mysweetsunshine:Hey! I'd also be attending UL Lafayette. I've got piece of info for you. |
ProjectKay:My cousin and I got fully funded offers without deficits. We both chose "self" as the person paying for trip. We both got our visas approved. Two of my friends got full funded offers too without deficits but chose "the University" as their own options. They too got their Visas approved. I don't know if that answers your question. |
My Visa Experience Date: 19-06-19 Time: 06:30 Consulate: Lagos Consular Officer: "The old man" Counter: 1 CO: Pass my your i20 and passport. Me: Morning Sir, I did as requested. CO: Are you going for a straight PhD? Me: I'd be obtaining an MSc along the way. CO: When did you graduate from high school? Me: 2007 CO: What's your Bachelor's degree in? Me: Chemical Engineering. CO seemed concerned, Systems and Chemical. Me: The Systems Engineering program is an interdisciplinary one. I would have a concentration in Petroleum Engineering. CO: Starred at the form i20 and said "I would be approving your Visa". Thanks to everyone who shared their Visa experience. I learned a great deal from those. |

I know so many pple wd av bin wondering y i chose dat title. Here is the key, i imagined kidney disease, diabetes, ulcer, asthma, cancer etc., so i considered wch pple deserve it, the rich or the poor, the believers or non-believers, whites or blacks? so wt causes some pple to contract diseases b4 birth n some odaz during dia stay on earth? I beg u wd agree that God's grace is the key. Grace simply put, there is nothing u can do good enough to get it and there is nothing u can do bad enough not to get it. Be Grateful! |
shaggy007:the list is just inexhaustible. don't you understand that even if you are the richest person on earth, you need people with a proven track record in that field to trust ur company into great heights. |
Thank you all for your contributions |
KAYCEEJUNIOR:I understand your point sir, I think the next step is to take them both to an anointed pastor. Thanks! |

Hello everyone, I was so mad to find out that my sister who isn't in the ivory tower yet is in a convenant. The annoying thing is that this girl is so intelligent and promising. She is still a virgin and claims to really love the guy. I'm of the opinion she breaks the vow, how I don't know. I would appreciate it if we can help us out. I really care about my sister. |
A very warm hello to every prospective NYSC member for batch A 2015. I believe this could be a vital avenue for many of us to be up to date with the happenings of NYSC. All past corpers are welcome to this anticipated thread, to share their experiences with us and give the prospectives of batches A,B,C 2015 a solid perspective of the program. Lastly, latest pieces of info gotten by Nairalanders would be well appreciated as well as suggestions. I wish every Prospect a great service year. Thank you! |
shaggy007:I agree with you to an extent, but everyone can't be an owner, take google chairman Eric Shmidth and google owners Page and Brin will feel the effect. Just so you know, he submitted a CV and He is worth $9.4billion(2003). |
youngprof2n:If you think there is more, i reckon you share with us. Thanks! |
#1: I love it when we spend quality time together: 87 percent of women said they would give up part of their husband’s salary if they could spend more quality time together. Make time for her, guys! #2: I need to feel loved: Actions speak louder than words. Everything from taking out the trash to hugs and kisses assures a wife that her husband cares for her. This should be natural for you because working for those you love is one of your love languages. #3: I also need to hear you say that love me – Everyday: Telling your wife that you love her before, during, or after sex doesn’t count! Make “I love you” part of your daily language to her. #4: I hate that I always have to initiate conversation: Make it a point to talk to your wife about your day and hers. It may be difficult but it’s a part of creating a team. Why is it so tough for men to communicate? A great deal of research has been done of this subject with some interesting results… #5: I love romance: Guys, it’s no good if the only time you are affectionate is when you want sex! We need to hold hands, hug, kiss, etc. on a regular basis or we feel neglected. This is not groping, mind you! This is a soft caress, a warm embrace and kiss on the cheek. A UCLA study found that women need 8-10 meaningful touches every day. In fact, 80% of a woman’s daily need is for nonsexual touching. So keep those XOXO’s coming! #6: I love sex – I just need romance first: A woman needs to have an emotional connection with you in order to have great sex. Men are like microwave ovens and women are like crock pots. So do some slow roasting, boys! #7: I need to be treated like your partner: We are conquering life together. We are a team. We need to be equal in decision making, budgeting, parenting, etc. Don’t make me feel inferior, treat me like your slave or make me parent you like your mother did. I need a husband, not a son. #8: You need you to share your emotions with me: It’s not enough to bring home a paycheck. While that helps keep your wife feeling secure, women need your emotional support, as well. Help out in every way you can from changing diapers and midnight feedings (if you have kids) to equally dividing household chores keeps us united. Please say good-bye to your antiquated ideas of “women’s work” and be willing to help with everything. #9: I need you to listen and not always offer a solution: Women offer sympathy, men offer solutions. This is natural. However, women need men to listen to them and not necessarily give advice. I know it’s hard to nod and be supportive while she goes on about her day, but the fact is, your woman will go to the ends of the earth to love you when you truly listen to her and acknowledge her needs. Nod. Get involved. Look her in the eye. Actively listen to what she says and provide nonverbal feedback. Be truly interested in what she is saying without worrying about what you’re going to say next. Then, watch what happens as your woman opens up more and more to you. #10: I need you to be generous with your money: Don’t be a tightwad! A woman has a deep need for security and your generosity goes a long way in letting her know that you are there to take care of her. Allow the marriage to be a true partnership. This includes the money. source opendoorohio.com |
Most of us find it really difficult to write a good CV. A CV is a brief introduction of the basic pieces of information an employer seeks about a job seeker. the points that are going to be highlighted here are vital points in which anyone that applies them would secure his/her dream job. As graduates many of us think we have graduated with a good grade i.e a 2nd class upper. So we think we would automatically get the job. We must know that a first-class in school does not translate to a first class knowledge about securing a job. Havev't you seen people that were 'smart alecs' in school but don't eventually get their dream jobs? So i guess you asking what the solution is to this nagging problem? Well the solution lies in the tests we do before getting the job. What am i sayin? I mean it starts from the day you heard about the vacancy. The way you write your CV matters. A good CV need not be written based on your discretion but on the standard format. Secondly, you write an aptitude test. Many people think the questions that would be asked can't exceed '1+1 and singular and plural'. They have forgotten thousands of people are coming for the same exam, so the examiner has to step up his game by asking you questions that have to do with how academically sound you are. The third point is the skill test. This is where you are asked questions relating to your field of study. Also you could be asked questions about the nature of the job you are seeking. Google search engine could help with some of this. Lastly, the oral test i.e interview. As simple as it sounds, it could eliminate the interviewee, so i suggest you read books on passing interviews. I wish you all the best. |
for where? Pls don't day dream on dis discourse. Great Ife. |
anyone that hasn't heard about the popular the way O.A.U ungerdraduates, graduates, staff greet one another has definately not passed through/in the university system. 'GREAT IFE'. Those two words depict the greatness on which the school was founded and in the Graduates the school produces, if you disagree with me, prove it. GREAT IFE am proud of you. |
