God will perfect everything for you, at his timing. It may not feel great rn, but when it eventually happens, you'd understand why things happened this way.

I tried for Germany in 2016 and stuff happened. I was discussing with my friend the other day and he reminded me how I could have been in Berlin, probably struggling with high living cost and all, but when it was God's time, I ended up in a state and vicinity that is way better for international students. And so far, the experience has been awesome.

I love your spirit already. Come what may, God is still faithful and he's also on your case, always will be. Trust Him.

Hi guys, just a quick update as regards my initial rejection and subsequent appeal.

A quick recap: Interview 22nd of August, rejection a week later. Appeal with supporting docs including SL sent on the 10th of September, receipt acknowledeged via email on the the 12th of September.

Enrollment deadline is 31st of this month, sent a couple of emails to the Embassy asking about status but no reply.

Embassy finally got around to sending an email today asking for a self addressed pre paid envelope via Courier, looks like another rejection is enroute.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone that helped me during the appeal process, I really appreciate it. The dream is still very much alive, delay they say is not denial. Winter is almost out of the question, Summer it is then. We fire again!

A big shout out to everyone contributing postively to this thread, may our dreams come true. It's been a tiring and exhausting journey I must say.

Have a great weekend, Gentlemen $ Ladies.

Genau!
marcondo13:
My brother, thank you. If I raise the issue of under employment in Canada,it will be as if I am discouraging people from migrating to Canada.
Let him ask anyone in Toronto about this saying "the safest place to have an heart attack,is in a taxi cab because it is most likely that your cab driver is a foreign trained medical doctor"!

No matter where you are,as long as you are connected to the system, and you have already signed an MOU with your village people, forget it,things will be alright though it might take time.

In the German speaking world, the only way to earn their respect,is to work twice harder them though, you may be recognized as a quarter as good as them!

If I tell you stories that I heard in the past of how African students were pampered by the university, but they messed up. We are the ones now suffering for their sins,on top of prevalent racism. This is why we are pushing to change the narrative that black African students are useless. How can a student be receiving 500euros monthly, and still refuse to go to class? Then, when the system retaliate, people will be shouting racism!

Make everybody use him head in order not to spoil the chances of those coming behind them! Nigeria don cast, and is now Buhari's cowlony. Any opportunity to learn new skills that comes to you, grab it by the balls and squeeze the hell out of it!

I got AM on 24th Sept. Mailed my passport and insurance same 24th but it got delivered on 25th evening. So, it was obviously attended to, on 27th Sept. I got a call to come pick it on 30th, if I still planned travelling on 1st October. Asked the caller to mail it, lemme reschedule my flight. It wasn't sent out. They didn't work on 1st October. I called on 2nd to confirm if it was sent out, the lady said she didn't send it out. They also didn't work on 3rd. Then on 4th, I kept calling and sending mails, it was eventually sent out on 4th, that was a Friday.

So this is how I ended up receiving my visum on 7th grin

RS21:
Your Visum date seems to be 2weeks after your AM didnt you drop your passport on time ... what was the delay... just curious.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Akwaekee(f): 10:19pm On Oct 12, 2019
This is not entirely true. I missed my connecting flight because my flight from Nigeria got delayed. Infact, my connecting flight left 5minutes before I landed at Istanbul. Luckily I got transferred to the next flight that left in 40minutes or so.
HighPriest0:

I learned that some people use to miss their connecting flight at instanbul Airport.... People who miss their flights are probably people who don't pay attention to details....

Hello guys, this German waka is really worth the stress. Keep pushing!

Received my visum on 7th.
Travelled to Port Harcourt on 8th.
Flew Turkish airline to Duesseldorf On 9th.
Went to my school for enrolment on 10th. Have gotten my semester ticket already.
Lectures start on 14th.

These Germans, atleast the ones I've met so far, are super nice. And a lot of them speak English too.

God will perfect everything for us all. He always comes through. Tschüss!

Yeah, I had same experience. I thought mine was because my proposed travel date, at the time, was just a day away.
Premiercare:
Call today from Embassy that original document and passport will be sent out today. That sounded odd. Anyone has that experience? i was thinking why call me, just send the docs. Tentative travel date 10/10/19. Just to add, today was 10th day from submitting travel insurance and passport. Anyone with similar experience?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Akwaekee(f): 5:35am On Oct 06, 2019
Calm down, this simply means the Embassy hasn't sent it out, yet. Once they hand it over to FedEx, you'd receive an update on the tracking page.

What was the travel date you filled in? I think they may likely call you on Monday. Besides, last week just dey them, somehow for body as they didn't work on Tuesday and Thursday.
Uzee24:
Goodmorning guys,

Please those that used Fedex prepaid envelop, were you able to track it when it was sent back to you by the Embassy?

Passport was delivered on Wednesday and till now the tracking data is saying not found. Enrollment deadline is 11th.

@Justwise If there's any proof of fraudulent activity from the Sassy lady, why don't you post It? Cos if this is merely a case of jumping into conclusion, cos she asked someone to send her a PM or whatever it was, and doing this, without fair hearing, then this really isn't fair.

Modesta24:
Hello All,
@Sassy sent me an email stating that she was banned and this is why she cant comment on the accusations laid against her.

Please how do you accuse someone and not let them state their own side of the story?

whatever that is written here stays here as long as narialand exists.

So please can we see that this issues are sorted out?

Pleading to all admins in charge.

For the fact that she been helpful to many . please

The Ph.D thing isn't the issue. During my interview with the lady on dreadlock, I mentioned I would love to acquire a Ph.D, and that if I got an offer in Germany that'd be perfect. I even mentioned it in my motivation letter. So no, that's not the issue.
Fabricio07:

"Due to your information provided on application, there are doubts in your case about the stated purpose of travel. In doing so, you were unable to plausibly demonstrate your intentions to study. The discretion could not be exercised in your favor. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements were not final"

She suggested PhD along with scholarship for that and I only agreed.
Thanks for your care.
it's well.

First off, I want you to understand that, you're not alone in this. Most of us have gone through this, at some point. You're human and the way you feel right now, is the way you should feel. However, brooding and mourning won't change a thing. It's time to get up and try again.

Secondly, about the reason for the refusal. You have a B.Sc in Philosophy which is completely different from the Health Informatics, you plan going for. This is something, which you should have tackled in your motivation letter.

You're going to fix this glitch, by writing a Remonstration letter that'd address every possible reason, you can think of, that'd have made them, reach the conclusion that, your intention of studying is questionable. Be it the disparity between your B.Sc and intended study, any study gaps, etc. I'd recommend you reach out to some elders, for help, particularly @Dolpaz.

This is a phase that'd pass soon. Hang in there. God got you.

GentleChief:
Guys please help me before I fall into depression. My visa application was rejected within one week of interview.

I need someone with experience. I was given admission in a university and I Exmatrikulation from my former university. I didn’t fail any course three times and there is no issue but the university said they have to revoke my admission because they think I will be moving from one school to another. This decision can be appealed right
Btw, how did they arrive at such conclusion?

Hmm...this is scary. I pray it gets sorted out. I had planned using Coracle earlier, until I noticed some irregularities, which prompted me to, use Fintiba at the dying minute.

Due to the delay in getting my blocking confirmation from coracle, I mailed them and Coracle is telling me that they are investigating it with their partner bank....

I topped up and got blocking confirmation under 3working days, i.e yesterday. Despite going back and forth with them, about how much, I need to top up and them making room for that.
freakky:
Who has funded with fintiba this week and has gotten a block account confirmation?

If your travel date on your health insurance is 1st October, I think you can choose to travel on any date that, won't jeopardize your chances of meeting up with your enrollment deadline. But the date must not be earlier than, the stipulated travel date.
MarkGud:
Can one decide to travel on a date different from what he submitted to the embassy?

Get the one they're addressing to whatever school. You can scan and edit the name of the school and readdress it to, whom it may concern, with Coreldraw or so. You can start sending the edited soft copy or print it out and start sending out hard copies, if you wish.
emmabowin:

OK thanks a lot. I did that exactly. However, they wouldn't address it as 'to whom it may concern'. So I gave them an address. How then would I use it to apply to other schools seeing that it has already been addressed to somewhere else

Why don't you sign up for the Coracle travel insurance, it's free and for 6months. You mustn't have a Blocked account with them, to sign up for it. However, the catch is that, you must use one of their health insurance packages, which I believe are all Government health insurance, upon arrival in Germany. Of which, if you're below 30, would be a lot better.

Turkish airlines is doing N184kish flights to Germany from Abuja. I think it’s even cheaper from Lagos. Go to Turkish airlines directly and not an agent to get the student discount to get that price. And if they don’t agree, call the Abuja office, they have the option of doing everything online.
