Good morning my co nairalanders, moderator, and guests. I am In my late 20s, I got admission to a polytechnic in year 2012/2013 section, to study quantity survey,I couldn't get good grades for some reason (1)I don't understand what I was been taught by lecturers (2)my mind Was not Concentrate on the study To much things to worry about (i) I want to put on the best clothes, best perfume, spend money for my Cus mate, inshort word to see me as big boy, so I always go for huzzling every Thursday and come back on Monday afternoon, so that I can see my gal friend In the city. We were about to write exams, all tertiary institution in 2013 went to strike for months so I was happy Cus the exams was Prosponed I went back to DE city to face huzzling I don't read at all, after the strike we start writing exams after initial two weeks for revision, I performed woefully Cus my mind has been devided, I don't even bother to write one exam. Cus I don't know what to write, I suffer heart breaks from My gal friend who was dating a taxi driver, if am reading I we be thinking of the gal. I checked my result i got 2.13 (Pass) with three carry over in 3 unit Cus, I was ashamed, most of my Cus mate were in upper credit, I left school for my huzzling thinking I we make it good but I was busy parking the money for my gal friend so as to leave the taxi driver for me. But instead she was collecting from me and the taxi driver, until she told me she got admission to college of education at ondo state then my brain open..after Counsel and prayer, Cus I know something is wrong with me. Mind you my parents were not aware I left school, I left the gal and focus on my way, I lefty huzzling cus is inhuman, I got a good job at quarry site I was being paid 18k, so I told my parents am doing my I. T, I told them am going for my H.N.D, I was given money I use it to get jamb, I
passed it And got admitted to another poly but I was given geology, similar to my initial Cus, I did well I pray, stay away from gals, bad friend, no huzzling while in school, I focus on my study. And I excel, I have no carry over. so I finish with upper credit 3.20. And through out nobody new that am in N. D at home , Lucky for me after my school I got a casual job, for 20k, at a construction company At the same state I school. thanks God for that, but now my father keep asking me when to serve as corper, Cus all most all my mate are serving now, but I told him by August 2018, my mother doesn't have problems with me she just want me to be successfu, not minding service or Youth corper, and she trusts me and she can never believe I can do such thing. But my father don't leave with us right from beginning he only send us money in fact I saw my father last five years ago (2013), when I was in ND one in my previous school. please my brother and sister I needs ur advice on what to do?
