ajobi21:
Good morning house, thanks for the prompt answer, i really appreciate it. I however have one more question plss wink...for those that did online and applied with other family members, how did you manage the IMM5713 form(family representative) cus the form will not allow saving. Did you download, fill and upload? did you do this for any other form?
Hello Ajobi...i thought you didn't want to go the online route? PLEASE my candid advice is to do the paper application if time is a factor to consider....

@soletar...wow!! that is strange o...and I hear online is faster. Now I'm very confused. Hmm..i will have to rethink things then

This was to US, not Canada. Never been to canada myself

@ajobi, please did you encounter any issue at the point of entry? Were you asked about the purpose of your visit to Canada? If yes, what response did you give?.

Thanks as I await your response. Meanwhile, I intend submitting my Visa application in Sept.
It depends on your airline policy. I flew KLM last year and they didn't ask for it, but it pays for you to have it

.
Ashirahj:

@soletar, the thing tire me oo. I wish you all the best in your application. Please make sure you come back and give us feedback o...i don't understand people in this group, its beginning to get confusing

This is the precise problem i faced when i started frequenting this particular forum. On the "Giving birth in US" thread, you are explicitly warned NEVER to lie about your intentions to deliver there. Here, i kept asking and asking....from the evasive responses i got, i just decided to apply for Tourist Visa, go very early and deliver there. I haven't gotten a response from CIC yet.

Ashiraji is the very first person i have seen who actually declared her intentions....i am very curious and wish to learn from her experience, i am sure it would be beneficial for future applicants.

Good luck friends....waiting period is now 105 days! angry angry angry huh
@ashirahji, was it paper application or online. You stated dat u are pregnant and intend having d baby in Canada?
@ashiraji, please kindly help with this response. I have read through this thread and no one has ever been really explicit about this. Was it paper or online? and how exactly did you write it. Thanks for your help

Hello House, please I have a question. Should the cancellation of one's UK visa affect the entry into US. My friend is wondering if they would start asking questions at US POE

Hello House thanks for the responses I got concerning my visa stuff. I made a mistake, my visa is .
@kemisolanymat, you are very correct, NJ is quite expensive. Many of us going there plan to use Hackensack Mountainside hospital and Dr Fares. you can google them for further information. hope this helps.
@mummyprincess and @airpure I never meant that as an insult o, that's why I said correct me if I am wrong. I apologise if it came across as such. With your explanation, I like that you said you don't have to wait to be turned back before showing all your cards, so thank you for teaching me something new. we hear different things about answer only what you are asked, that's why I had that feeling. I'm glad I spoke my mind and got corrected.

@mummyprincess, Congratulations on your POE. So what did the lady do with your phone.

I just feel the need to make this comment...I feel you should only present what you are asked. I feel showing all 'cards' on account of being asked for just one is somehow. correct me if I am wrong, just looks somehow to me sha (maybe over sabi sef)

Good day my beautiful people of God, please i need help ooo, Does anybody here have a sister whose mummy's sister in law's friend has had a good birthing experience in New Jersey, Spent the whole of last night calling random doctors and hospitals and its not funny at all. I'm thinking of paying all those Agents to help me look for, but that should not be heard with a wonderful e-family like this. grin I have paid for my flight but still don't have a hospital. please help with suggestions oo. Thank you in advance
Hello everyone, am new on this forum and I must confess this forum has been very generous with useful information and tips.

why are they insisting on 28weeks? Are you high risk, if you are, then you may have to do as they say. If you aren't high risk, then that's strange cus most persons travel at 33wks but states and practices differ tho

@tbaby...You are advised to apply for visa with a passport that is at least 6 months valid. It's better you renew the passport before applying for visa. hope that helps

Congratulations to all new mums and all those that got their visas and all those successful at POE. Just had my baby girl yesterday evening at Hackensack UMC Mountain Side NJ. Not really impressed with the services of the hospital but the doctors were quite good.
@favouredB Congratulations on the arrival of your lil one. This one that you are not impressed with the hospital is scary o as it is what am planning to use. I know your hands must be busy now, but please when you can, kindly share any useful information we should look out for in using the hospital. Thanks dear

Hello house, please for those that ever had their doctor's letters checked at POE. How much correspondence are you expected to have with your doctor. I've made an enquiry, got a response with the cost attachment. No dates or commitment. Just wondering if this would do or we need to do more. Thanks

Hello House, thank you for all the wonderful information you all have been sharing. I have a challenge i would like help with. I've noticed that the hospitals don't have email addresses and even the doctor i want to use (New jersey). Is there any special website that provides these kind of information cus even when i called one of the hospitals, the receptionist said he doesn't know the email address of the hospital or even the doctors. please help. thanks
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by ajobi21: 10:13am On Jan 19, 2015
favouredB:
For Hackensack the quote I got from my doctor is 2k for normal delivery while hospital is 3,800k. Giving a total of 5,800k. This is exclusive of the fees from other professionals. I ran all their tests with a total bill of 650 but I paid 220, discounted bill. You are right. It's about the cheapest in NJ.
@FavouredB, which of the doctors are you using in Hackensack plus can i have his email address. Thanks
