Adex097: bros, i think its better you change that. Number (2) answer with an immediate effect because such question ain't worthy enough to cause an argument....if government fixes the price of a commodity either above or below the equilibrium , every force of demand and supply won't be applicable anymore. The consumers are compelled to buy such commodity at the fixed price. Government intervention in price fixing artificially kills the natural forces of demand and supply aka the invisible hand....so please minimum price legislation brings about an increment in price.

1) Answer D

Reason: The law of variable proportion also known as Law of diminishing returns occurs as a result of firm applying both fixed factor such as land and variable factors of production such as capital and labour. And it occurs as a result of applying more variable factors.

The law is only applicable in the shortrun...

2) Answer is B

Reason is because government has fixed the price above equilibrium and as at that time there is excess supply, consumers are unwilling to buy and the price will have to fall. The reasons for minimum price legislation are as follows.

a) to protect farmers during bumper harvest
b) to also set a minimum wage rate

3) Answer Is D

Shortrun is a period where firms are advised to make profits and to cover their scale of production.

4) Answer is D

For any firm enjoying Economies of scale must have reduced his Average cost. In other hand if he Increase Average cost, he will experience Diseconomies of scale.. Also note that Economies of scale applies in the longrun or large scale.
