Thanks for the explanation. How far ahead can one extend a return ticket?

You are probably right but extending a return ticket is cheaper than buying another one way ticket.

I thought most airlines won't allow you to book return flights later than 9 months from the departure dates. Pls enlighten if i'm wrong.

If you don't get any feedback as per your decision today/tomorrow, I think you should call them but note that the contact staff might or might not have the info yet because my own GWF number is still not recognized on the tracking site.
But I just got a decision mail from TLS. TLS site updated to decision made. I'm awaiting the collection mail. Nothing from Sheffield.
Online submission: July 16
Biometrics and interview: July 19 at TLS Ikeja

I misplaced my voter's card a few weeks ago. Will a company ID card suffice?

After your interview, you'll be given a document that contains your information and checklists. It is more like collection slip. You also need a form of identification carrying your picture and name as it is on your passport. That is it.

Following @cumulus announcement i have been tracking my application process (practically every five minutes) using the ukvi provided portal and to my surprise, the last time i checked my status had changed to DECIDED.

I am now waiting for the notification mail from tls contact and i am nervous as hell concerning the actual decision.

The ukvi site works, just keep on checking using your application number (GWF).

Biometrics on July 21. Standard. I didn't send enquiry. Ideally today should around the 15th working day so I think it's an autogenerated mass mail.

I did my biometrics on the 21st July at Ikeja.
