Toroze: The missus bit got me laughing bruv...for real she did that.....??
Ommo I don't joke with what she says o! For peace, I have to comply. I can sell a part if it covers the cost of the newer component that's the agreement and a man is only as good as his word! I have to stick with it.
heavenstorm: bro am terribly happy to watch the evolution that transmogrify your gaming nomenclative frequency which i eternally dab to....abeg for my own old ogbunigwe which is just a rickety q9650 can i use the 750ti and wont it overclog it? where do i get the most affordable 750ti cos have been dreaming for long to lay my hands on 1!!!! pls answer asap!!! fenks
I didn't realise my words could be 'dabbed' to
The 750Ti won't bottleneck the Q9650. It's still one of the strongest quad cores of its time and with the right motherboard, you can overclock to get more juice out of it. I've used a Q6600 and Q8400 before. What's the rating of your power supply? Does your motherboard have the PCIe slot. What's form factor is your case? If you are unsure, take a picture and post.
I've got a 750Ti for sale in excellent working conditon but that will set you back #46k.
bertoseve: As one of your "students" in this class, i did't just view the videos you uploaded, i downloaded them, reason being that, i'll like to refer to them from time to time in other to understand and explain this build, yes, its a budget build but you selected the components very well thereby having them compliment each other to chun out performances that are well above a budget build's this my friend, is a RIG! .....look,... all of us should be looking to you to build their own!
I can put together rigs for different requirements. The key components required for instance a Media content creation rig, gaming rig, web browsing rig are all different but that what I enjoy doing..knowing the limits of each component makes it easy to carefully choose them to compliment each other.
Joelfinest: My pes 16 lags on my HP 255 G1.. Any help Below are my pc's specs.. Chip type: AMD Radeon graphics HD 7340 graphics. Shared system memory: 561mb Dedicated video memory:384mb Total available graphics memory: 945mb Processor: AMD E2 - 1800(2cpu's) 1.7Ghz
There's nothing you can do about it bro..the CPU runs the operating system and all the processes that go with it on 2 cores, then you come throway game put for the thing head/....take am easy na!
bertoseve: Lolz, AKBliv010 ,what can i say...like the other dude said, p.c build pictures are WOW! ,haven seen this, one would be wondering how is it that you say some of the components are used,...they look new to me! besides the you did a very professional job here, by that i mean the assembly resembles that done by a professional, all the cables are well tucked in(do you have a standard blue print from any brand). you took your time in doing a perfect job. anybody opening this system may be tempted to think its factory supplied or assembled.
Thanks man, really appreciate your feedback. Cable management for me is a must...it's essential when using a windowed case but also aids optimum airflow inside the case and in future makes cleaning out dust easier to manage without wires in the way.
There's no blueprint, every case design is different you have to work around it, using it to it's full potential.
Tayepee: Just gotten myself a UK used Dell and am having problem with it, it works fine at first for three days, now it fail to come on, I mean immediately it's on for 3 seconds it goes off again sometimes it made it to boot menu, any help on this, could it be battery or what's possible problen? Is it an old model type? I need to know? Please help, below is an attached picture. Dell pp36c
Does it happen when plugged-in with the charger or only on battery?
Babysho: True. It all floats up to "It is his money, he can do whatever he wants with it"....
The reason why I made that first comment is like you almost described "because I don't have as much passion for gaming as he does". I can go to the extreme for 'Pringles' whereas the o.p might not.
There were several factors that made me build this
1. i7 CPU - speeds up my Uni work running when Solidworks, Xilinx for FPGA synthesis, Video editing and being on the latest socket will last me for many years. Although I had the i7-4790K before it was more cost efficient to get the new chip and spend less on the motherboard when downscaling from an ATX build to Mini-ITX. A motherboard for the unlocked i7 CPU I owned before cost around 50% more than the latest. The price I sold my i7-4790K covered 86% of the cost of the i7-6700K.
2. GTX1070 - I pay my electricity bills and my whole system now uses 204W max during gaming sessions. Non-gaming 68W compared to 600W gaming/ 132W non-gaming of my previous build. The GPU also speeds up rendering Solidworks 3D objects and video editing much faster using Nvidia's CUDA cores compared with AMD's using OpenCL.
3. I enjoy customising..there's only one of it's kind in the whole world.
4. Desk Space... the small form factor uses less space and is extremely silent.
5. I sell old parts to buy newer parts, saves me money. I've reused most of the parts I already own.
6. This build is future proof for gaming we are already seeing PC gaming requirements slowly creeping up and DX12/Vulkan API's using up to 8 cores when compared to DX11 that uses a maximum of 2 CPU cores. I don't plan to upgrade for a few years, the missus has put a ban on upgrades.
cao: Actually, they can't teabag you, since you die & your body disappears leaving only your primary weapon. Plus, you only see the killcam showing your death, when you're waiting to respawn.
I didn't do too badly in today's session of Titanfall 2 Tech Test, I even got overall first place once and some sweet sweet kills.
You played much better than the first video...I see you buying the game
Build is now complete-ish. Just waiting for a replacement HDD and install the OS etc. I'm running Windows 10 off my own laptop SSD. There's a time-lapsed video of the build in the making but for now I share some photos. I'm currently using the PC as I type. I'm impressed with it's performance for daily tasks it's quick. I'll be doing some gaming benchmarks later and [s]I'll post in the relevant section, gaming on the GTX 960 thread.[/s]
Derrickfresh: ok, is this due to the dedicated video memory?? and will it affect all of them or just some?? also, is there a way to correct it??
That's right. It doesn't have a dedicated gpu. it's referred to as iGPU, integrated GPU. Most laptops don't allow the GPU to be changed. The ones that do usually have a dedicated GPU.
donchan1001hp: Have done 6.33 b4 but didn't upload video I could replicate that now if I was with my game set now but I travelled and can't carry everything along mostly the wheel am not arguing men cause I can't prove a point while chatting can only be done on the race track
6:33.853 with my G29 Wheel 3 seconds faster then my PS4 controller lap time..with room for improvement..
Derrickfresh: hey bro, I didn't hear from you again bout those games, still want to know if they can run on the lappy..... please I await your reply. P.S: I found out it does not have a dedicated video memory
Oh sorry, meant to and it slipped my mind...a game running on a PC and enjoying the experience are two different things. So the games will run but the experience may not be great. You'll have to sacrifice image quality to make it playable.
Androidking: So u guys are busy driving cars beating lap time and u call it fun?
Is it really difficult to respect what other people enjoy doing? You should ask why we think it's fun rather than this somewhat condescending tone I sense.
Or better, keep you opinions to yourself if it not making any meaningful contribution.
Hi peeps, it's been quite a while now. Just been gathering the parts required for this NL Build which is now done and I got a tripod for my camera so I went ahead with a video...pardon the amatuerish look. If you are good at editing video, writing scripts, hit me up on my email blivak010@gmail.com
