her pilgrimage into a thing of sorrow .
Arogunjo said she had spent all the money in her savings for the exercise and could no longer cough out more funds for a new ticket. But a representative of the agent at the Lagos airport, who declined to mention his name, told journalists that the pilgrims were not defrauded by the company.

“It is the delay in the return of their visas by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Nigeria that led to the inability of the pilgrims to travel at the agreed date,” said the official.

CelebritiesWith 20 Billionaires Nigeria Tops Africa Billionaires List by ajasbaba(op): 3:58pm On Oct 08, 2013
There are far more African billionaires than previously thought, Ventures magazine said Monday in a report on the continent’s mega-rich, but the number of Africans living in extreme poverty has also shot up.

Previous Africa-rich-lists named as few as 16 billionaires, but Ventures said its exhaustive research had identified at least 55 on a continent where the wealthy often fiercely protect details about their fortunes.

The pan-African business magazine said it was able to uncover dozens of new billionaires by using “on-the-ground knowledge” to overcome hurdles that may have “hampered” other researchers. Of the 55, 20 are Nigerian, including several oil barons, while South Africa and Egypt boast nine and eight respectively. Ventures’ supported reports by Forbes which listed Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote as Africa’s richest man with a fortune of $20.2 billion (15 billion euros).

Dangote, who made his fortune in cement, heads a multi-interest empire, profiting from products including flour and sugar, while eyeing a massive investment in oil refining. The continent’s richest woman is Nigeria’s Folorunsho Alakija, whose Fama Oil owns an offshore oil block, which she acquired in 1993 “at a relatively inexpensive price”, likely through a helpful connection, the magazine said. Alakija studied fashion in London, then made dresses for Maryam Babaginda, the late wife of Nigerian military dictator Ibrahim Babaginda.

The former designer “is believed to have ridden on the crest of this relationship to acquire an oil block,” off the Niger Delta in southern Nigeria, said Ventures. The most prominent South African named is Nicky Oppenheimer, worth an estimated $6.5 billion, whose fortune came largely from the diamond mines his family controlled for decades, which were operated by De Beers.

Oppenheimer sold his family’s stake in De Beers two years ago. The figure of 55 is “actually an under-estimate” of Africa’s billionaires, Chi-Chi Okonjo, the founder of Ventures, told AFP. “People are not comfortable disclosing their wealth,” he said.

Corruption is rife on the continent and the rule of law still unevenly applied. African business moguls often face accusations that their fortunes were illegitimately earned, including with extra-legal help from political patrons. The apparently rising number of ultra-rich Africans has come amid broader economic growth on the continent, which has seen an average of five percent GDP expansion since 2010. But economic growth has not kept up with a rising population.

“There are more than twice as many extremely poor people living in sub-Saharan Africa today (414 million) than there were three decades ago (205 million),” the World Bank said in April. It is the only region where “the number of poor people individuals has risen steadily and dramatically,” over the last 30 years, the bank said.

In an interview with the Guardian, R&B star, Chris Brown goes personal and talks about how he lost his virginity when he was eight years old, to a local girl who was 14 or 15.

This probably explains his anger issues.

Chris said :

“Yeah, really. Uh-huh.” He grins and chuckles. “It’s different in the country.” Brown grew up with a great gang of boy cousins, and they watched so much P0*n that he was raring to go. “By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I’m saying? Like, girls, we weren’t afraid to talk to them; I wasn’t afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it.” (Now 24, he doesn’t want to say how many women he’s slept with: “But you know how Prince had a lot of girls back in the day? Prince was, like, the guy. I’m just that, today. But most women won’t have any complaints if they’ve been with me. They can’t really complain. It’s all good.”

HealthAdenike Oshinowo's Battle With Endometriosis by ajasbaba(op): 7:11pm On Oct 07, 2013
It has been recently reported that former Miss Nigeria, Chief Adenike Oshinowo is now a mother of twins (a boy and a girl) via surrogacy.

The twins are Nike's biological children but was carried and birthed by another woman. It has also been alleged that the 47-year-old enterpreneur who battles with a disease called endometriosis, bought spérm from a spérm bank in the US.

Last week, she talked about her long term association with the disease (endometriosis is a disorder that occurs when the endometrium (cells lining the uterus) grow in other areas of the body, causing excruciating pain.)

Medical experts identify endometriosis as a significant factor in unexplained female infertility, chronic pelvic pain, and other gynaecological problems.

Read what she says below:

I have lived with endometriosis since the age of 13. I was sent to boarding school in England when I was seven. I went to prep school. It was during the first few days in secondary school that I began my periods (menstrual). They called the ambulance and I was hospitalized for 10 days because the pain started and wouldn’t stop.

I thought I was going to die, the first two days, I was in the infirmary with the matron and she kept saying, ‘O Adenike! We understand that you miss home, we understand that it’s a rite of passage, we understand it is difficult for you, we understand that every girl must go through it, but just bear it’.

I’m telling this story because it happened in England and, supposedly, the white people, who knew best, yet had no idea what was wrong with me. Every female student they had dealt with had had a normal period and coped with it, so they could not understand why I was dramatizing. They thought I just wanted attention. The pain was so intense I passed out. They called the ambulance and I was hospitalized. The challenge was now to get me to stop bleeding.

Challenge

Living with endometriosis is a challenge. When you see your doctor, your doctor just tries to treat the symptoms and assumes the pain revolves around your menstrual cycle. But this is not so. This pain affects every single aspect of your life.

I, as Nike Oshinowo, have never had an examination without my period, I have never traveled without my period. There are so many things I have never done without my period. When I am very happy my period comes. When I’m depressed, my period is there. I learned to just cope with it.

I love the quote that women wear their pain like stilettos. That is what I have been doing.

At 40

Until I turned 40, Nigerians didn’t know I suffered from endometriosis .When I turned 40, I granted an interview and Nigerians understood why I never drank alcohol. You cannot be on medication and take alcohol. It was finally understood why I was so clean cut and into healthy living.

At last it was understood why if I come to your party, at 8pm I had to go home to bed and to take my pain killers; because when you live with endometriosis, you live with pain. I have a library in my home. It is a library about pain. I have so many books on pain cure.

Ignorance

It is extraordinary the effect that endometriosis has on your life especially if you are ignorant. Ignorance is of two types – knowingly or unknowingly. My mother, unknowingly, was ignorant, because nobody had educated her about endometriosis.

She had two daughters, one didn’t suffer every month, the other did, but my mother didn’t bother about it. She just figured the one that suffered would grow out of it, especially since the doctors just recommended pain killers.

Pain

I talk about this pain, now, so that mothers, when their young daughters are starting their periods for the first time, and it is traumatic, they will go and sit with the doctors, ask questions and have it checked out.

Mine was left so late in life in spite of the fact that I grew up in England. It was frightening. I wish I had someone to blame, I wish I could blame the doctors. I have had so many surgeries I have lost count. I remember when Michael Jackson died and they talked about a drug he had been taking and I exclaimed –’ oh yes, I have taken that drug!’ You try everything to make the pain go away, so all I know is that I would not want a child of mine to suffer endometriosis. No. The only way to make sure that does not happen is to educate as many as I can.

Understanding

Everyone understands what cancer is. People know how to check for breast cancer, and are aware that, for cervical cancer, you do a pap smear. But endometriosis is not that easy. There are symptoms mothers and fathers, nurses and aunts and other caregivers can watch out for so that there would be no needless suffering like I had. I am living with endometriosis. I was born with it and there is no cure. Hopefully by the time I have menopause it will be better because once you stop menstruating, everything is over. Hopefully!

Have a baby

One ignorant doctor told me to try to have a baby because once you have a baby, the pain would all go away. I thought to myself that if I had a gun I would have shot that doctor, and I would have been locked away and there would be no one to give me pain killers. The reason for that relief generally is that when you are pregnant, you don’t have periods and a long gap of not menstruating actually abates the symptoms of endometriosis.

Challenge

But the challenge is the pregnancy. How do I get pregnant to get to that stage? It was wonderful meeting Dr. Abayomi Ajayi (of Nordica Fertility Centre, Lagos), who is so passionate and knows so much about the disease, in spite of the fact that he is a man and he is so willing to share his knowledge. Whatever I can do to stop a girl of 12, 13 or 14 not to suffer the pain of endometriosis, until she experiences menopause, I am willing to do. I’m working for endometriosis.

Menopause

I’m 47, and I’m looking forward to menopause. Menopause is slowly creeping up on me. People like us look forward to it because it gives us a breather. I have finally learned how to cope with the pain, how to live with endometriosis, and to manage the disease. It takes up a huge amount of my time and life. One pastor once said to me that I have to reject it.

He told me not to say “my endometriosis” but to refer to it just as a disease because it is, really, a disease. He said I must reject it. Well, I rejected it, but it didn’t go away. It is still here and I’m learning to cope with it. I hope those coming after me won’t have to cope the way I am. I expect they will have more relief because they would have been educated.

Symptoms

The number one symptom is severe pain, pain that you cannot imagine. That pain during periods is known as dysmenorrhea. A lot of people confuse dysmenorrhea with endometriosis. Dysmenorrhea could be a symptom of lots of things, but anyone experiencing painful periods should see a doctor.

Unfortunately, endometriosis cannot be diagnosed without putting you to sleep and doing a laparoscopy to see what is going on. There are many well equipped clinics around and it is easy to diagnose because our doctors are so well versed in laparotomy. It is not normal to have pain during periods.

Why me?

There is this thing about endometriosis, that it is a disease not truly understood because we haven’t done enough research. Where does it come from? How you get it is still not thoroughly understood because enough awareness has not been created. Unlike HIV/AIDS and cancer, a few years ago, there was no hope for a cure but now there is more awareness and people do not die of these disorders as before. But it is not the same about endometriosis.

This makes me wonder. Is it because it is a female thing? Is it because I’m a woman, considered a 2nd class citizen in the world? Must I suffer because I’m a woman? You wonder and ponder over these things. I need answers to these questions. Why do I have it and my sister doesn’t? Is it hereditary? Someone should tell me. If I give birth to a girl, would she have endometriosis? This is why we need serious awareness.

My sister doesn’t have this disorder. My mother doesn’t have it, but then, I look at my mother’s siblings and I discovered I have a sister that doesn’t have a child. I wonder if she suffered from endometriosis. I have a distant male cousin that doesn’t have a child. Does it also affect boys? There are so many unanswered questions. If I lock you up in a room for a month, you won’t finish answering my questions. I have so many questions. We live in a country in which we believe in symptoms more than the causes.

No to séx

Women with endometriosis do not want to have séx because it’s painful. It is very, very painful. So you do not want to have intercourse once and it is painful, you’ll not want to go there. It’s not something you are going to look forward to. I have read books on this. And even when you try to forget the fact that you do not want to, half the time you are bleeding. You are either bleeding, or you do not want.

So, on the average, my friends’ periods last about 5 days, mine, if I’m lucky, lasts 7-10 days and if I’m super, duper lucky, lasts less than seven days; if I have eaten what I should, and exercised constantly, it’s not so bad. Exercise works. If you look at a girl’s menstrual cycle, 26-27 days, remove the 10 days she’s been menstruating and remove the days she doesn’t want, when she has pre-menstrual tension.

When every part of you is sore, on those days, you are not going to want, and even on the remaining five or so days that you are ‘OK, you are not going to want to have intercourse because it is going to be painful. You just don’t want to. So you cannot have a proper relationship with a man.

Pain: Between menses and endometriosis

Sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference, that is why it is necessary to do tests. If all these symptoms are on, it is not the one you take analgesics.

The pain from intercourse occurs when there is the presence of endometrium. If diagnosed early and you interrupt the sequence, other things may not follow, can advise appropriately, infertility may follow, or told to have baby quickly, donor, or give appropriate advise.

See the doctor

If you have a daughter with pain, she would talk because she would think she is dying. I thought I was dying because I was ignorant. Go with her to see a doctor when there is pain. There are different tests. Doctors test with their hands, then they use the scan. I did that. The important thing is that when something goes wrong, pain is not normal, something is wrong, not to decide what to do, but, as a good mother, you take her to the hospital.

Breaking the silence

Endometriosis is as old as day but women do not talk, because they are embarrassed to talk about anything down there. What a woman is going to tell you is that she doesn’t like to sleep with her husband? To get a woman to start talking to you about her periods, even that will make you to be seen as a loudmouth. Even talking about her periods, it is not easy to get a woman to start talking about it. But doctors are able to pick it up because they are infertile.

Women are expected to have children in these parts and, if they are incapable of that, they have to find out why. Then they go to the doctor who traces it to endometriosis. Ultimately infertility would arise and they have to go to a fertility doctor.

Face of endometriosis

The face of endometriosis isn’t particularly glamorous. Even me, with my independent view, my laid-back attitude, it’s not easy. When I thought about it, I have a mother and family. I know what happened when I turned 40 and I talked about my endometriosis. I got thinking and I almost put it off. But I said no, this is time for action, we can’t keep postponing it. If they had postponed the research and awareness campaigns into HIV/AIDS or cancer, there wouldn’t have been the breakthroughs we have today.

Knowledge is power, information is king

How do you get people to talk? It is awareness, awareness, awareness. The more I talk about it, no matter how embarrassing the more awareness I’m creating. Talking about it is embarrassing; I’m not immune to embarrassment, by the way. Before coming here, I took my shame, locked it up and put the key in my bag and said I would face you and tell the truth the way it is.

Endometriosis, a disease

A disease is something that is not supposed to be there, and that is what endometriosis is. You are not supposed to have endometrial tissue in your abdomen. Surgery removes it, but the moment you menstruate, the pain comes back.
My understanding is that I have a uterus, every woman does. Something lines it. Just like when you want to bake, you line your pan with baking paper.

That baking paper or lining is the endomentrial tissues. But mine isn’t just confined to my uterus. It’s in my fallopian tube, it’s everywhere. Everywhere this tissue is, when you menstruate, that tissue will be doing the same thing. And you feel pain. Anywhere that tissue is, it behaves as if it is in the uterus.

The purpose of menstruation is to shed the lining and come out. I know someone who has endometrial tissue in her gut. Even in the brain. When you menstruate, it also menstruates and you feel pain there. Menstruation is made to shed and come out.

I have traced it back to the Old Testament. The woman that wouldn’t stop bleeding and you wonder why? So it has been since the beginning.

HealthChinese mother Forced To Abort Her 6-months Pregnancy By Govt by ajasbaba(op): 4:46pm On Oct 07, 2013
This is totally devastating. No family should EVER have to experience this. The Chinese government is being accused of dragging a pregnant woman out of her bed at 4 a.m. to force her to abort her 6-months pregnancy. According to DailyMail and SkyNews, A Chinese woman has revealed she was dragged from her home in the middle of the night and forced to have an abortion, three months before her child was due to be born. Liu Xinwen, 33, and her husband Zhou Guoqiang were left devastated after the mother-of-one was pulled from her bed and taken to hospital to be injected with an abortion-inducing drug. The forced abortion is due to China’s strict one-baby policy, introduced in 1979 to keep the country’s population under control – the couple already have a son. The couple claim that they were awoken at 4am last week after their door was kicked down and two dozen officials from the Shandong Province Family Planning Commission forced their way into their home. Mr Zhou told Sky News how he was held down on the sofa while his terrified wife was taken away to the hospital. He then spent a desperate five hours trying to find out where Liu Xinwen had been taken as officials refused to tell him. When he eventually found his wife at the People’s Hospital of Fangzi District in Weifang City, he arrived just minutes after the injection had been administered. ‘My wife was lying in bed. I asked her: ‘Have you been injected?’ She said ‘yes’. I asked if the baby was still moving.’ She said ‘not much,’ he told Sky News. ‘After that, I didn’t want my wife to see my crying. I went outside.’ The baby died in her womb and was delivered a day later – a horrific photo shows the fetus in an orange bucket next to Liu Xinwen curled up on the hospital bed. It was then the couple discovered they had been due to have a little boy, a younger brother for their son Zhou Junfeng, 10. Mr Zhou claims his wife was forced to sign papers which said she had agreed to the abortion. He said that when she refused she was told if she did not co-operate her husband would be arrested and she would be left with nothing. She told Sky News that after her son was born she had a contraceptive coil inserted, a procedure proscribed by China. She said it must have failed and she discovered she was expecting a second child when she was four months into the pregnancy. The couple decided against informing the authorities as they feared a forced abortion and instead hoped to pay a fine after the birth – this is sometimes acceptable in parts of China. It is not clear how authorities found out Liu Xinwen was pregnant. The Chinese Embassy in London told Sky News they were looking into the case. Known to many as the one-child policy, China’s actual rules are more complicated. The government limits most urban couples to one child, and allows two children for rural families if their firstborn is a girl. Though the government credits the policy with preventing hundreds of millions of births and helping lift countless families out of poverty, it is reviled by many ordinary people. The strict limits have led to forced abortions and sterilizations, even though such measures are illegal. Couples who flout the rules face hefty fines, seizure of their property and loss of their jobs. This is so heartbreaking!

Romance6 Weird Things Men Like In Women (A Must Read) by ajasbaba(op): 3:37pm On Oct 07, 2013
Strictly for Adults and Fresh Couples... Sometimes daring to be a little different can really help you out. Being like everyone else never pays out in a great way. Men like women who are different, so much so that many a times, the weird things that you do, can attract them majorly. The likes and dislikes of the two sexes differ in approach. So, here are some of the weird and surprising things that attracts men in women. 1.Do not be dolled up always! It is true that men like beautiful women. However, it really turns a man on when a woman dares to be herself and walk out clear in the light in her own real skin. Once in a while, take all that makeup off and walk to your man like you really are. He will not only be turned-on by it, but will also appreciate you more! 2.Be his visual delight Common is boring. Being different always attracts the eye. For the married, while in your bedroom, do something that is different from the usual stuff; something different from what your husband is really expecting of you. Try walking into your room wearing one of his shirts and without anything underneath. He will be turned on with the first look itself. Try different types of lingerie. Wear a corset at times. Go for something more classy like garters or fishnet stalking. Also, try wearing lingerie that does not match. It is a recent fashion trend much appreciated my men. 3.Do not always be dominated! Well, men like to dominate and that is true, of course! However, they appreciate it, if you turn the table occasionally. While in bed, make the first step. Do not always be subjugated by your man. Sometimes, take the command in your hand and rule him. He will appreciate your confidence. 4. Men like curves In the run to be skinny, women have almost forgotten the charm that lies in being curvy. However, men have not! To them, the idea of a skinny woman is daunting rather than sexy. So, ladies, work up on your curves and charm your man. 5.Confidence and wit is a great turn on! A confident and intelligent woman is a great turn- on for any kind of man. Do not hesitate to show your confidence or your wit. When he makes a joke, laugh at it, and with your wits, make it funnier. Provide him with a repartee when he is least expecting. Make yourself irresistible by looking at his eyes and putting across your point. Ooze out confidence and your man will shower you with his love and appreciation. 6.Bedroom Diva! Now this one is a major turn-on for any guy. For the married, after getting intimate dare to walk in your bedroom unclad and not with a whole sheet draped on your body. This will literally melt your man! Also, sometimes, talk dirty and show your sensual openness. Do not think about your looks all the time, a man likes your out-of-the-bed hair or smudged kohl eyes much more than the prim and proper you! Stay casual and he will be more comfortable in your company. Remember girls, men are visual creatures. So, show your sensuality and express your wildest fantasies because that is what men like. EducationASUP STRIKE Update: No Going Back On Strike by ajasbaba(op): 11:28am On Oct 07, 2013
The latest report reaching us is that ASUP strike will continue today, 7th of October, 2013 as the Federal Government is toying with the demands of the union, it is unfortunate that the F.G has turned it’s back on Education. Meanwhile, ASUU Strike is still ongoing and no agreement has been reached between the two bodies. The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) on Saturday, 6th October, 2013 instructed its members to commence strike from tomorrow, saying there is no going back on its words, seeing that the Federal is toying with the demand of the union. Speaking with THISDAY Newspaper, National President of the union, Comrade Chibuzor Asumogha said “it is true that we met with the Minister of Education on Friday, but there are certain things we discussed and agreed on, which he has not done, so we’re going ahead with the strike.” The National Publicity Secretary of the union, Comrade Chirman Clement Selchum, said the meeting with the interim Education Minister, Honourable Nyeson Wike, and his Labour Ministry counterpart, Hon Emeka Wogu, ended on Friday evening with the agreement that Wike should go back and announce the list of members of the Needs Assessment of Polytechnics, which he said the Federal Government had already approved and constituted, and also to release the white paper of visitation to Federal Polytechnics, which, he said, is already being worked on. “But the minister went back, called the press and told them a different thing from what was agreed upon at the meeting,” he said, adding, “Wike also went ahead to tell the public that the strike will therefore not go ahead, “querying whether it was the Minister that should tell the union members on whether or not they were going ahead with the strike. Chairman reiterated that “for the avoidance of doubt, the union is going ahead with the strike action until all its demands have been meet by the government,” lamenting that government seems not to be sincere with its dealing with the union. He added that “government has not even explained to us where it will get the fund for the circular for the CONTISS 15 that it has released, because NBTE said it has no money for that, since such arrangement was not made in the budget.”
PoliticsProphet TB Joshua Speaks On The Issue Of Boko Haram[read by ajasbaba(op): 11:03am On Oct 07, 2013
Getting Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua to speak on pressing national issues came with its obstacles. But with persistence, Kehinde Oyetimi got the popular pastor to speak. See what he said on Boko Haram and other issues below: Ques: The nature of insecurity in Nigeria is bothering everyone. Many people have given various pieces of advice concerning this issue. Will Boko Haram not end in Nigeria? Ans: We are fighting flesh and blood and not the spirit being that causes stealing, killing and destruction. Until we begin to fight that spirit being that causes killing, stealing and destruction, the battle will not end. Our neighbours are not our enemies. Remember that our neighbours can be our friends; our neighbours can be our enemies; our neighbours can be those who do not share the same faith with us. It is never the will of anyone to kill themselves because of anything unless there is the spirit to kill at work. Ques: You prophesied that from February 27 to April, 2011 there would be serious challenges that would threaten the April 2011 election. You called on the President to intervene in the political crisis in Oyo state because the governor would not be able to represent him in winning the election in the state. You said the president should look beyond PDP for success in his election, that his personality would win the election. You said the PDP would lose in Ekiti and Osun. You said God showed you that a group would attack people in the Northern part of the country, before and after Christmas in 2010. You predicted the bomb blasts in Abuja barracks and other states. These prophecies which you gave in September, 2010 to those in authority have all come to pass. You also stated that prayers could avert them. You predicted the Dana plane crash which was published in February this year. How do you see these visions? Ans: Romans 10 verse 9 states that “he that believes has eternal life.” By this statement, the believing means possessing. The instant that you believe, you have whatever you ask that is in accordance to the will of God. The instant that you believe that thing that is according to God’s will, it is yours. The instant you believe, you become a possessor of the father’s nature. It you confess with your mouth, if you believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, in this way, there is a level of confession and believing. It is deep, deeper, deepest. Everyone that believes has power to prophesy. The belief in our heart is released by faith. The belief to see visions is released by faith out of our mouth. Ques: For many years people have argued that you have no biological child. But now, we hear your daughter graduated in Law from the London School of Economics with second class upper division. What do you have to say? Ans: What do you want me to say? Ques: Is she your biological daughter? Ans: (Cuts in) She is my daughter. In fact she is my first daughter. She is my biological child. Those of you who say I have no child, we are yet to hear from your children. Ques: There are so many pastors with big churches that have their children being involved in running the affairs of those places. Don’t you want your daughter to be involved in church activities? After her graduation, what is her next line of action? Ans: Due to her excellent performance, she was given admission to study for her masters in International Law in New York University; she also got admission into LSE ( London School of Economics) and also to UCLA and other universities in Colombia for her masters. Ques: You went to Jerusalem many years ago. After you returned, there have been miracles taking place in your church. What happened to you there? Ans: I have been in the field of God’s work before that trip. I only went there to see where my father, Jesus Christ went, the things he touched. Ques: What are the next events that would happen in Nigeria? Ans: You want me to book an appointment with God? I will do so. Come next time; I will tell you.

RomanceAdvice- “I Allowed My Best Friend Have Sex With My Wife, Have I Made A Mistake?” by ajasbaba(op): 11:00am On Oct 04, 2013
I will try and make this as short as possible. Few months ago, out drinking with one of my best friend he begins telling me how sexy he finds my wife, and tells me he would love to have s*x with her. He probably expected to get punched in the shoulder, but I told him this has always been a fantasy of mine, allowing my wife to sleep with another man. Although I have never told my wife, or anyone for that matter. My friend and I did not speak about it until a week ago, and I invited him over for dinner last night. I never thought anything would happen other than than some minor flirting, due to her personality. She is the typical business women, very serious, no nonsense and professional. My wife was dressed very nicely, wearing a short black dress and black stiletto heels. I kept the drinks flowing, and the 2 of them started flirting heavily. He had his hands all over her and she was very responsive. I began making comments like you two need to get a room. Finally I said jokingly… you 2 should just get this over with and go in the room and have s*x. I went in the kitchen to get another drink and I hear a door shut. They had gone in the room together, and I just waited in the living room. A few minutes later I knew my fantasy was coming true, as I heard her beginning to moan. I waited a while and listened to her getting louder and louder and finally peeked in. He had her pinned up against the wall unclad wearing only her stiletto heels, pounding her absolutely senseless! I went back into the living room and listened to her. I have never heard her moan and scream that loud, and it went on for almost 2 hours. This morning she was concerned about how I felt and I assured her it was a huge turn on for me and that I was fine with it. I asked her for details of the experience and she told me that she had more orgasms than she could count, and that he was so big he could barely fit inside her, but once he was inside it was the most amazing feeling she has ever had. I can not wait for her to do this again, and she agreed to do this often! Should I just stop this now? I know I probably should, but really don’t want to!
