Just so we are all clear on this issue, I have no affiliation whatsoever with the organization called Preparation for Life (PFL). I only made use of their services and found it satisfactory as I got the re[b]sult I desired.

I deemed it fit to advice anyone who is willing to heed about the benefits of using them not because of any personal gains but as a gesture as I am empathetic towards the plight of prospective Visa applicants as a right thinking human being.

I would not want to engage in a debate as to whether or not the agencies are useful as that would not be productive. As I stated earlier I do not know anyone personally so I am not obliged to suggest to you.

If you read my original post thoroughly you will notice that I never mentioned that the Agencies guarantee you Visas; they only guide you by ensuring that you have all the requirements and proper documentation to enable you have a successful application.

To answer your question about PFL's charges, its N30,000 if they are covering your Visa application only. They also source admissions for prospective students; this attracts other fees which I am not certain about as I didn’t require their services for that.

I want to believe it's a suggestion which anybody can buy to especially @ dis rush hour but as much as I agree with all u said, 1 thing that's key on this forum is encouraging people to learn and be confident to package their applications on their own, I can categorically say that we've recorded 97% success rate.
@ jtx3001-- I want you to know 1 fact that these agents are registered with BHC which is not free (it comes @ a price) thus the preference awarded to them

@ datruguy, as u've said, you are taking a good step by not rushing into things, the best bet is to have the whole amount in your account & put in 4 a fresh application (JAN ADMISSION). I'm not too sure as rgds the time to file in your application but i do believe the gurus on d thread can help out. I wish u all the best man

@ everybody, we don't need to accuse each other, the purpose of this thread is to guide ourselves towards making a good application to the embassy inorder to get the desired result. I've been a beneficiary of this and so many other pple on this thread can testify in 1 way or the other. I do believe there is no 1 way of making application to the embassy, pple have tried diff ways and get almost same result i.e. the issue of closing balance on GTB statement of account, my brother printed his application without making any withdrawal or payment as rgds closing balance and he was issued VISA stress free (though won't recommend it for others u are yet to submit their application), we just need to back our applications with prayers and continue to give guidance to others who are somehow confused as we deem fit.

I sent them a mail yesterday and just received a reply stating;

"Dear Sir

Your application has been fully assessed and it will be returned to the application centre by Tuesday next week.

Thank you and regards"

You can book one way ticket, some pple book for a year return. You can still change your ticket though u will be charged administrative fee.

@ Justwise & all--- kindly confirm to me if somebody with a student VISA can buy a one way ticket for his trip or not.

This waitin period is killin me, but my trust in GOD dey sha! Nywaz, have a question-after readin thru your posts on pgs 25 - 27, wana kno if your broda submitted your bank statement along with urs so as 2 prove the source of the money within his acct. Askin this because i added that of my mum (and mine since the money is in my acct!) wen applyin 4 mine on the 11th, along with my birth certificate and a SPONSOR LETTER. As for my brother, he only submitted his personal account statement, as rgds all the documents u posted, u don't have anything to fear, God will do it.
By the way, i failed to tell everybody that all my brother's certificates including birth certificate were all laminated

NO, he did it all by himself with my guidance after learning from the gurus on this thread. His course is a yr course, the visa will expire JAN 2012

These are the documents my brother submitted: University certificate (no transcript), WAEC certificate, statement of account from GTB (deposited money on 5th July, printed it out on 2nd AUG) with a back up letter from the bank (he didn't credit nor debit the account b4 printing the statement), a copy of CAS statement & a strong personal statement.

Update: my brother got his entry level clearance today @ 3:55PM after 17 working days

My broda that submitted his application on 3rd Aug, 2010 just got an alert to come pick his passport. Pls do pray along with me, he's on his way to Oregun for the pick up, I'll give u update within the hour

I'll advise you check up the prices @ SAMSUNG outlets first b4 shipping it in. The prices are somehow lower than what u quoted. Just a hint

I don't think there is a problem, my brother submitted his on 3RD of AUG, he has not heard from them. i feel ur anxiety but take it cool, it shall be well.

Hi all.

My school stated in the offer letter they gave me that I'm entitled to a 5% discount if I pay my fee in full prior to the start of my course. So, I paid 95% of the fee but when I got CAS, it was stated that I paid £9025 and wrote full fee as £9500. They later sent a mail and said I'm entitled to the discount. The problem now is: what do I write on the application form where they asked how much me fee is and how much is outstanding cos from the mail they sent to me from the school, they said I've paid my tuition in full.

From your mail above, i believe u've paid fully the tuition fee, all you need do is to attach mail from school to your application. You can as well stress this fact on the space given for additional information on the application form. I wish u all the best

Hello people, I submitted my application at VFS Global Abuja yesterday and got a text this morning that the application has been forwarded to the British High Commission for processing. Special thanks to Justwise and AKS for their invaluable advice while I was putting my application together. I gave the BHC all they asked for, so I believe I will get the visa. I’ll definitely keep the house posted on the outcome.

Meanwhile, to all those who plan to submit in Abuja please beware of touts outside the VFS office. A lady approached me to have my application ‘checked’ for N2000!! If you must use an agent please use credible and reputable ones and there are a number of them. It may also help to make photocopies of all your supporting documents at home because it costs N20 per page in the VFS building.

@ justwise-- u are right, it's simply my opinion but judging from what schools normally send along with CAS, u'll discover that all the doc / info submitted during admission can be looked up at the embassy online by inserting the CAS NO
quote is usually in this format: Please find attached, scanned CAS Statement confirming your place on our next course. The letter does not need to be sent to the Embassy as they have already been sent all your details on line. When contacting the Embassy please quote the CAS number shown on your letter.

My major interest is that u got ur VISA without submitting ur transcript (ONLY CERTIFICATE) @ BHC. I wrote last week about the issue of submission of transcript when i discovered that majority are somehow confused of whether to submit it with their application or not, My suggestion on this is that since u've submitted this at the point of gaining admission, it's not a[b] must[/b] to submit it again except if the applicant is a fresh graduate when dropping the application off at BHC. I wish others good luck in their applications

I think this issue of submission of transcript has to do with people who don't have certificate. For those with certificate, it's one of the important doc u need to send to school at the initial stage b4 considering whether u'll be giving admission or not then followed by CAS after payment of school fees.
The school will only issue the transcript in the name of the school, sealed, addressed to them and the applicant is not expected to open it how come guys still submit same transcript along with their application to the embassy. This is confusing to me and i need clarification from all u learned guys on this blog.
