I.e we do d multiplication first so we have
3+9-3+3 which is 12-0 coz -3+3=0. so d answer is 12.

What stopped you from introducing d bracket for the addition of d 3s i.e -(3+3) which gives -(6), hence we now have 12-6 giving us 6.
