Actually UI won't admit an awaiting result candidate only for him to Bleep up in his/her o'levels. Once waec result is fully out, UI would request for a copy of his potential candidate to see if he/she is admittable viz a viz based on performance. So basicaaly now dose who are delay'n the admission list are the waec students using awaiting result cos it won't be a gud idea if for example 7 out of d admitted 30 fail to come up with d required o'level result. In a nutshell the patient dog eat the fatest bone so let's keep our fingers crossed and see how thinz unfold... Baba God noni! 1 Like |

Get it clear guys... UI is not like other uni dat admits quantity instead of quality. Fine statistics shows that only 2,354 students scored above 50% and in real sense UI doesn't admit more than 2,700 (not actual figure) per academic year. All thinz being equal the 2,354 are in but where the probs lies is the departmental population. Medicine and Law for example having more qualified candidates wud spill part of the qualified students to other dept so as to avoid congestion. Only the best wud be retained in such depts and the rest to lesser populated dept like Botany and co but am not saying u wud be given Botany ooo... This is where departmental carrying capacity comes in. In a nutshell once u score above 50% start packing ur bags and ur journey begins @ the Premier University |

Here comes my own question... Pls can i apply for both UTME and DE @ same time cos 'am applying for both now. Already wrote the post utme exam and a bit scared of going DE interview so i won't penalised for applying in two ways. Help pls |

Adextobiloba: wit wat i hearld i guess ui is to admit 5000 candidates and out of d 5000, 2800 will be 4 post graduate, so d remaining 2200 might be 4 direct entry candidates or wat do u tink.nah only 7 students were admitted for elect/elect last year via DE and DE admission is always 10% of the total admission so we might have like 70 students admitted dis year too. |
