Chai, teacher dey suffer for this kontri oooo (most especially private schools registered under proprietor association 😂). 2015 after my NYSC, I wrote an application to one private school in my area, the proprietress was telling me to teach Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry (which as a fresh graduate then, I can still take) but upon discussing about salary, she was offering 10k, which I rejected. I asked her "are you subsidising school fees for all your student or is the school free for all your students"?. I later realised, each student in SS1 alone is paying more than 30k then. And she want to pay a stipend to teachers. Cr*zy proprietor.


Na so I decided to burn my CV and learn a baking skill. Today, baking pays all my bills.

I applied for Turkish student visa but my application was not positively evaluated according to the white paper which they stated that I can re-apply after 6months, though I will apply for refund of my school fees. Now I want to ask, can I apply for a tourist visa or I should wait after 6months? Please an urgent answer will be appreciated. thanks

I will advise you wait after 6 months. Even if you want to apply after 6 months, still use student route. Turkiye embassy keeps record of applicant, if you try to use tourist route, they may still deny your application (I'm talking from experience, it happens to one of my client).
If I may advise you, instead of coming to Turkey, why not try another developed country.

My application experience at Voya visa Abuja
I submitted my application today 22nd September 2023.
I went on Voya visa website to get an appointment.
Then from the checklist, I gathered all necessary documents.
* they claim appointment is from 9am to 2pm but at 11:30am, they stopped letting people into the premises. Only those already inside will be attended to.
* Please ensure your bank statement was printed a day before your appointment. I was sent back to bank because mine was about a week earlier.
* you can do flight and hotel reservations there. I paid 3,000 naira just for flight reservation.
* printing is expensive there at 500 a page so pls bring everything you need including the appointment confirmation page
* total I paid was $205 and it’s paid in cash there. Ensure the dollars notes is from year 2013 and above. I had a 100 dollar note from 2009 and they rejected it. Had to pay 3,000 to change the dollar to a recent one outside there. They said 5k so I bargained down to 3k.
* the process took me about 2hrs plus ups and downs. The form is easy and just a page.

I will update timeline when and if my visa gets granted. I applied for single entry tourist visa.

Though,graduating with a lower class of degree might be unseriousness during your school days, but that's not the end of the world. True life story about myself. I graduated from University of Ilorin, Kwara State in 2014. During my school days, I was not serious with my academics, because I do part-time job not because I didn't have a sponsorer that is paying my school fees and taking care of the other bills, but because I want to know how LABOUR MARKET is before entering into it fully. This led to my failure in school (I graduated with a third class). My dad (sponsorer) felt so bad on seeing my result, but i didnt allow that to weigh me down. I quickly join a bakery (though it's ours) to learn how to bake bread. Thank God I took the advantage of learning how to bake, today, baking gives me nothing less than FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND NAIRA per month. Presently, I have four bakery in my name in different location.
Note: God does not look at school qualification, for him to bless. Biblically, He (God) said, I will have mercy in whom I will have mercy. Don't allow your school qualification to weigh you down. Get a professional course and pray for God's blessing. He will definitely surprise you... God bless

i will advice to go to European countries or Australia. Turkey is not adviseable for study. Though, they have educational facilities, but there medium of studying is Turkish, except you pay more money for english classes in your dept

I am currently in Turkey. Life in Turkey is not as easy as what people think it is. Though, I don't expect things to be better at start. A new born baby can't walk in a day. How will you enter a foreign land and expect to achieve something big within 6 months. Success ladder is a step.
My fellow Nigerians, coming to Turkey is like having an exposure to life. Truly, there is no job for foreigners in Turkey except SHABUSHABU (hard labour work) which they pay minimum of 1700TL (309USD) and hotel jobs which is outside Istanbul where they pay minimum of 2000TL (364USD). Except these two jobs, we have teaching jobs which they pay 2500TL - 6000TL (455USD - 1000USD) depend on the school you are teaching. But teaching jobs is for few foreigners.
MY ADVISE FOR NIGERIANS WHO WISH TO COME TO TURKEY: Turkey is not a place to relax, but a walkway to other countries... Even Germany are sidelining foreigners for jobs. No work in so many develop country EXCEPT you apply your brain (I DO NOT MEAN FRAUD). Coming to Turkey will only expose you to many world but won't enrich your pocket EXCEPT you divert to FRAUD way. Even the so-called PICKING jobs which is not a legal job here in Turkey is free for whoever wish to join the league. This is the only surviving way for foreigners in Istanbul.
For those who want to come to Turkey, if this is the only way to travel abroad, I will advise you to utilize it, you will gain a lot when you come. Don't reason money at start. We have so many people here in Istanbul that makes 300 EURO per day in Aksaray and Mecidiyekoy. DO NOT ALLOW ANYBODY TO DISCOURAGE YOU, FOLLOW YOUR MIND, AND YOU WILL SUCCEED ANYWHERE YOU MEET YOURSELF. AMEN

I don't really know the kind of bread u want to do. If it is to be the normal agege bread you can start with 600k or even less. Ask me how? You don't need to buy all the equipment for start. You just have to rent a bakery and join association, then you start. With 600k, you are good to go. But there is disadvantage in it. The only disadvantage is that you will pay the owner of the bakery per bag of flour you bake... I have done it and it work for me. Now I have my own bakery...

From my own perspective, I believe it is those who didn't believe in giving, talks shabbishly. I invested in tithe and the Lord is blessing me in multifold... Hmm! starting a bakery is a nice idea. I have one in Ogun State. Here in Ogun state we pay bakers #800 per bag. That is, they are paid base on daily work. But if the business is moving on fine, u increase their wages. Like here in my bakery, I do pay my baker #1500 per bag. And we are baking like 7-8 bags of flour in a day. Now to start, you calculate your cost of production, I.e the amount of the following used to bake bread such as, flour, sugar, EDC, yeast, Flavour (not necessary), nylon, diesel, bakery maintenance, Wood( if it is mud or convertible), vehicle, workers wages, and so on. After calculating all this, it should be around #17000-#19000. And you will will use one bag of flour to produce bread of #23000... For more enlightenment, Whatsapp me on 08037526966...
