Oge90:Generally, work experience refers to paid employment, and volunteering may not always meet the criteria. However, if the requirement is related to providing details in gaps of studies and work for Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) purposes then volunteering could be considered as a gap. We enrolled a student who was fresh from university without prior work experience last year, she studied biochemistry in Nigeria and she's currently studying Public Health . It would be best to clarify the specific requirement with the school or seek advice from your agent accordingly. |
Amino5240:To get the land evaluation in your name good but, how you want take explain how you get the land or how you take get the money to buy the land ? |

pretty1986:To practice as a nurse in Australia, one will need to be registered as a registered nurse in Australia. You can find out more about the registration process and requirements via https://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/. While there are significant job opportunities in the nursing sector, it's important to note that it is a highly regulated industry. Compliance with the regulations and meeting the necessary qualifications is imperative for a successful and fulfilling nursing career in Australia. |

humblesifon:In that case, I would suggest that you consider applying for the entire family. This way, your wife will have the opportunity to study while you work and take care of the family. Additionally, it's important to ensure that both of you are proficient in driving and possess valid driver's licenses in Nigeria. Acquiring a driver's license in Australia is a time-consuming process, and many job opportunities here require driving skiills and for you to own a car. Furthermore, as a family, having a car is essential. You will find that the majority of the time you'll need to visit shops for groceries, attend hospital appointments, and take care of various daily tasks. Relying solely on the public transportation system may not be practical for these needs. |
humblesifon:E dey depend on your situation. If you fit show say you go fit dey take care of the whole family throughout the time wey she go dey study for Australia, then apply for the whole family. If no be so, just apply for your wife and pikin. Make I just let you just know, to study for Australia and you get pikin without enough support( you or someone to help take care of pikin or pikin them ) fit dey somehow hard. Except say them don mature well make them fit go school, like five years plus, or you fit afford daycare. No forget say your wife to school fulltime, so most of the time she go dey school , so some body need to be with your child/dren |
Wrap46:It's not feasible for another person to complete the police report or certificate on your behalf because your thumbprint is required. I'm uncertain about the necessity of such a report for a student visa; as far as I know, it's not a mandatory requirement. https://nigeria-can.org.au/ova_dep/police-check-character-certificate/ This might be helpful |
austino2018:This underscores the importance of providing English proficiency scores in your application, as it can spare you the inconvenience of numerous rejected applications and the need to repeatedly clarify your English language skills. For those seeking to study in Australia, I strongly advise completing English proficiency exams and obtaining a commendable grade.

e90:An Australian student visa permits work while pursuing your studies. It is not mandatory for students to purchase a return ticket unless more cost-effective than a one-way flight. The cost of the flight is depends on its availability and your chosen travel date. |
austino2018:While it is technically possible to gain admission without an IELTS score, not having an IELTS score significantly diminishes your prospects of securing admission. This situation often entails increased effort and workload for both you and your representatives(agent). |
OTSAMUEL:Yes it is |
Justice4638:They're absolutely correct; it may be challenging to convince the immigration authorities that you intend to pursue undergraduate studies when you have already completed your undergraduate studies in Nigeria. While it's relatively common for individuals to pursue multiple master's degrees, it is rare and often unconvincing for someone to obtain multiple first-degree qualifications. |
frank2zee:I may not have information about the agency that processed his/her application, but I am certain that you have the option to be a self-sponsored applicant. Typically, for self-sponsorship, you'll need to demonstrate either of the following: 1. A sustainable business or a consistent source of income that will continue to generate funds while you're in Australia. 2. Sufficient combined proof of funds to support your studies and living expenses in Australia for the duration of your studies In the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) assessment, the Department considers several factors to evaluate the authenticity of the applicant's intentions. Some of the key elements they check for include: 1. Whether the account holding the funds is registered in the applicant's name. 2. The relationship of third parties to the applicant and the account holder, such as whether they are relatives. 3. Whether the funds represent a lump sum payment in an account or if there is a history of savings demonstrating the gradual accumulation of the required funds. This analysis extends to the source of third-party "donations" or "loans." 4. The duration for which the money has been held in the account. 5. The location of the account, including whether it is held within Australia or in a country where transferring large sums of money internationally is restricted. 6. If the funds are deposited outside Australia, whether there is evidence indicating that the exchange control regulations of that country allow for the remittance of funds for educational purposes, and, if necessary, whether there is documentation demonstrating the requisite approval. 7. The applicant's age. 8. The unique circumstances of the applicant's family. These considerations collectively help in evaluating the applicant's commitment and sincerity in pursuing their intended studies in Australia. |

Gista01:If you happen to miss classes, catching up can become quite challenging, and there's a higher risk of falling behind academically. I would strongly suggest considering arriving on time and then, if necessary, deferring your admission. Generally, it's advisable to be fully settled in Australia at least 2-3 weeks before your program's start date. Most educational institutions are unlikely to allow enrollment if you miss the first 1-2 weeks, as catching up can be extremely difficult due to the workload. In the Australian education system, assessments begin right from day one, and the completion of previous assessments is often a prerequisite for receiving new ones. This means that if you miss any assignments or assessments early on, it can lead to a significant backlog of work. Additionally, it's essential to consider the logistics of settling down when you arrive, such as arranging accommodation, transportation, insurance, and other essential matters. Trying to manage all of these responsibilities on top of your academic workload can be overwhelming. |
desertboom:The concept of the "best" city is subjective, and what matters most is finding a place that suits your preferences and needs. I have had the opportunity to reside in nearly all major cities in Australia, and I have discovered that Melbourne is more friendly, particularly for individuals of African descent like myself, feels more welcoming and familiar. Aside from Melbourne, I found Queensland to be another location in Australia that holds a special appeal and is easy to integrate. You can survive anywhere in Australia, however these cities are more friendly to Africans in my experience |
afam4life:I won't recommend schools in Perth is you have to work, getting a job in Perth is difficult as a student. The rest are fine so long tuition fee is less than 40k per annum . |
Wrap46:You don't need it but if you need such services, Justice of Peace( JP ) is the equivalent here. |
Ganso:Sorry, I never see your message |
gsalvatore:Hi All, Before you leave for Australia , take some time to read this https://amp-abc-net-au.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/amp.abc.net.au/article/101542354 |
DemmyDD:For shared accommodation, from $150/Week and for private rented property it's from $250/Week deepening on location, type and facilities of the property You can check here https://flatmates.com.au/ |
Islamicpope97:You agent is right, the Immigration websites is generic. The required funds depends on your tuition fees and your circumstances and it's the agent's responsibility to do the calculations |
NICOSIA:Getting accomodation from offshore is extremely difficult . No one wants to do that due to the way Australia works. I would recommend getting a paid hotel for 1 or 2 days and when you arrive I can share your details with friends in Melbourne to help guild you. |
DutanTheThird:Just to clarify, GTE is a requirement for the issuance of CoE and you can only get OSHC when your CoE is out. If you're applying from Nigeria, after an offer of admission , you'll apply for GTE with all requirements specified by the University. If GTE is approved, then you'll pay for tuition and OSHC(Most schools require OSHC before they issue CoE) Thereafter, you'll be issued CoE Then you can apply for visa Then Medical and Biometric Then arrive Australia So simple right ? |
tochi0155:English test is an immigration requirement, again it increases your chances of securing admission as you'll be competing with thousands/millions of students that meets the requirements and have English test. |
Itzpetersv:Not enough reason unfortunately . Your statement should convince anyone that you are a Genuine student and you're mainly coming to Australia to study. |
