lols. . the points u need are for DIBP for migration. u getting a positive assessment from EA gives you 15 points, that means u v 45 more points to get to mk up for the 60 points. the 45 points cn be gotten from ur age, ur english test, and work experience. you need to check the point breakdown ,am sure if u check on older posts u wld see the points breakdown diggy4real: Bro....u are harsh..... I have EA's brochure.....I have read thru it.....I only saw Ielts(general and academic)and toefl .....as a requirement. Buh.....I know one needs 60point minimum for migration..... Buh what I don't knw is if is DIPB's requirement or EA's requirement.....dats all....anyway...preparing for IELtS speaking now.....would get back to this when am back. |

Thanks buddy jukeblam: Forms 80 and 1221 fall under 'Character Evidence' section, I believe. Also it's advisable to just upload them right away vs waiting if/when your CO would request for and by this, get a direct grant. |

its almost certain u wont b able to pay online. when i did mine, i called UKEAS opebi if i could make payment through them, n i was told they dont arrange or receive payment for the exam that they only provide facilities for the exam. I then contacted a PTE representative who told me i can get a voucher thru them and i actually paid above the stipulated amount of N38,640 on the website.. chuckdee13: Ok thx a lot for the info. I'll do just that...though I'm in ph. I'll contact the center here if online payment fails. |

did mine too at ukeas opebi,i was actually the only one there dt day,so there was no distractions from any candidate which could arise while doing the speaking. also like u mentioned earlier, while doing the speaking, neva pause for more than 3 seconds, even if u run short of words, just fill up that time gap by saying "em,em,em,uh",until u can come up with words quickly.. jukeblam: 'Once again', thanks!
I hope bellong's explanation suffices. Cheers!
Spoke with my normal Nigerian accent oo. Exam venue was UKEAS Opebi- if it would help; the setup was quite ok with minimal noise distractions. |

hmm, interesting.it seems its how many high points one can garner.let me ask,at present am on 65 points without claiming points for work experience, and am waiting till july before i can expect to be invited. by june, i wld be three years on my present job,so that means i can then claim work experience and 5 points, which would add up to 70 points,ur opinion on this Sirs.. scrollmeout: That response was for him and him alone. EOIs are ranked according to scores. This means someone with 65 points will be invited before another with 60 points. Different occupations have their own cutoff points. For someone who nominated accounting, 60 points will not be sufficient to get a nomination in 7 months because it is already pro-rata. Most people gave scores above 60. I merely stated that he is likely to be invited BEFORE November when he will drop from 65 points to 60 points. It doesn't mean he will be invited in November |

thanks buddy, what if i dont accept the invite for 190, can i still expect to be invited for 189 by july? OmogeNG: States can sponsor you at any time, as long as their quota hasn't been exhausted. 190 visas are not subject to occupation ceilings.
189 is better, as it allows you live anywhere from the get go. 190 requires a 2yr committment.
No implications from choosing both. Just that if 190 invites you first, your skill select will be locked and unavailable for 189. |

U choose the first option of $650AUD tax exclusive.if u wish to do the fast track ,u pay extra $250AUD Kevinoh: Hello dear e-family,
Please for our Engineers in the house who have done their assessments with Engineers Australia, which of these payment options (between the first and second) did you choose? I'm a bit confused, does EA assess work experience? I've got 3+ yrs work experience and I read somewhere on the other thread that years of experience are being reduced to make up for the assessment. Does EA also do this reduction thing?
Sorry for my plenty questions guys, I just don't want to make any mistakes. |

Good day to the house. Thanks for the help so far. I submitted EOI recently , but I noticed the occupation ceiling for engineering technologist is closed until July, which means I cnt b invited for visa application till den.however I learnt from someone that I can add 190subclass visa in my EOI alongside the 189 which is my preferred visa type. The person said the 190 is state nominated ,that even though the ceiling for the occupation is closed ,that state can nominate nonetheless instead of waiting till July. My question is that, does choosing both 189 and 190 v any implications. And which of the two subclass is much advisable. @bellong and oda dons in the house, ur advice is needed. Thanks buddies. |

scrollmeout: Big Congratulations Akinnawou on your PTE score and your outcome. That was a wonderful score! You get 20 points. First and foremost, one good thing about your outcome is your education is assessed as equivalent to Bachelors degree under the AQF so you are entitled to 15 points. Secondly, you cannot use this outcome letter to apply as a Professional Engineer, rather, you can apply as an Engineering Technologist Anzsco code 233914 on the SOL. With regard to your age, you get 30 points until November 2016. Since you have 65 points in your kitty, you will most likely get invited before November. When filling your EOI your points will be calculated for you. The sooner you apply the better. Congrats again. I'm glad I could be of help.
am greatful @scrollmeout wld defo reach out to you on further process |

First and foremost, I want to commend bellong for puting up a master piece in the intro to this new thread, it was very informative.have been a silent observer on this thread for a while now,I want to thank @scrollmeout @NNBB2012 @chukdee @Manmeta They have been of great support to me in my PR paroles. I lodger my application to EA on the 11th of April this year, and the outcome came in early today 21st April 2016 I did the fast track one.I applied as a professional Engineer, but in the outcome letter, they said my qualification is equivalent to Engineering Technologist. And that my degree is equivalent to Australia Qualification Framework as bachelors degree. I want to know if this qualifies me to v the 15points.
I wrote IELTS last year, I had above the 6.0 band score but my score didn't fetch me points.however I did PTE jst last month on the 16th of match, result came out early the following day,17th march. Listening 81 Reading 90 Speaking 84 Writing 80 As it is now, my total points accumulated English test -20 points Age-32----- 25 or 30 points,by end of November I wld b a year older, I really don't know which point to pick 25 or 30 Bachelors degree(elect/ elect engineering with telecommunications option--------- 15 Total points= 60 or 65 depending on age point I want the dons in the house to clarify on the engineering technologist thing. Thanks house.. |
