What will you say of George Akume of the same Benue State? Or that of Joshua Dariye, Kwankwaso and Ahmed Yerima. Those I have mentioned have been in power since 1999 and at one point or the other, they were Executive Governors of states for 8 years and all are also senators today.

Nigerian former minister of defence is in the current senate sir. He was equally two terms governor of kano state. Also, Sen. David Mark was a former military governor and minister. Among other examples sir.

You are still talking about the senate as a body. We are talking about a single senator. For example, the senators from rivers state alone have no power over Amaechi today. They couldn't even stop his nomination and they also can never remove him.

Even the senate you are talking about...for example, the senate has power to confirm an INEC chairman, they have no powers to remove him.

Same rule applies to ministers...but in this case, only the president can fire a minister.

Fayose was not impeached. The Supreme Court has ruled on that

Interestingly, only two former governors were impeached legally, they are Murtala of Adamawa state and Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa state.
The rest (Ladoja, Fayose, Obi and Dariye), Nigerian Supreme Court of Justices has overturned their impeachment at one point in time or the others.
