Just40:No, honestly, nobody dragged Ghana here. You are the ones trying to force yourselves into a conversation that has nothing to do with you. The name Ghana is not even in the title of the thread. Instead of relaxing in your little irrelevant corner and observe heavyweights going at it you are busy trying to fix your irrelevant country here. Shame on you midgets! |
vaxx:Let me let you in on a little secret. If you find that you are the one hyping yourself and give yourself praises, its probably becuse you aren't that much for others to notice. If Ghana was really as good as Ghanaians try to paint it, foreigners would already be the first to point it out. We never see foreigners hyping Ghana for development. All we see is Ghana hyped for democracy and black american back to the roots. Fyi the black Americans return to Ghana because of the same social media you say shouldn't be used as a yardstick. Nairobi and Kenya gets praised by foreigners rightfully because of development but not democracy. Its because third parties can judge better a country's development than yourself. Even black Americans who have lived in Ghana for years when they land in Nairobi they completely change their minds. So lets learn to accept what we have and work on what we dont. Ghana has democracy but dont try too hard to paint yourself as more developed than those who are way above your league like Nairobi. You just come out as petty as vindictive. You won't see Kenyans hyping their warped democracy but without even hyping their development foreigners do it. |
The past few days since the Nigerian cultist committed the gruesome murder have been tough for Nigerians.
|
theenchanter:Why would you go to such lengths to defend such vile criminality? The killer was one, a Nigerian national. The other two are suspected to be accomplices but were never at the crime scene. The Nigerian national was captured pants down trying to leave the country for Abuja after committing the gruesome murder. |

Taliban Responds to Kenya in Ksh 68 Billion Trade War with Pakistanis addicted to Kenyan tea Taliban authorities have dissociated themselves from billions worth of black tea being smuggled to Pakistan through Afghanistan. Pakistan publication The Nation, reporting from Islamabad, stated that Afghan authorities shrugged off accusations from Kenya that the country was benefiting from black tea. This was despite a 159 per cent spike in smuggled Kenyan black tea to Afghanistan during the fiscal year 2022-23. Afghan authorities told their Kenyan counterparts that the use of black tea in their country was negligible and attributed the imports to Pakistan businessmen under the guise of Afghanistan Transit Trade (ATT). Kenya is incurring losses due to rogue traders smuggling tea to Pakistan through Afghanistan. In the 2021/2022 Financial Year, Kenya exported tea worth Ksh99 billion, but the amount dropped to Ksh88 billion in the subsequent year. While the demand for Kenyan tea has not wavered in Pakistan, more people are buying the smuggled product. According to PBS, a cup of tea in Pakistan was costing Ksh7 in 2012 but rose exponentially to Ksh23 in 2023. With the minimum wage in the country pegged at Ksh7100, Dawn was worried that citizens were spending up to 30 per cent of their salary on tea. “The imported tea from Kenya is blended to create each brand's distinctive taste and strength. The rest is all marketing,” the paper wrote. Pakistan imports tea worth Ksh68 billion annually; according to Dawn, this was not sustainable for the country. “If the entire country forwent drinking tea from Kenya for two years, the amount saved would be roughly equal to the last tranche of the International Monetary Fund loan that the country is desperately trying for,” the newspaper pointed the need for the country to cut down its caffeine addiction. This was after the Pakistan government classified tea as an essential import commodity and the Pakistan Central Bank approved the use of US dollars as the transaction currency in the tea business. Pakistan imports over 45 per cent of Kenyan Tea, making it Kenya’s largest trade partner in the tea sector. |
Nigeria- This video captured President Bola Tinubu's convoy passing through a market on Lagos Island, eliciting mixed reactions from residents and traders. On December 29, 2023, Tinubu, during his December holiday visit, passed through the popular Idumota market on Lagos Island. Residents and traders expressed their frustrations and dissatisfaction, shouting in Yoruba “Ebi npa wa o” meaning “We are hungry,” as his convoy drove by. This response was notably different from the usual energetic displays and excitement that presidential convoys often receive. The video, which surfaced on social media on December 30, 2023, showed President Tinubu's convoy navigating through the bustling lanes of the market. The convoy was described as comprising over 120 vehicles, including exotic SUVs like Range Rovers and Toyota Land Cruisers, as well as pickup trucks, ambulances, sedans, mini buses, and BRT buses. The convoy primarily consisted of VIPs, party members, and supporters, reflecting a significant show of opulence. However, the public's reaction highlighted their concerns about economic hardships and policy impacts under President Tinubu's administration, especially the end of the fuel subsidy regime and the resultant spiraling inflation and food price hikes |
Away from the usual dixk measuring some food for thought. What if the Bantu expansion had not occurred as it did, leading to the spread of Bantu people across much of Africa? Africa would have been another Australia, another North America. Assuming the course of European history unravelled as we know it, the continent would have became another Atlanticist entity. God made the African Bantu speakers and their West/Central African siblings a naturally strong, dominant race. They were resistant to the old-world plagues that European settlers introduced around the world. In fact, it is this natural tenacity that led to their tragic mass-enslavement throughout the Americas and Asia. In contrast, people like the Hadza, the Khoi-Khoi or the San, who were in Africa before Bantus came to be, were bands of hunter-gatherers who would have been wiped out easily after colonization. They were no different to Australian or Tasmanian Aboriginals. Tasmanian Aboriginals are already wiped out due to European presence-not a single soul survived. If you fail to imagine how this would have happened, just take a look into South Africa's history. Boers (Dutch colonialists), upon their arrival in the Cape of good hope, did not immediately start colonizing the Bantu-dominated east. Instead, they chose to steal land from the Khoi-Khoi- who were severely depopulated at the wake of an European smallpox epidemic. The remaining Khoi tried to resist, but their social organization was irredeemably shattered due to contact with Europeans. They eventually became slaves to the Dutch on their own land i.e. were made to farm those lands. Others served the Boers in various other ways. One among these was Sarah Bartman. Many Khoi-San mixed with the Europeans and created the “coloured" community. Meanwhile, others fled and assimilated into neighbouring Bantu tribes like Xhosa and Tswana. Few fled to Namibia to join their remaining brethren - only to be crushed by the Germans. If you try to study the modern history of the Khoi, you may notice that what happened to them is basically the same thing that happened to American Indians in North and South America. I think the only difference between the two stories lies in the nitty-gritty details. The descendants of Khoi herders in Western Cape are a severely endangered race today. Only certain thousands of pure-blood Khoi remain. |

Constructive criticism among Africans should be encouraged. Does it have to be a fight? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQiSohpUHkA |
Kazikazi:Just say you can't understand English. |
Kazikazi:Your country is a joke citizens cant afford to buy houses. Look at this estate that is empty after years. In Kenya such an estate would have been fully bought in weeks. Its only 10m. The american guys is just giving his honest opinion after staying in dar for weeks and getting his shoes filled with dirt all the time. You have no widespread development in tanzania instead everywhere is uniformly undeveloped. Kenya has countless areas with truly european/american level of development...mostly the surburbs of major cities are western level. The foreigners are just being honest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRJxS74RPjU |
Kazikazi:Why comparing a stadium built in the 80s to one built in the 2000s? Even foreigners know Tanzania is 30 years behind Kenya. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZIBt0xO1ZA

Kazikazi:Its always crucial to ensure that what you say aligns with reality. It will disabuse you of the cognitive dissonance that arises once what you believe to be true is actually not the case. This is research done by Ethiopians. Country-specific analysis shows that about 60% of the surveyed farm households in Ethiopia were food-secure, while 11% and 22% of the households were mildly food-insecure and moderately food-insecure, respectively. Of the Kenyan households, 50% were food-secure, while 12% and 30% were mildly food-insecure and moderately food-insecure, respectively. In Tanzania, 48% of the farm households were food-secure, while 22% and 24% were mildly food-insecure and moderately food-insecure, respectively. These results indicate that there is a slight variation in the prevalence rates of farm household food insecurity across countries in the East African region. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2212096321000620 Kenya is actually more food secure than Tanzania because of two reasons 1. cash transfer programs to the most vulnerable and 2. majority of kenyans living in central and western highlands. Despite this>>> The country-specific results show that Kenya recorded more frequent droughts in the last three years than Ethiopia and Tanzania. Kenya’s Hunger Safety Net Programme, an unconditional cash transfer programme, boosted beneficiaries’ food consumption relative to controls and increased dietary diversity for poorer households in the project Tanzania has some of the highest levels of malnutrition among African countries. Approximately 42% of children under five suffer from malnutrition and stunting This last point actually explains why most of you Tanzanians struggle to understand very basic concepts. You never got the nutrition to power robust brains capable of normal human-level intellect. https://www.intechopen.com/chapters/74388 |
GeneralDae:Its part of sovereignty to be able to print your currency needs locally. |
Kazikazi:Not surprised you are mourning. Definitely you heard them say your currency is worthless. Six or seven other nations including South Sudan, Tanzania and Mauritania are said to print theirs in Germany, while most French-speaking African countries are known to print their money with France's central bank and with the French printing company Oberthur Fiduciaire. Meanwhile see 🙈 🙈 this link https://www.delarue.com/about/locations/middle-east-and-africa Nairobi is not your mate, neither is Kenya. We cant compete with people whose reasoning beggars belief.

Fools with internet |
grandstar:Is broadband internet limited in Nigeria? That would be the opposite to Kenya where all broadband internet is unlimited hence why your friend mentioned that. Once you pay its done and you dont even need to ever stop streaming. You can stream videos for a whole month or even six months nonstop 24/7 at no additional costs. What matters is the speed, which determines the package cost. |
majekdom2:Thanks for visiting. Mojawifi is known as the people's internet, or commonly as moja spots. They are littered everywhere. In case youre in a location without Moja internet you simply go to this site to see where the closest spot is. http://www.mojawifi.com/ |
