The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has charged the second son of the late Chief Moshood Abiola, Deji, with alleged N35.5million theft. He is to face trial for alleged fraudulent conversion and stealing before Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo of the Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja. The EFCC alleged that he collected N35.5 million in 2008 from Jide Jose after promising to supply him printing machines from Switzerland. But Abiola never supplied the machines to Jose. Instead, he allegedly converted the money to his personal use, EFCC alleged. The defendant could not be arraigned yesterday, but Justice Onigbanjo ordered that he be remanded in EFCC custody. EFCC’s lawyer Omeiza Adebola moved to get Abiola arraigned. He said he ought to take his plea as the case had been before the court since September 2, last year, when the charge was filed. But Abiola’s counsel A.B. Kasumu objected, saying his client was just informed about the plan to arraign him. He said he should be given time to consult with his lawyers for the sake of fair hearing. Kasumu noted that Abiola had been on EFCC’s administrative bail, so there was no reason he would not turn up to take his plea. He said he also needed to file a formal bail application. Justice Onigbanjo adjourned till June 30 for Abiola’s arraignment. source nation newspaper |

^^^ sorry about that but what is he looking for in country runs by Colombian drug cartels, that country have nothing to export so cos of there desperation to live. Their military men are all involve in the drug trade i watched documentary about guinea Bissau they show how drug mafias drop pure cocaine through theirs hired planes and the Guinea soldiers will pick it up they don't have any equipment to fight Columbians so they better allow the drugs to keep coming into the country.Even their former president was murdered cold blood in 2008 in his presidential palace i think it related to drug business they killed him cos Europe want to use him to fight the cartels but the drug mafia used the country army that suppose to guard the nation to murder their president cold blooded, hope your husband is not involve in that trade cos guinea Bissau export only cashew nut they are very poor, wish you luck |
