Buhari should give fashola ten billion dollars to complete many on going projects.

All Fashola needs is funds and he'll complete almost all the Federal roads in Nigeria.

Welcome development but a wrong timing. People might think it is because of the election.

So should every development be paused for fear of people assuming it's because of elections?

Acknowledged

On a related note, Tinubu got a total of 841,732 votes in 1999 but 20 years after in 2019, only 739,445 elected Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Governor!

A shame on Lagosians. I hope it wouldn't be 500,000 that will elect the next Governor of Lagos in 2023.

That was also one of the first things I observed. Lagosians can and must do better.

Politics / Re: LASG Removes Shanties On Coastal Road Alignment by Ajibel(m): 9:57am On Jan 29, 2022
Dapinski:

Bro, save us the Robin Hood speech. Majority of people in those places are grown adult who know they should not be living there.

Very unfair to Lagos is the fact that 99% of dwellers of those shanties are people from outside Lagos, and even Nigeria, who deliberately came to set up homes and lives in Lagos with no money, no jobs and absolutely no means of sustaining themselves.

Confused people like you love yabbing Lagos yet you are against moves the State makes to gain order and improved socio-economic gains for her law-abidding citizens.

Next you will start pleading the case for cultist killers and kidnappers.

The funny thing is that people like the person you quoted will be amongst those shouting that Lagos is the largest slum in the world, but when the government makes attempt to clear the slum, they'll now change tone and want the government to have sympathy on the dwellers.

They need to build the road.

This problem has been recurring for decades and it will continue to happen until the road is built. That road has been promised since the Jakande era and the only way to solve the problem is by actually building the road. If not, the shanties will return in a few months time.

I don't even understand the delay in the commencement of the road construction, or is it funding?. It was flagged off since last year, yet we haven't seen much done on it besides clearing up the place.

Despite this, you just can't compare this chap with Ambode in terms of major infrastructure.

Here's the difference, Ambode actually started projects from 0 level to completion.

114 roads in 20 LGAs + 37 LCDAs.
All modernized Bus stops from Lekki, to Iyana Oworo, to Oshodi, to Abule Ègbá, Ikeja, Alomosho were started from scratch and completed.

The flyover bridges at Ajah and Abule Ègbá were landmarks.

Airport Road, commissioned by Buhari

Oshodi Transport interchange.

I'm waiting for 30 major infrastructural projects started (not inherited) that Sanwoolu has completed himself.

Argue with facts and not sentiment

In terms of infrastructure
1st Fashola
2nd Ambode
3rd Tinubu

This is such a stupid take.

So because you want to see a governor start his own project, he should give less attention to inherited projects and fully focus on his like Ambode did abi?

What then is the essence of voting for APC in Lagos when there will be no continuity of projects

My happiness is that coach Eguaveon is clearly unhappy with the game play.

Exactly. Though we're winning but our gameplay has been crappy. We haven't exerted dominance in this game.

I am looking forward to improvements in the second half.
