cliqtips: There are quite a number of boats on Lagos water. The government has Lagferry and private investors contributes to the rest. Currently, the government is expanding the lagos water routes and building several new jetties. So yea, the government is ensuring that more Lagosians embrace water transportation through these initiatives. |

Sultty: OANDO will be building Universal Chargers at public places like malls and gas stations, and also at designated BRT bus stations. So that takes care of the electricity concerns. This is a pilot phase and the idea is that if this turns out good, an Assembly plant will be built in Lagos for electric buses in the near future. 1 Like |

ecolime: I hope you remember it's not only the governorship election that held. Even state HOA too held and those APC candidates in Kosofe, Ojo, Ajiromi where there people always vote the opposition won't want to lose. So my conclusion is that they're the ones who sponsored the thugs. 1 Like 1 Share |

If this election in Lagos was only about Lagos governorship election, my belief is that we wouldn't have witnessed this much thuggery in some areas in Lagos. But then people are known to vote same party for both Governorship and State House of reps. It is mainly these House of rep candidates and their political leaders i feel, are sponsoring these havoc that is being wrecked especially in areas where APC lost during the Presidential elections. Unfortunately, you can't distance Sanwo-olu from whatever is happening, because it is still his party. Though my support has been for Sanwo-olu, i feel so disgusted with the several reports of voter intimidation and violence in some parts of Lagos. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

prophetfire: I think this is where you get it wrong sir. The auctioning of cars is part of the Lagos traffic law and it applies to only traffic offenders who drive against traffic. I haven't seen where people commit other traffic offences in Lagos, and their cars were auctioned. And this law was in existence before Sanwo-olu became governor, and it is the mobile court that passes the judgment, not Sanwo-olu. So they are simply following the provisions of the law. If the people of Lagos feel this is a draconian measure, then the government of Lagos should be sued and made to repeal that law or make it a fine, like you suggested. |

I just hope what happened during 2011 general elections will repeat itself in Lagos, where people voted for PDP during Presidential, and turned around to vote for ACN during governorship election because Fashola performed.
