Rape In The Bible

Rape is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. Yet few people know that the Bible often condones and even approves of rape. How anyone can get their moral guidance from a book that allows rape escapes me. Perhaps they have been lied to about the Bible and carefully detoured around all the nasty stuff in the Bible.

So grab your Bibles and follow along as I show you all the nasty rapes that your priests and preachers don't want to tell you about. Note that in many places in the Bible there are references to "taking a wife". Don't be fooled into thinking that these were voluntary marriages. This first quote clearly shows that murder and force were used to "take" these wives.



1[b]) Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead (Judges [/b]21:10-24 NLT)



So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.



The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, "How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God's curse."



Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes.



Obviously these women were repeatedly raped. These sick bastards killed and raped an entire town and then wanted more virgins, so they hid beside the road to kidnap and rape some more. How can anyone see this as anything but evil?



2) Murder, rape and pillage of the Midianites (Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)



They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.



Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.



Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.



3) More Murder Rape and Pillage (Deuteronomy 20:10-14)



As you approach a town to attack it, first offer its people terms for peace. If they accept your terms and open the gates to you, then all the people inside will serve you in forced labor. But if they refuse to make peace and prepare to fight, you must attack the town. When the LORD your God hands it over to you, kill every man in the town. But you may keep for yourselves all the women, children, livestock, and other plunder. You may enjoy the spoils of your enemies that the LORD your God has given you.



What kind of God approves of murder, rape, and slavery?



4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)



If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.



What kind of person would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer XX



5) Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)



If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.



It is clear that God doesn't give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans "property".



6) David's Punishment - Polygamy, Rape, Baby Killing, and God's "Forgiveness" (2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB)



Thus says the Lord: 'I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives [plural] while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.'

Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan answered David: "The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die." [The child dies seven days later.]



This has got to be one of the sickest quotes of the Bible. God himself brings the completely innocent rape victims to the rapist. What kind of pathetic loser would do something so evil? And then he kills a child! This is sick, really sick!



7) Rape of Female Captives (Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NAB)



"When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive's garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion."


Once again God approves of forcible rape.

9) Sex Slaves (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)



When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

JEDDAH: The Haj Ministry is investigating complaints presented by a hotel investor against the Nigerian Haj mission regarding its supposed violation of a two-year contract with the hotel for 2014 and 2015, worth SR51 million per year.
The formal complaint stated that the Nigerian mission signed a contract with another hotel for the Haj season, despite knowing that the contract that it had with the former hotel was still valid.
Legal consultant Khaled Ahmed Al-Hamadi, who is representing the hotel investor, said that the Nigerian Haj Mission did not pay his client the agreed sum of SR51 million, despite the clear stipulations of the contract. He further noted that the mission has disregarded repeated calls for them to pay their dues, forcing the hotel to take legal action.

6 Nigerians among crane crash victims
JEDDAH: Six Nigerian pilgrims were among the 111 victims of Friday’s crane crash at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
“We lost six pilgrims — two males and four females,” Uba Mana, a spokesman for the National Haj Commission of Nigeria, told AFP on Monday. “We can’t say this is the final death toll because the situation is still unfolding. We are still visiting the hospitals and mortuaries in search of more casualties from Nigeria,” he said.
Mana said some 58,000 Nigerians were already in the Kingdom for the Haj out of 76,000 expected for this year’s pilgrimage.
“The rest will be airlifted in the coming days,” he said.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday sent “his heartfelt condolences to the families, relations and friends of the Nigerian victims of the crane accident.”
Buhari urged “Nigerians to join him in praying for the quick and full recovery” of the injured.
Meanwhile, according to Thai newspapers, two Thai nationals who could not be located after the crash were found at separate hospitals.
The Thai Haj Affairs Office announced that Tuanya-imah Na-nakhon had suffered leg injuries and Phisa Duangdol was injured in the neck, shoulder and back. Thai Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchanarat offered condolences to the family of Wanida Sadi, 48, the Bangkok resident who died in the tragedy.
Vira said the four Thais injured in the accident were recovering and Kritsayapong Siri, chief of the Religious Affairs Department, was coordinating with agencies to aid them.

King orders special vehicles to help injured pilgrims perform Haj

MAKKAH – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued directives to provide special vehicles to enable pilgrims injured in the crane accident at the Grand Mosque to perform Haj.

This was announced by Dr. Hamad Al-Dhuwailea, deputy minister of health, during his visit to the injured pilgrims in Makkah’s hospitals Saturday.

He said the directives of the King stress that vehicles from the Directorate of Health Affairs ought to be well equipped and provided with well-trained medical teams.

King: SR1m for family of each crane victim

JEDDAH:
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Tuesday ordered that top officials of the Saudi Binladin Group be banned from traveling outside the kingdom after probers pinned the blame partially on the construction company for Friday’s deadly crane crash in Makkah.
A royal court announcement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the king is reviewing the report of the Accident Investigation Committee, which suggested negligence on the part of the Saudi Binladin Group, but concluded that it found an “absence of criminal suspicion.”
The report said “the main reason for the accident is the strong winds while the crane was in a wrong position.”
Some 111 people were killed and 331 injured when the giant crane being used in the expansion project at the Grand Mosque toppled and crashed into a portion of the mataf (circumambulation area) around the holy Kaaba on Sept. 11.
Pending completion of the investigation, all members of the Board of Directors of Binladin Group, as well as Bakr bin Mohammed bin Ladin and senior executives in the group and others connected with the project are banned from leaving the kingdom, said the royal court order.
King Salman also ordered the payment of the following to the families of the victims:
1. SR1,000,000 to the family of each person killed in this accident;
2. SR1,000,000 to each injured whose injury resulted in permanent disability;
3. SR500,000 to each of the other injured.
According to SPA, such payment would not deprive the families of the deceased as well as the injured from the right to claim for private right before the competent judicial authorities.
The king also issued directives to host two family members of the deceased as the king's guests to perform Haj next year.
“The injured who cannot perform Haj this year can perform Hajjnext year as the king's guests. The families of the injured who stay in hospitals for treatment shall be granted visit visas to take care of the injured during the remaining period of Hajj and return back to their country,” the royal court said.

In conclusion: When afflicted, it is vital that we have a “Treatment Plan” in place – but remember that all cure is from Allah. We are merely seeking the means to a cure from Allah. 1) Pray your 5 daily prayers on time – if you cannot be bothered to pray then do not expect shifa to come down 2) Make your daily adhkar especially at fajr and maghrib times 3) Fast on Mondays and Thursdays 4) Eat 7 ajwa dates every morning 5) Have cupping (hijama) once a month – on the top of your shoulders, head and any areas that are affected – you should be able to find a cupping therapist local to you online 6) Make a lot of duaa that Allah cures you 7) Give money in charity seeking to come closer to Allah thereby Place your full trust in
Allah and not in any of the creation 9) No taweez / amulets – destroy these if you have them and repent to Allah 10) No pictures on display in your home e.g. photo frames, paintings etc 11) No music or movies 12) If you are experiencing movements in your stomach when reciting or listening to the recitation – then buy some senna leaves and make tea with them – drink this tea for a week or two 13) If possible, drink a lot of zam zam water and make duaa before you drink it 14) Leave any sin that may stop the shifa from coming down


Insha’Allah, if you do all of the above, placing your trust solely in Allah, seeking His bounty and a cure, then you will be cured. But it is a slow and difficult process. If you are suffering, then you will get worse before you get better. You must be patient. You must persevere. Do not give up. Ultimately, place your full trust in Allah (swt) and know that everything is from Allah and nothing can harm or benefit you without the permission of Allah.

Once you complete this plan, restart this plan. Remember, this is not a like a prescription given by a doctor. The shifa is from Allah alone – therefore restart the plan when you’ve finished it and be patient until Allah sends the cure. Remember, you are reciting Qur’an and even if you don’t feel better immediately, you are getting TEN good deeds per letter of the Qur’an that you recite!

Honey mixed with blackseed oil - This should be recited over

Ruqya Oil - This is olive oil that you spittle into the same way as the water

Ruqya Bath - Recite over water (can be a 1 litre bottle) – fill the bath up with normal tap water and add the water that you have recited on to this water. Throw some lote tree leaves (if available) into the bath. Relax in this water for approx 20 minutes

At the beginning of the week, you need to do the following:
1.Sit down with the water and olive oil open in front of you. Read the following:

(a) al-Faatihah - [b]seven times is best, or three if you wish, because the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah (b) al-Baqarah - once all the way through (c) The last three surahs of the Qur’an - three times each (d) Aayat-ul-Kursi [2:255] – seven times is best, or three if you wish If you are unable to read al-Baqarah, then read whatever is easy for you, or ask someone to read for you if you struggle to read the Qur’an. 2. Blow {as though you are spitting but without spittle}, either at the end of each surah, or after each aayah, or whenever it is easy for you, into the water and the olive oil {You can use smaller bottles and blow in each from time to time, or in all of them after each aayah or each surah, it’s up to you. Perhaps it would be even more beneficial to read 2 litres at a time during the week, to get the most out of the reading}. When you have completed all of the reading, [/b]you are now prepared to begin the programme. How to use:
1.Take two tablespoons of honey and dissolve them in a cup of the water that you have read upon. Add seven seeds of black seed and drink. Do this three times per day.
2.Before sleep, anoint the entire body from head to foot with the olive oil that has been read upon.
3.Upon waking, wash the entire body with water and soap. Then, take half a cup of the water that has been read upon and add it to a bucket or other container. Fill up the bucket with water from the tap and wash the entire body.

***Continue this for three whole days*** On day 4-7:
1.Use olive oil that has been read upon to anoint any areas where pain is found, if any.
2.Take two tablespoons of honey and dissolve them in a cup of the water that you have read upon. Add seven seeds of black seed and drink. Do this three times per day.
What to Expect:
1.On the first day, you will most likely not feel anything.
2.On the second and third day, you may feel very ill. You may feel excessive tiredness, pain all over the body, or in certain places, or aches and pains as though you carried out strenuous exercise.
3.By the fourth day, you may feel completely refreshed, as though you have a lot of energy – with the permission of Allah.
4.The aches and pains will gradually go away, in shaa’ Allah, over the course of the 7 days.

Before beginning:

You need to have the following things ready:
Water {I estimate you’ll need 5-6 litres per person approximately} – ideally Zam Zam, because of the hadeeth “A food that satisfies and a cure from sickness”, and the hadeeth “The water of Zam Zam is for whatever it is drunk for.” If Zam Zam is not available, then rain water should be collected, because Allah said, “And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest” [50:9], and because the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to uncover part of his garment when it rained, and he would say, “It has just come from its Lord.” [Muslim] If rain water is not available, then regular water is fine, but effort should be made to obtain rain water where Zam Zam is not available.

Olive Oil {One whole bottle per person should be enough} – {this should be organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil – in other words, it should be greenish in colour, not yellow like vegetable oil. I recommend organic Palestinian extra virgin olive oil, if you can get it}. This is because Allah describes it as “lit from [the oil of] a blessed tree – the olive” [24:35], and the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Eat olive oil and oil yourselves with it, for it is from a blessed tree.” [at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Maajah - Authentic].

Honey {this should be raw & organic, and of good quality…not supermarket junk! You can get sidr honey, also Manuka honey is well spoken of}. Allah said, “There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.” [16:69] and the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, There is a cure in three substances, a drink of honey…” [al-Bukhari]. The shaykh emphasised that a lot of people make a mistake in that they do not drink the honey, but they eat it, and the hadeeth is clear that the cure is in drinking it diluted in water.

Black Seeds {again this should be organic – the scientific name is Nigella Sativa}. This is because the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “It is a cure from every illness” [Bukhari and Muslim].

JEDDAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Tuesday ordered that top officials of the Saudi Binladin Group be banned from traveling outside the kingdom after probers pinned the blame partially on the construction company for Friday’s deadly crane crash in Makkah.
A royal court announcement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the king is reviewing the report of the Accident Investigation Committee, which suggested negligence on the part of the Saudi Binladin Group, but concluded that it found an “absence of criminal suspicion.”
The report said “the main reason for the accident is the strong winds while the crane was in a wrong position.”
Some 111 people were killed and 331 injured when the giant crane being used in the expansion project at the Grand Mosque toppled and crashed into a portion of the mataf (circumambulation area) around the holy Kaaba on Sept. 11.
Pending completion of the investigation, all members of the Board of Directors of Binladin Group, as well as Bakr bin Mohammed bin Ladin and senior executives in the group and others connected with the project are banned from leaving the kingdom, said the royal court order.
King Salman also ordered the payment of the following to the families of the victims:
1. SR1,000,000 to the family of each person killed in this accident;
2. SR1,000,000 to each injured whose injury resulted in permanent disability;
3. SR500,000 to each of the other injured.
According to SPA, such payment would not deprive the families of the deceased as well as the injured from the right to claim for private right before the competent judicial authorities.
The king also issued directives to host two family members of the deceased as the king's guests to perform Haj next year.
“The injured who cannot perform Haj this year can perform Hajjnext year as the king's guests. The families of the injured who stay in hospitals for treatment shall be granted visit visas to take care of the injured during the remaining period of Hajj and return back to their country,” the royal court said.

There are five main points for the preparation of a Muslim's body for burial; we present briefly the procedure involved in each of them:

I. Body-Washing or "Ghusl"

Washing the deceased's body is obligatory on Muslims; it is a Fard Kifaya, i.e., if some members take the responsibility of doing it the need is fulfilled, but if no one fulfills it then all Muslims will be accountable.

Washing can be carried out in the following way:

•A man's body should be washed by men and a women's by women, but a child's body may be washed by either sex. A husband can wash his wife's body and vice-versa if the need arises.
•Only one person is needed for washing with someone to help and preferably those people who know the deceased.
•Place the body on a high place, e.g., a table or something similar.
•Remove the deceased's clothes (garments) leaving the private parts covered.
•Press the stomach gently and clean whatever comes out.
•For washing, use a piece of cloth or your hands.
•Only clean water may be used; add some scented oils (nonalcoholic) in the final wash. It is preferable to use warm water.
•Perform ablution (wudu) for the body, cleaning the teeth and nose from outside only.
•Wash three times, but if the body needs more cleaning, continue washing five or seven times, but in it must be odd numbers.

Turn the body on its left side and begin washing the right side. Then turn it on its right side to wash the left side. This is done in each wash. The first and the second washes are done with water and soap, while the last one with water and scent.

•Hair should be un-braided, washed and combed, For women it may again be braided in three braids.
•Dry the body with a clean cloth or towel.
•Add some perfume on the head, forehead, nose, hands, knees, eyes, armpits, and place perfumed cotton on the front and rear openings.

II. Wrapping (Kafan)

•The cloth used for wrapping the body must be a clean (preferably white) and should cover the whole body.
•Add some perfume to the kafan (non-alcoholic).
•Do not use silk cloth for men.
•Use three pieces of cloth for men and five for women, (each piece of cloth must cover the entire body.)
•Tie the open cloth at the head and feet, with a piece of cloth (from the same kafan) in such a way that one can differentiate the head from the legs.

III. Prayers (Salat)

•It is better that those praying divide themselves into three rows facing the qibla (Shortest distance to Makkah, Saudi Arabia) with the Imam in front.
•Put the body (or bodies) in front of the Imam.
•The Imam should stand at the head of the body if the deceased is a man and middle of the body if she is a woman.
•If there is more than one body, then they should be put one in front of the other, those of the men nearest to the Imam and those of the women furthest from him.
•Having the appropriate neeyat (intention to perform Burial Prayers) in your heart, raise your hands in the usual manner and say, Allahu Akbar.
•Then fold and hold your hands on your breast in the usual manner, the right hand on the left.
•Read al Fatiha quietly.
•Say Allah Akbar without raising the hands.
•Pray for the Prophet in the same way as you do in tashahud.
•Say Allahu Akbar (do not raise your hands).
•Make du'a for the deceased.
•Say Allabu Akbar (do not raise your hands).
•Make du'a for the Muslims.
•Say Assalaamu 'Alaikum, thus finishing the prayer.

The entire burial prayer is done while one is standing, there are no raks or sujud in it.

Du'a for the deceased may be chosen from any of the prophetic du'as:

IV. Funeral

•In the procession mourners should walk in front or beside the bier. Those who are riding or driving should follow it.
•Silence is recommended.
•It is absolutely forbidden to accompany the body with music or crying.

V. Burial

•The grave should be deep, wide and well made. It is recommended that it consist of two excavations, one inside the other. It is recommended that the smaller one called lahd be dug on the side of the larger one facing the qibla
•It is in this one that the body is put.
•The deceased's body should be laid on the ground with the face toward the qibla, the direction of the Ka'aba.
•While laying it say: Bismillah Wa A'la Milla Rasulallah
•It is not recommended to use a casket unless there is a need for it, e.g., if the soil is very loose or wet. A stone, or bricks or some soil should be put under the deceased's head to raise it up.
•Do not use a pillow or put anything with the deceased inside the grave.
•Cover the lahd with bricks so that they become like a roof for it. Pour three handfuls of soil.
•Fill the larger pit with soil. It is preferable that each one of those present share in this by pouring three handfuls of soil. Raise the level of the grave a little less than one foot in a sloping way.

Muslims in the Nordic region can expect new guidelines for coping with a sun that never sets ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, a Swedish Muslim association has said.


Ramadan begins on June 18th this year -- three days before the longest day of the year -- when the sun blazes around the clock above the Arctic Circle and only sets for a few hours further south, presenting a problem for Muslims who are meant to fast until sunset.

"We've got two difficult questions, not just when you can break the fast in the north but also when you should start fasting," Mohammed Kharraki, a spokesman for Sweden's Islamic Association, told AFP on Thursday.

"You're supposed to start fasting before the sun rises, at dawn. But there is no real dawn in the summer months in Stockholm."

In previous years Muslims in sub-Arctic towns like Kiruna were advised to break their fast at the same time as people in the south but a meeting of Swedish and European imams in northern Sweden this week recommended a new approach.

"Now you should go by the last time the sun clearly set and rose," said Kharraki, adding that detailed guidelines were still being worked out and could also involve breaking the fast in the early evening to be more in line with the rest of the world.

The new rules being drawn up by a pan-European association -- the European Council for Fatwa and Research -- are expected to apply across the continent and will include advice on situations where Muslims can break the fast to avoid collapsing from lack of food and water.

"People can try to fast for 19 hours but not handle it. That's not the idea... If you don't manage to do your work or stay on your feet, then it's time to break the fast," said Kharraki.

Sweden's Muslim population has boomed in recent years as the Nordic nation has welcomed hundreds of thousands of refugees from the Middle East and Africa.

The Nordic nation takes in more asylum seekers per capita than any other EU nation, with more than 80,000 arriving in 2014.

IBN SINA ABU ‘ALI AL-HUSAYN known as Avicenna was Born on August AH 370/AD 980 near Bukhara (capital of the Samanid Empire), in Central Asia, todays Uzbekistan. Avicenna was a Persian polymath and the Arguably the most important physician and Islamic philosopher of his time. One of the most famous exponents, defenders of Muslim universalism and an eminent figure in Islamic learning men. He was also an astronomer, Hafiz, logician, mathematician, physicist, poet, psychologist, chemist, scientist, Sheikh, statesman, theologian and soldier. He belonged to a respectable family, his father Abdullah, was a respected scholar from Balkh, an important town of the Samanid Empire, in what is today Balkh Province, Afghanistan. He was given the responsibility of governing a village in one of the royal estates. His father viewed his sons education and development with great importance. Avicenna’s father hired tutors to teach him the Koran and literature, and sciences in the Persian Samanid dynasty, the intellectual center of Islam. When Avicenna reached the age of thirteen he began his studies in medicine. His progression and intelligence resulted in his independent thought which was served by an extraordinary intelligence and memory. This remarkable ability allowed him to overtake his teachers at the age of fourteen. As he said in his autobiography, there was nothing that he had not learned when he reached eighteen. He turned to medicine at 16, and not only learned medical theory, but also by gratuitous attendance of the sick had, according to his own account, discovered new methods of treatment. The teenager achieved full status as a qualified physician at age of eighteen. The youthful physician’s fame spread quickly, and he treated many patients without asking for payment. His medical expertise brought him to the attention of the Sultan of Bukhara at the time Nuh ibn Mansur, Avicenna had treated him successfully; therefore was provided with the permission to use the sultan’s library and its rare manuscripts, allowing him to continue his research for knowledge.

His most famous works are The Book of Healing, a expansive scientific and philosophical encyclopaedia, and The Canon of Medicine, which was established as a standard medical text at many Islamic and European universities up until the early 19th century. His most important contribution to medical science, was his famous book al-Qanun, known as the “Canon” in the West. This book was an immense encyclopedia of medicine including over a million words, usually like most Arabic books it was richly divided and subdivided. It comprises of the entire medical knowledge available from ancient and Muslim sources. Ibn Sina is regarded as a father of early modern medicine, and clinical pharmacology distinctly for his introduction of the systematic experimentation and quantification into the study of physiology, his discovery of the contagious nature of infectious diseases, the introduction of quarantine to limit the spread of contagious diseases, the introduction of evidence-based medicine, of experimental medicine, clinical trials, randomised controlled trials, efficacy tests, clinical pharmacology, neuropsychiatry, risk factor analysis, and the idea of a syndrome, and the importance of dietetics and the influence of climate and environment on health. He is also considered the father of the fundamental concept of momentum in physics, and regarded as a pioneer of aromatherapy. His ideas were generally accepted alongside his unshakable proofs.
