If I had to hazard a pick between Christy and Regina, I will go with Regina.
Faster, more aggressive in the tackle and is a better ball distributor. I also like her overall awareness and command of the midfield.
I doubt if she would last with FC Minsk, as I feel she would be poached soon for a better league.

Yes, but looking forward, Patricia is a lot faster than her and would be the first pick at the LB position.
I prefer her at CB, with her height and ability to read the game extremely well.

The weak spots are DM (with Halimat out for a while and Rita Chikwelu not the fastest out there), not sure who can really map into that position well enough.
The perfect trio in the midfield for me would have been Halimat, Rash and Toni. We really need to look for someone who can pick up that mantle, especially, defensively.
Would have liked to see the Benfica SL girl Christy Ucheibe or Regina Otu tryout there.

Onome is predominantly left footed, even though she is ambidextrous and can play as LCB and RCB. For many years when she partnered Osi Ohale, she played as LCB.
If Plumptre is to come in, because the coach might be thinking of grooming her for the LCB (she is much more younger than Onome), she will have to play as LCB, since she is left footed.
The left backs have been Ngozi Ebere, Glory Ogbonna and Patricia George (in chronological order). I believe Patricia George will take over the role once she heals.

Not sure what you're trying to say here, but if Plumptre is to play, then she and Osi Ohale would pair up in the CD, with Onome being on the bench. Plumptre and Onome typically play as LCB, so they are direct subs for each other.

Tony Payne and Alozie are really dangerous. But Oshoala is still out main threat. Oparanozie is back. But I doubt if Plumptre will be at the back together with Zogg. She might go to LB or bench while Onome and Plumptre partner. I think that's a better option.

Please Schemerkhiz, who was our LB during the summer series? I can't recall the person again.

Being a great player in this day and age is really NOT about physical traits, but more of footballing intelligence. That was the concern I had with her.
Hopefully, she will embrace the learnings from her new footballing environment and develop that aspect of her game that was sorely lacking.

She just became a left back for years to come for me. This was all she needed, a team in a quality league to improve her skills. She has the physical traits to be a great player and now she will have the people around her who can get her there. I don't expect glory back in Nigeria anytime soon.

She actually has been outstanding for her team - being named Team captain, recently.
She also had a stint with Arsenal and was invited to the England youth set up.

Payne had already been established before being called up, she'd been doing even better than several players we had on the squad. Alozie, on her part, had been invited to the Houston dash team before to train, play... She was not totally unknown, Houston would never invite an average player in the first place.

Okoronkwo and Zogg are not on the same same level as the aforementioned, but this new girl is a totally different case because she's never played at a decent level, has not been outstanding at those lower levels, either. Either way, let's just see what she brings to the table.

She is listed as 5' 3" - which is the same height as Ordega, even though Adekite has less meat on her bones.
Toni Payne is 5' 4", for comparison purposes.

But her team is one of the 12 teams in the 2021-2022 WSL, the league just below the Super League.
Leicester (Ashleigh Plumptre's team) just got promoted from there to the Super League.
It will be competitive for Watford, which should be good competition for her.

Talking about the new girl, I do not 'fancy' her at all. The girl plays for an obscure team, the level at which she plays is too low, I, therefore, do not expect anything from her. Payne, on the other hand, is head and shoulders above Okobi- that is simply the truth! Infact, if the coach has only the both of them to choose from, he'll readily choose Payne.

Considering Ogbonna has been in the mix for years, while Nicole is a newbie.
If Nicole demonstrates during training and in matches she has what it takes, then Waldrum will have no other choice but to select the better player.
Also, I believe Waldrum's top pick for the LB position might actually be Patricia George and not Ogbonna.

Had Michelle Alozie achieved anything before her performance at the Summer Series? Or even Toni Payne? Or Ijeoma Okonkwo? Or Onyinyechi Zogg? But they sure have proven that they ALL have what it takes to belong in the Squad.
The Austria camp will help establish if Adekite is a fit on the team or not.
Worse case, it should help the Super Falcons have a more competitive substitute bench.

Those were my observations too.
Even at her club Eskilstuna United in Sweden, she was pretty much a bench warmer for most of the season, coming in on occasion for Halimat Ayinde.
To be frank, she seems to have regressed a bit, not being as sharp on the ball and tends to overdo things, dribbling unnecessarily and losing the ball (same with Ordega). Like I said previously, I love the massive influx of other quality ladies in the team. Hopefully, this will provide stiff competition for those who are dinosaurs on the team and those found wanting can be rooted out.

Nigerians need to be aware that the women's game globally has become significantly more competitive and we really need fresh players on the team who are quicker and smarter on the ball, not people who want to 'show' they are big girls by trying to dribble the whole team every time they get the ball (Ordega, Okobi and Oparanozie).

Okobi has lost her touch she doesn't have those splitting pass anymore , she played the wing back way too much and didn't make her progress as an Attacking midfielder , dennerby was benching her for ajibade at 2018 Awcon opener , T payne is far better than okobi atleast on current form

Nicole is one of those versatile defenders that can play on either side of the pitch.
Not to mention she has pace to burn, which is what you want in a full back.
She is young and I think she can grow into becoming a valuable member of the team.
And she is certainly no worse that the two Ogbonnas girls who I have previously commented on...

However, similar argument could be made for Leicester FC women, as they only got promoted into the Super league and would like to be prepared to make a solid start to the season. That's why pre-seasons are so important for teams, as well as their key players.
Anyhow, we are speculating here. Let's see if she shows up in camp.

Ini-Abasi we have seen in the past and frankly, not particularly sure what value she would offer.
Last I saw Ebere Orji play, she wasn't impressive. Hopefully, she has improved, but wouldn't hold my breath.

Thought she was fantastic in AWCON 2016 and was instrumental towards Nigeria defeating Cameroon in the finals by pulling off some fantastic saves. Then all of a sudden, she fell off the radar - not even considered by the Swede Dennerby.
Sad.
I believe she is more technically sound than Oluehi and perhaps, moreso than Nnadozie (even though one has to grant her the benefit of training in France).

We saw how our players struggled against the teams they played in the Summer Series. How then is this young lady going to excel and hold her own against the best teams in the world if she is only a substitute for BK Hacken? Are these young ladies really ready for the SF? Not really sure how this helps the SF?

Daughters of former Supereagle player Peter Ijeh, who's based in Sweden.They're definitely player's for the future, but this player play for one the best Club in Sweden BK Hacken who won the Swedish League and Swedish Cup last season, the training environment for them is very okay especially the eldest one she plays for two clubs currently, full games for Div 2 side Lidkopings FK and as a regular substitute for BK Hacken in the DAMALLSVENSKAN..

I believe BK Hacken doesn't want to release her that's why they sent her to their affiliate Club Lidkopings FK where she gets full game time is the Elitettan and then come over and play for BK Hacken as Substitute regularly. It's good for her development though but this to and fro of a thing Sha..

We've had a chance to judge her closely over the past 10+ years that she has been in the Super Falcons. Isn't that more than enough time to know what she can or cannot do?

What most don't understand is its really not just what she brings onto the field, but also what she brings off the field.
Over the past 2 years, we have had a taste of her leadership skills. It is crystal clear she lacks the guile and temperament to be a 'leader' on this team. She has demonstrated how tactless she is, by going off the rails with unrealistic demands (equal pay for women - something the US women's team has unsuccessfully been fighting for years), as well as making ridiculous statements and disparaging the NFF leadership.
The team has been a lot more stable in her absence and now, you want her back? Good luck to you all!

You know, sometimes, national team football can be tricky, and as such you never can tell what she can bring after a period of absence. Besides, she's got a lot of players to compete against, unlike before when she had no challenge ; Now, it's either she sits up or she leaves!

When last did you see her play on the international stage? And yes, I have been watching her performances for club and country, a whole lot!
Her performance in AWCON 2018 was nothing to write home about either. Even worse was her 2019 WWC performance.
Its strange that most people haven't noticed her steady decline in performance over the past 4-5 years.
She has little or no pace, slows down our attack and her production rate in front of goal has been mediocre.
Her highest goals output at the AWCON was in 2014 with 5 goals, which was 7 years ago. Since then, her productivity has declined - 2016 (3), 2018 (2).
She has been in Nigeria's WC team since 2010, playing in the 2011, 2015 and 2019 squads, logging in an astonishing 'goose egg' number of goals (for someone who was supposed to be Nigeria's main striker). Its obvious she is grossly overrated, as she can't perform on the big stage.
I beg, let the woman be.

Is not just about Scoring goals even though that's the no.1 job of a Center Forward..

Her total contribution to the team attack matters a lot eg on and off the ball movements, assist, abilities to hold on to the ball till her teammates gets into position etc..

A waste of space, if there ever was one.
This lady's performance during the last world cup was beyond poor.
Her club record and performance at Dijon has also been poor - 18 games, 4 goals as a striker.
The team needs to be refreshed with younger talent for the future, and not recycling spent players who are at the trough of their careers like Oparanozie.
