AYLiveSHows:
Ekiti State governor has today gifted Ekiti State teachers New brand cars Hyundai Xcent and KIA RIO.

On the statement he said; Just as it was done in 2015, 2016 , Today in Ekiti State, THREE lucky teachers will go home with brand new cars.

1. Best Primary School Teacher will get brand new Hyundai Xcent

2. Best Secondary School Teacher will get brand new Hyundai Xcent.

3. Headmaster General will get a brand new KIA RIO.
]
Mr Governor don't forget to give them fuel and maintenance money . You know that you are owning them for like 8/7 month salary so that they will not just park the cars at home .

I told them what my father once told me. That when all the chips are down, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and go to work. I am rolling up my sleeves and getting ready to go to work. With our sweat and determination we will make Ekiti great again. I told them to spread the news – tell every kid in Ekiti it is time to roll up their sleeves and sing songs of freedom. Hope is coming to Ekiti.
Happy independence day to all Ekiti man and woman .

How can I convince the youth that tomorrow will be better? It was a question that gnawed at my soul. These are kids who just want their state and their leadership to do right by them. They don’t want too much. They just want to be able to live in a land of opportunity because they know when there is hope, with their sweat and determination they will create plenty.
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 8:27am On Oct 03, 2017
These kids these days have not been that lucky, especially in the last few years. So, when some kids came to me the other day lamenting our great State and the future, how they love the State but don’t like the way it’s been dragged through the mud, how they’re tired of being the laughing stock of the nation, my heart bled for the State. But, that wasn’t all of it. One of the kids asked me, what would I tell the children of Ekiti.
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 8:24am On Oct 03, 2017
These kids know leaders who are everything but leaders. I knew leaders who were men and women of honour. Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Pa Adekunle Ajasin. Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti. Professors Banji Akintoye and Sam Aluko, Ewi Aladesanmi Anirare and Lady Deborah Jibowu.

But the entire state was .We have lost dozens of months where our farmers could have earned income providing the food for the children, our caterer could have been employed cooking the food and the lives of the people would have been tremendously better.

I often wondered what would have happened if I was born into this age of gloom, when the only thing that seems waiting at the end of the tunnel is doom.
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 8:17am On Oct 03, 2017
It was designed to increase school enrollment and encourage local farmers to go back to farm and increase food production.

Our kids in Ekiti were denied that opportunity until I started screaming for all to hear. I had to challenge the Governor in the presence of the Vice President about it for reason to sink into him. And, it’s not just our children that were losing out.
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 8:09am On Oct 03, 2017
It’s tough to preach hope when the emperor who specialises in doom snatches opportunities provided to the youth and children and dump them in his basket of failures. Take the case of the Home Grown School Feeding Programme of the Federal Government, for example. This was a no-brainer. The Federal Government had designed the programme to encourage kids to go to school by providing them a free meal, nourish them and improve their performance.
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op):
How do you sow hope in the midst of crushing bleakness? How do you tell a child to hold on a while longer and that better days are coming? How do you convince the youth that there’s something at the end of the dark tunnel and it’s not the brainless insanity of the last few years?
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 8:03am On Oct 03, 2017
I talk to a lot of the youth. A lot of times they seek me out – all over Ekiti and outside the state. I get tons of emails from many outside the country. Sometimes I seek them out. And they all have two questions – how did we get here? How do we get away from here?
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 8:01am On Oct 03, 2017
You think better driving the length and breath of the state as the sun rises over those glorious hills and mountains. Our towns have different names, from Omuo to Efon, from Emure to Iye but we are one.
I enjoy the easy banter with folks in the towns and villages. Our people are welcoming and prosperous. All they need is a chance, an opportunity. It takes me back to a time not too long ago, a time when boys could dream of bright futures and girls shaped their destinies.

I am a poster child for what is possible in Ekiti. I was born with little. Try hard as my parents did, we couldn’t afford much. But, we had something money couldn’t buy. We had hope. And, it wasn’t just me. It was most of the kids I know on the streets and in school. We knew if we kept good grades, we will keep moving forward.

But, those days are long gone. These days, driving through the streets is not the joy it once was. You have to cut through the cloud of gloom and doom that hangs over the state. Then you have to deal with the hopelessness etched across the faces of the children, youth and elders.

This is not the Ekiti of my youth. It is not the Ekiti of my dreams. And, we don’t deserve to live in this Ekiti fostered by a man who forgot the spirit of brotherhood that moved the state to the cusp of greatness before the vultures came.

The future of any society lies in its children and youth. Sometimes I wonder what sort of future are we leaving to them. Our fathers laid a great foundation for us to build a better future. That future is today. But, has our leadership in Ekiti laid a good foundation for the children and youth of today? Can the emperor really say he’s leaving the leaders of tomorrow a fair legacy?
Nairaland General › Re: Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op): 7:56am On Oct 03, 2017
Our elders used to say if you listen well, you could hear the voice of the angels whistling through the winds.

You can drive the length and breadth of my beloved state in an hour. If you’re an indigene of Ekiti or a resident of the state or someone who has had the good fortune of visiting with us, you will know what I mean.
Nairaland General › Ekiti Youth Time To Roll up Our Sleeves . By Ekiti Man by ak22(op):
One of the things I love doing is driving through the streets and towns of Ekiti State. It was a dream when I was a boy with no hope of ever getting behind the wheels of a car. It’s a hobby now that I am an adult. I love to drive as the soft morning breeze wafts through the air. Ekiti is a small state blessed with green vegetation. The morning air is pure and does wonders to the soul.

Sodia:
Have you ever wondered how beneficial rooting an android phone is? Well some may say yes, i believe your answer too is affirmative.

Now let me chip this in that: Everything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage. Rooting an Android phone of course comes with many advantages, alongside i will tell you the larger the advantage the larger the disadvantage. What does this mean? Hehehe are you kidding me, just in case don't know which of course am here to brief you about is the same way you will love your phone when you root it and admire that phone perhaps because of the functionality and features you get access to when you root your android phone is 100% from my research the opposite you get which is the disadvantage. Hope am not confusing someone here. Lol, hope you are not afraid of what may have happened to your android phone? I will say if you have rooted your android phone or about to root its a choice and what matters most times is knowing about something, its good when you know exactly the disadvantages of something, like what to expect and still go into doing it, you know thats risk by its own natural definition.

So what point am i driving at, well seeing this post is to show you the pros and cons of rooting an android phone, which are the advantages and disadvantages of rooting.

Before i go into this advantages and disadvantages, i would first like to define what rooting is. Now, this is my own definition of rooting.

What is Rooting?

Rooting is a process that allows you to attain root access to the Android operating system code (the equivalent term for Apple devices id jailbreaking). It gives you privileges to modify the software code on the device or install other software that the manufacturer wouldn't normally allow you to.

Defined in it simplest terms, hope my definition is explicitly enough. Now straight to the advantages and disadvantages of rooting an android phone.

Advantages Of Rooting An Android Phone

Though some may want to argue with me, you know, well knowledge and thoughts varies, but my advantages of rooting an android phone which I have highlighted below for sure covers all. check them out. Remember though advantages are very similar to the benefits of rooting an android phone also.

Full Control Over Android: Having total or full control of your android phone is the one thing infact number one benefit or advantage of rooting an android phone, which means you are able to decide some certain things on Android, you know take control over removal and deleting some system applications or files that may have consumed spaces, infact its more like you being the real boss of your phone and sending the messenger which is your android phone tasks to perform. Its general control over your android device.
Back Up And Restore The Whole System: Most unrooted phones may not be able to be backed up, like you running into recovery mode or using some gadgets to backup your device, when your android phone is rooted, you can do this, also restore your device, when rooted some files or applications might have been lost or missing, through rooting, you can get this back.
Save Space On Your Phone:Have you heard about RAM EXPANDER? this is an android application that works on rooted devices, it manages your RAM space by adding more memory to the cache/RAM of your android phone, with this you can have more RAM allocated to your initial RAM that comes with your phone, which helps you to save more space if you agree with me. Also it helps to save ROM space, normal ROM of your phone is the phone memory right? additional ROM is the memory card or SD CARD memory as some may call it. Now there are some phones i think Tecno P9, its a tablet, on this phone it gets to a point when you can no longer install apps on your phone memory, normal system ROM, and you still have memory space on your SD Card, by rooting your android phone you can move apps installed on your phone memory to your SD card, by free up your phone memory space and having more space to add more files using an app Link To SD; but all this is only possible if your phone is rooted.
Run Special Applications:An an android user, lately you should have heard or seen apps that won't work unless your phone is rooted. They call most of them special apps, like the RAM EXPANDER and LINK TO SD apps i have mentioned above, similar apps are the same, meaning they can't work and you cannot perform such special functions unless your phone is rooted.
Install Custom ROMs:What are custom roms? these are more like software, operating system, OS, of Android phones, sometimes when you cannot update your phone from a particular android version to another, you may need to get a custom rom, and this installation cannot be done except your phone is rooted.

Disadvantages Of Rooting An Android Phone

The opposite of the benefits: Well you may go into deeper thoughts on this like oppposite? really... Well its not a disadvantage like that but i just want to chip it in because something when your phone is not rooted, you don't get those benefits, but its not a disadvantage.
Cannot update via OTA (Losses Warranty from Manufacturer):OTA is known as Over The Air, which is the normal way of doing system/software update.
Easily prone to Malware or Viruses from Untrusted Apps. (Not protected).
Phone may crash at anytime in the future.

Let me know what you think of this in the comment box.
