hi guys, good afternoon. Are spouse allowed to work full time in Australia
Yes, spouses of visa holders in Australia are generally allowed to work full-time if the main visa holder is allowed full-time(unrestricted work rights). The work rights of spouses depend on the type of visa held by the primary applicant. For example:

Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482): Spouses of primary visa holders are permitted to work full-time without any restrictions.

Student Visa (subclass 500): Spouses of student visa holders can work unlimited hours if the primary applicant is enrolled in a master's degree or higher. However, if the primary applicant is studying at a lower level, such as a bachelor's degree, the spouse's work rights may be limited to 40 hours per fortnight.

Wait. What?. Seems automated. Did you try to contact them?
We initially thought it was a mistake or automated, so we called, and they said they would send a decision record. It has been one week now, and the applicant was supposed to do biometrics today. The flight, hotel, and everything were planned and paid for, but she has returned to school (university) today.

This is the first time we have had such an experience with Australian immigration. It highlights one of the negative aspects of applying for a visa from offshore. If it were here, we could have applied for a tribunal.

We've not been getting grant update here again. Has anyone recieved or know someone who got grant recently?
The most recent student application we submitted received a final decision before the medical and biometric processes, yet we haven't received a decision record to date.

Try G8 universities, you might be successful.
If you face denial in admission, visa, or COE, don't panic; it's not your fault. Australia is currently facing and struggling with a cost of living crisis that's impacting numerous businesses and workers. Consequently, many businesses are refraining from hiring, and a large pool of job seekers are actively seeking employment. I would suggest holding off on applications, closely monitoring the prevailing conditions, and then proceeding with your application when things are better. It's important to note that there has been a Sudden Increase in visa and admission rejections during this period, leading to a reduction in school offers and COE issuances. Stay informed and consider the evolving situation before making further decisions.

If you are in a hurry, consider exploring opportunities in other countries.

Hello everyone, i got a mail from Department of home affairs requesting for further health examination, in this case, do i need to book for another medicals or just walk into IOM for further checks?
You don't have to schedule a new appointment for further medical examination; you can revisit your previous medical appointment center. Based on past experiences, there's typically no need to pay extra fees for this.

Hello Gurus in the house, your advise will be highly appreciated. I started application for Aussie Universities this December, expecting offers any moment. But this new policy just put me off balance. I have Master degree, submitted applications for another Master's program, and also still trying to get Supervisor's approval for PhD, so i can have options to choose from.
However, I am 36, which means I would be ineligible for post study visa. I don't know if i should still go ahead with Australia, hoping that the policy could change favourably before I finish the program. Or I should channel my attention to another Country, though Australia remains my top choice.
The recent changes in the Australian migration landscape should not dissuade you from submitting your application. I want to assure you that opportunities in Australia are boundless, and regardless of your status, you can still make it.

Greetings the big men in the house, please during Medicals capturing there is this question that was asked whether you will want to apply for a permanent visa in the next 6-12months then the next question is if you want to do upfront Medicals too. I said yes to the first one and I realized the mistake when I left the room to proceed with the Medicals and I am just hustling for a student visa. Please hope it won’t come back to affect my Visa chances ?? Scared
It is advisable to maintain consistency when applying for a student visa. Regardless of any potential plans for Permanent Residency (PR) or other long-term goals, it's recommended not to mention them during the student visa application process. The main purpose of obtaining a student visa is to come to Australia for educational purposes and to return to your home country upon completion of studies. Keeping this as your consistent statement aligns with the requirements of the visa application. Based on the information you've provided , it may not significantly impact your current visa application. However, it's crucial to bear in mind and adhere to the primary purpose as stated in your application.

Its happening now ,"The Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa has been capped from 22 December 2023. If you have an application pending you will be able to apply for a repayment of your Visa Application Charge (VAC). As we work through onhand applications you will be sent instructions on how to claim a repayment of your VAC through ImmiAccount."

This is my first encounter with the information that immigration is reimbursing visa fees and requesting applicants to withdraw their applications.

There's no need to feel regretful. Australia frequently updates its policies, but we're still here and people still dey come.

While these policies may not be in effect at the moment, they can be valuable for those who are currently in the planning stages of their relocation.

Good day guys,

I’m quoting my old question with a new development (question)

Deakin University
Masters in Health Economics
Her Bachelors - Medical Physiology
Work experience - Bank (2 years marketing, 2 years risk and compliance)
Salary - N600k

Since my uncle fully sponsoring my wife to be will be weird, how about a situation where he pays her initial deposit from Australia (to show evidence of sponsorship), I have N10m in my account and I can be her part sponsor and my uncle will stand as her other sponsor. I also have a registered business which can add N5m, my personal account for 3 months will have activity of about N50m at least.

My Abuja land - Bought N1m last year,
Her own land in Lag- N4m estimate
My Mother’s land which she can direct to me- N8m.
I have 3 business trucks all worth N15m

- How do we even get a proper valuation for these lands?
- Can all these help with home ties

We have to leave together due to health reasons on her own side and I don’t wanna sell anything.

- What are the odds when we consider all these new information?
In situations like this, seeking advice from an experienced agent is crucial for professional guidance. Unless you have the time to sift through various pieces of advice in forums and piece them together, having a seasoned professional can provide a more comprehensive and tailored approach.

I'll reiterate a key point: Even if you have friends or family in Australia, using them as sponsors, except for a visitor visa, may not be advisable. As a student, your primary purpose is to come to Australia for study with the intent to return to your home country upon completion. Using an Australian resident as a sponsor can raise concerns, particularly regarding immigration history and the financial capacity to support your tuition for the entire duration of the course, which is often three years.

My recommendation is to focus on demonstrating that you have the necessary resources to fund your wife's tuition and other arrangements. Providing solid evidence in this regard significantly increases your chances of a successful visa application compared to relying on sponsorship from someone in Australia.

Permit me to add that your strongest ties are typically rooted in your home country. Emphasizing these ties in your visa application can further strengthen your case and demonstrate a compelling reason to return after completing your studies. This could include family connections, employment opportunities, or any other significant commitments that anchor you to your home country.

Happy Weekend People.

Please I need advise.
I am applying to Central queens university through one of the agency on their site. AMS bridge blue. Initially the agent told me no application fee but they later said the school is requesting for application fee of AUD100. I paid the money to their Dorm acct, For almost 4 weeks now the agency is saying they can't pay for the application fee because I made a cash deposit of 80 dollars into their account, that, they don't accept cash deposit. They requested for dollar card, I submitted the details of the card, that, they will be one to make the payment from the card from their end. This is another one week, nothing has been done. They are telling me the transaction is pending. The money has not been deducted from the card. Their response is so slow, if I don't call to follow up,nothing and I have paid them 150k for registration, non refundable.
On Saturdays they don't pick calls till on Monday morning.
I am worry because I am applying for march intake 2024 and their is no much time left. What should I do?
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. How can we assist you, and what specific help do you need?

My visa was denied today😪

Application date: 20 November 2023
Medicals: 22 November 2023
Biometrics: 23 November 2023
Denied 21 December 2023

Reason for refusal was that I didn't prove the GTE requirement. I submitted my business documents, employment letters, study leave approval and even supported with an advert of a job in Nigeria I would apply for afterwards.

School is University of Western Australia, masters in social work.
I regret to learn about your visa refusal. Please accept my sincere best wishes as you walk through the next steps.

Has anyone previously or currently used BCIE? I was told that they only apply to one University at a time.
Secondly, I was advised not to use myself as a sponsor cos source of income is not solid, rather create a property deed using my parents. Please advise
It's challenging for me to provide specific advice without knowing the details of your circumstances. As an agent myself, I refrain from offering advice that contradicts what another agent has provided to their client. I acknowledge that BCIE is a reputable professional agency, and I would endorse their guidance. Having multiple opinions on matters like these often leads to confusion. Ideally, to self-sponsor for an Australian visa, you should either have a business that will continue to operate while you're in Australia or possess all the necessary resources to sponsor your study in Australia.

I hope that helps ?

Please i see what u are doing and i am very impress with the information dished here.

Concerning the bolded please for someone like myself who isn't based in Nigeria, do i still get my sponsor from Nigeria or my place of current residence.
If you currently have a stable source of income in your current location or can demonstrate sufficient funds to cover your entire study period in Australia, it is advisable to utilize those resources. Permit me to add that you do not need to be physically present in Nigeria to apply for the visa. Most students in Australia, even those who have lived there for years, still reference all documents from their home countries, especially if they are unable to provide proof of funds for visa renewal and other requirements. When applying for a student visa, channeling all financial transactions through your home country can simplify the process of proving ties and meeting other visa requirements.

Bro thanks for your input, I really need to figure out a way to present my case without complications. The deposit into the dom account is from my sibling who lives abroad. I was thinking that would come under a gift deed or do you suggest a fixed investment deposit instead. Should i go ahead to use the dom acct, does it imply that my sibling would have to present statement of acct to show the source of fund. More importantly, in the event that i choose to convert it into an investment certificate, can i present myself as self sponsor when in the real sense the money is coming from my siblings. Thank you as you find time to respond to me. Remain blessed! My regards to everyone sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Ps: Anybody with experience on how to prep POF and detail the source should please message me.

2, Where e come from/how yu take get ham

The money fit dey your account e no matter (yes no dey compulsory say e the money must dey for the sponsor account), then you fit find person for your family or person we dey related to you make way get business or get better work to act as sponsor. Guys, I scored LRWS 5.5,6.0,6.0,7.5 and aggregate of band 6.5 in my IELTs. Can I used this score to apply for Australia student visa. I got admission already for masters.
Thank you
Certainly, you can. Let me clarify the situation for you. The English test primarily serves the purpose of admission and is primarily utilized by the schools. It is not strictly an immigration requirement, except for professions like nursing and other courses that have stringent English language proficiency criteria.

Having admission implies acceptance by the school based on your English score; otherwise, the school would not have accepted you.

Good evening all.I have a dilemma that requires input from experienced persons here.I am in the process of relocating to Australia with my husband and 4 year old daughter to study masters in social work.

The first agent i spoke to said its better i go alone and leave my husband and daughter behind,to come join me 6 months after i arrive ny His grace. We later met another agent that assured us of high chances of getting visa approvals for all three of us.

Another agent advised i leave my husband behind and go with my toddler. My confusion is this,is it actually risky for us all to apply as a family? What course of action is advisable to boost my chances of a visa approval.Pls drop your inputs.
There's no obstacle to applying as a family if you can provide sufficient proof of funds and meet the requirements. I highly recommend applying for all family members. My advice is rooted in my experience as a Travel Consultant and someone who has traveled with a family. Embarking on the journey with your family can significantly simplify your settling process, as you can collaborate and address challenges as a team. Upon arrival in Australia, you'll encounter various challenges related to survival, work, school, visas, etc. Juggling these tasks can be demanding.

Please house is there anyone good that can help me review my SOP?
Crafting a statement of purpose demands considerable time and effort. I'm skeptical that anyone would provide a review for free. Personally, for my students, I opt to outsource this task through platforms like https://www.airtasker.com/au/. These platforms offer access to native English speakers who can skillfully review and compose compelling SOPs. Requesting a free review for something as intricate as an SOP seems unreasonable as it involves extensive effort and thoughtful consideration.

Good day everyone,

Please is there anyone who has successfully attended Torrens university? I’m hearing they’re quite bad and can frustrate you.

Also, any thoughts about Monash University and Federation University?
I can't elaborate much on that issue, except to mention that we applied for admission for one of our students. Unfortunately, they declined to register us as one of their agents in Nigeria. Surprisingly, they proceeded to communicate directly with the students, a behavior we found strange and unprofessional. Apart from that, it's a great school and a path worth considering.

I consistently emphasize that when you're in Nigeria, don't be too selective with schools. The primary challenge is securing a place to study and get your visa; everything else will fall into place afterward.

Please can i send you an email i need clarification about proof of fund. Any body else is free to help. What do you guys thinka depositing proof of funds in a domiciliary account? How can i show in flow and outflow?

Budget for applicant and dependant :
Initial deposit paid
Dom ciliary acct deposit =20000 USd
Inherited Property valuation = 100 million naira
Business Acc inflow 60million naira, balance 5million naira,

Will this be enough house? Urgent answer is required before it gets too late.
There's no point in utilizing a domiciliary account solely for proof of funds; not only does it restrict you, but it also fails to substantiate anything. In certain instances, they may calculate your proof of funds in the local currency and make decisions based on that.

Questions for those who came with their spouse on a dependent student visa

1. Did you travel with the main applicant for the first entry? If No, how long did you wait before you traveled to Australia?
2. Have you traveled outside Australia alone on the dependent visa and what was the duration?

@tunlex01 and others
When it comes to traveling, there isn't a predefined path; it's more about the planning process. I've observed individuals who embarked on journeys together and others who reunited with their families after a certain period. I would suggest tailoring your plans according to your specific circumstances.

hello guys. big ups to everyone making contributions on this thread. I will like to know the possibilities of the following:

1. As a HND holder, can someone apply for a one year diploma into schools in austrailia ( Preferably schools in sydney)

2. Which of the english test will you recommend for such applicant ( PTE or IELTS)

3. Are there other academic route you can advice a HND holder for admission into schools in austrailia.

Kindly note that this applicant is looking for a short duration program.

Thanks
Absolutely, applying for a one-year diploma in Australia is feasible for HND holders. However, when it comes to obtaining a student visa, the study history should be convincing. Going from an HND to a diploma might not sound as convincing to the immigration authorities. For English proficiency tests, both PTE and IELTS are widely accepted and serve the same purpose by assessing language skills.

Regarding alternative academic routes, considering a Graduate Certificate or Diploma might be beneficial. In many cases, these studies are less expensive compared to a full Masters degree while still offering a solid academic foundation.
