Y are u forcin igbos to believe that he is a vailian and not a hero? I think they are d best people to make those decision not you! People should stop all these "I knw better rant", and allow them to idolize anyone they like the way they want. As for me, I think u people didn't knw all these issues better than them, yet they still believe he is the greatest igbo man ever lived, it will be stupid and crazy for someone outside to claim to knw about my father than I do, make una chill jari!

PoliticsRe: Post Civil-war Reconstruction In Eastern Nigeria: Was there any? by ak47mann(m): 5:09pm On Apr 10, 2012
PROUD-IGBO:
^^^You say the only reason Igbos bounced back is b'cos "Nigeria played nice and accepted Igbos back without conditions" shocked shocked shocked? Do you in all honesty believe that monumental crap you typed up there, or you're just saying it to try and defend an indefensible argument undecided?

*Do you know there was a point in time -during the military era- when there was NO IGBO PERSON in the highest decision making body of gov't? The rest of you fair-minded bastards didn't see that as unusual and unfair b'cos it was the Igbos you all loath and want to hold down;

*Do you know the erosion problems ravaging some parts of the South East could have been a manageable problem if it had been tackled in the 70's when it first reared its head. Meanwhile the environment in the North was being tamed and controlled with massive constructions of dams all over the place using Federal Gov't money (some of that money no doubt coming from the oil fields in Alaigbo);

*Do you know that it's just recently the South East has got an Int'l Airport (the issue of which is still open to debate, seeing as they don't seem to be serious about equiping it adequately with what is needed for Full int'l flights to commence). Meanwhile, some cities that record less flights and traffic numbers than any of the two main airports in the South East are given finacial support and the enabling laws to operate as an Int'l Airport (in effect subsidizing an economically unvialble venture for political reasons). If we believe said Airports are viable why aren't they self-financing, instead of waiting for handouts from the centre for upgrades and renovations? It's annoying to be part of a country where important decisions are taken mainly for political reasons, thereby subsidizing waste and inefficiency: this is only done b'cos we're living a lie, and have our heads in the sand hoping for economic prosperity while trumpeting senseless ideals like delicate political/economic balancing (so as not to offend the owners of Nigeria shocked), federal character and quota-system. Go figure undecided;

*Do you know that a crtical project like the Onitsha River Port that could have served as a catalyst for socio-economic growth in Onitsha and -by extension- the whole of the South East has only recently been approved, together with the dredging of the River Niger? In saner climes, a vital transportation artery like River Niger would have been put to use ages ago. I remenber how they built a berthing dock (if that's the right term for it smiley) and installed a pathetic looking crane since the early 80's just to hoodwink Ndigbo (for political reasons) that they were finally being considered as being part of the country like other zones had been thus far. That dock and crane stayed there and rotted for the better part of two decades with fuc/kall happening, and you want to tell that was "playing nice"? All the billions got from crude oyel (some records have it at about $800 Billion) since the early 70's, yet there's next to nothing to show for it in the South East (a land that is blessed with said oyel and associated gas as well huh). Much of those gains from oyel can be found in the pockets of some lazy scheming ex-generals and their civilian partners in crime, and may God curse them and their off-spring for the injustice they've been a part of.
You know i've actually thought about this River Niger dredging business, and i firmly believe (going by their past antecedents) that if the River Niger (heading north) terminated at Onitsha, there would be absolutely no talk of dredging it to facilitate river transport up to Onitsha (unless maybe now Jonathan is President). The only reason (call me a cynic if you like) it was considered was for the North to gain access for Baro in Niger State, and any other places they would want to install ports.

*Do you know that it's just recently Onitsha/Asaba is being considered for a second Niger Bridge, since the first one was built by the Colonial Gov't? Even though it's been known for years now that the present bridge is standing on its last legs, and is in imminent danger of collapse at any time. But hey, it's just the Igbos that would die in the event of that happening, so no problem. This is the situation we face in the South East, even as numerous bridges have been constructed in Lagos and other parts of the country over the decades with (you guessed it wink) oyel money.
Obasanjo made a play of coming to Onitsha to launch the construction of the second Bridge in the twilight of his administration. I guess it suddenly dawned on him that he hadn't done anything in and for the South East for the full eight years of his administration. Nice one Baba wink.

*Do you know that Benin-Ore expressway (a major throughfare for Ndigbo) is only just receiving attention by the Jonathan (and maybe Yaradua) regime? After decades of neglect and tens of thousands of lifes lost. This is coupled with thousands of robberies that have taken place due to slow-moving/stuck traffic. And OBJ would tell us he has the best interest of Ndigbo at heart, and that his eight year tenure was a blinding success.

Nigeria played nice indeed. If that's "nice", you can keep it mate.
Thank you very much,they don't see it that way sometimes you have to wonder.........

PoliticsAbia Govt Employs 4,500 Youths To Work At The State’s Environmental Agency by ak47mann(op): 12:42am On Apr 10, 2012
Abia Govt Employs 4,500 Youths

UMUAHIA—ABIA State government has offered jobs to 4,500 youths under its programme on youth empowerment.

Governor Theodore Orji’s Chief Press Secretary, Ugochukwu Emezue, who disclosed this, explained that the number was exclusive of another 1,000 youths empowered by the state oil producing community commission, ASOPADEC.

According to Emezue, a good number of the 4,500 youths will be working in the state’s environmental agency as change agents to ensure that the state was kept clean.

He explained that they would help in ensuring that the people, especially Aba residents, disposed their refuse properly into designated bins to keep the state clean.

He said the governor in the past few months, had donated more than 20 refuse disposal trucks to ASEAPA, the state environmental sanitation agency, to ensure cleanliness of the state and that more of the trucks were sent to Aba.

He said: “ANESPA is doing well. The only thing is that Aba people, the kind of waste they generate is overwhelming and the irony of it is that rather than putting them in the designated dump sites they throw them into the gutters. We can only appeal to them.

“But the governor is planning to mobilize the 4,500 youths that will be given jobs soon to act as agents of change, and help to check the incessant environmental degradation, especially those who throw refuse into the drainages. They will help in the cleanliness of the state”.

How much will it cost IG of police to build more police mini stations all over the country? if na to bury 20billion for him back yard he will do that perfectly,retrain the existing officers recruit more educated patrol officers that respect human right violation.Each state governor should provide communication gadgets and patrol cars each local govt will have over hundred patrol cars,that will be like every few hrs,they move in batches change shifts let say every 3 hrs that is 8 batches in a day that will make policing easier crime will reduce drastically,in any street corner police patrol cars are patrolling and they will have the right for stop and search.

simple thing African leaders will lack focus cool

I have come to realise that GEJ is not likely to solve security issues in the country. I’m not saying that he is not trying but remember that he asked us to learn to live with terrorism a while back. For a nation’s president to utter a statement like that, he must have seen, heard and felt that the menace was and is beyond his comprehension and wisdom as the head. 2015 seems far but when it eventually comes,

this is the result of failed state that they produced, the other day they did some macho-man rescue operation in Sokoto they failed, this is as the result of their failed state product. During the civil war we saw the evil that UK committed against the Biafrans. Very soon UK also will become a failed state! As for the US I don’t know which side they are? they whole thing is just confusing. I don’t blame Jonathan but Northern Leaders should be held accountable.
