Brogrammer:
Hi devs,
After about 2 years of writing vanilla CSS(plain css), I jumped on Tailwind CSS ship today after being persuaded & forced by my dev friends grin

Tailwind css is nice and all and having a good knowledge of CSS made it easy for me to hit the ground running. Even though it kinda makes development faster, Tailwind css makes my markup ugly and robust yet effective LOL

Writing breakpoints using Tailwind css utility classes is kinda weird, why 'md:flex md:justify-center md:items-center' and not something like 'md:[flex justify-center items-center]'

Lastly, I know Tailwind will be hard to maintain on big projects. Imagine yourself scrolling down hundreds of lines of code (thanks to inline styling) to make changes to a line of text.

I'm still not convinced yet and I may just go back to writing my good old plain CSS.

Here's my first Tailwind CSS project: https://kaleidoscopic-taffy-873c3e.netlify.app/

Have you tried Tailwind css?? what is your reservation??

Very nice idea about this: 'md:[flex justify-center items-center]'

But have you considered using the @apply directive?

Sports / Re: WAFCON 2022: Oparanozie, Ihezuo Dropped From Falcons Squad by Ajibel(m): 12:29pm On Jun 21, 2022
9jaRealist:

The first 2 of Nigeria’s 11 African titles were before the present AWCON format…
When the Falcons win their first 2 titles, it was played just like the CAF champions league or confederations cup.

Thus, we are 11 times African champions…
But we are only 9 times AWCON champions.

Okay thanks for the clarification smiley
Sports / Re: WAFCON 2022: Oparanozie, Ihezuo Dropped From Falcons Squad by Ajibel(m): 5:50pm On Jun 20, 2022
robosky02:

China-based players Desire Oparanoize and Chinwendu Ihezuo have been dropped from the Super Falcons ahead of next month’s Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, The PUNCH reports.

This was revealed in a tweet on the official handle of the Super Falcons.

Oparanoize who was one of the nine forwards called up by Randy Waldrum for the 2022 WAFCON in Morocco was replaced in the squad by the Anam Imo while Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene was drafted in for Chinwendu Ihezuo.

“Just In: Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene has been called up to replace Chinwendu Ihezuo and Anam Imo will replace Desire Oparanozie,” the tweet revealed.

Meanwhile, Super Falcons’ captain, Onome Ebi has declared that the nine-time African champions are fully focused on the twin objectives of winning a ticket to the 2023 Women’s World Cup finals and retaining their Women Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco next month.

“We are aware of the intense competition that is going to play out there in Morocco. We have no illusions. Women’s football has continued to grow in a lot of other African nations, faster than anyone can imagine. So, there will be nothing like under-rating any team. All the teams will be upbeat about their chances and winning tickets to the World Cup.

“On our part, as defending champions, we know our strengths. We know what we have to bring to the pitch to conquer. The wise thing always is to take it one match at a time. We go up first against the Banyana, and then we have to face the challenges of Botswana and Burundi then the next stage. World Cup ticket is paramount, but we also want to retain our trophy.”

The Falcons who began their preparation in Abuja on Friday have won nine of the 11 WAFCON finals held so far.

They will take on South Africa, Botswana and Burundi in the group stages in Morocco.

The Cup-holders go up against the Banyana Banyana in their first match at the Prince Heritier Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat on July 4 before their fixtures against Botswana on July 7 and Burundi on July 10 at the same venue.

Nigeria have won nine of the 11 championships contested so far, done every other year since 1998, save for the 2020 edition that was obliterated by the coronavirus pandemic.

I thought Nigeria has won it 11 of the 13 times contested so far I checked wikipedia to confirm.

We might be leading by 3 goals, yea but this is a team that is ranked 191st in the world and 51st in Africa

Osimhen should use this game and increase his goal tally considerably for Nigeria.

God1000:
It appears we've not learnt anything from past mistakes that put us where we are presently.

Even the media isn't fair to all the aspirants, we keep hearing about certain people Everyday while ignoring other technocrats that have the expertise and requisite skills for the job.

We are all contributing to our problems and history will continue repeating itself in Nigeria.

Hasn't the results of 2019 Presidential election also taught you anything?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Nigerian_general_election#Results

Despite Sowore traversing the entire 36 states and FCT, he still couldnt beat unknown candidates in other mushroom parties.

This election, no matter how much the media tries to squeeze in and give attention to other parties, it will still at the end of the day be between APC and PDP

Romance / Re: Getting Back Together With An Ex ; What's Your Experience? by Ajibel(m): 2:37pm On Apr 18, 2022
Draslo:
I'm not here to seek anyone's validation or anything like that.

I recently got back in touch with an ex. We spoke for less than 3 minutes on the phone and it was pure bliss. We both laughed and it felt really good mostly cause I messed up something special we had way back in 2019. We met up in less than 24 hours. We're both single now. I hadn't seen her since 2020. She looks so much better and just as beautiful if not more. Don't get me wrong, she's a hottie body-wise and upstairs in her intracranial space. I was way too immature back then to be patient to try to build something with her. We met up and even though I did most of the talking, her body language was enough to satisfy me. I apologized for being a dick before I kissed her and she kissed me back. It felt so good cos since we broke up, I'd used her as a standard for my spec and no woman has been able to meet up. She's streetwise, business-oriented, drop dead sexy, super intelligent, beautiful (understatement) and to crown it, she never uses make up. She's as real as they come.

I know people tend to see getting back together with an old flame as a bad decision but I also know that the devil you know is better than an angel you don't know. Besides, in the breakup, na me f**k up. I never really got over her and I'm presented with an opportunity my guys will never, ever, ever get.

modified; this is the first time in my 16 years of sexual activeness since secondary school that i ever got back with an ex

This post is giving me the courage to also hangout with my ex some day. Maybe afterwards, I'll come back and share my own experience cheesy
