TravelRe: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by alabireal: 1:15pm On Nov 13, 2022
FrenchXpert:
I decided to open a thread for France. There is hardly any information for studying in France for Nigerians even when it's one of the cheapest, easiest and most straight forward process among developed countries. If you have any questions or concerns, drop them I will be answering all your questions. I will do my best to include the most necessary information as the thread goes on.

First things first, the application window to apply for admission to French Universities started 1st of October and will be closing 31st of December.

Update: Application on the portal now closes 15th December.
I was previleged to study once in France once and planning to go back soon, inherently I would advise folks here who are going to France on student visa and desiring to hustle, please try and get a University in Paris or any other big cities, most smaller cities don't give much hustling opportunities like big cities,so take note secondly try and learn the language a bit to survive well

Good luck
TravelRe: Let’s Talk About Croatia Work Permit And Visa Application. by alabireal: 1:48pm On May 03, 2022
Elvisu:
Just an update on this topic.
I and some of my guys applied for the entry visa to Croatia in November 2020 and our passports came out in January 2021 without visas. Actually we made a mistake while filling the visa application form. One of the information we entered was wrong and I believe that was why the visa was denied.

The employer that gave us the work and resident permit approval letter which we used in applying told us to reapply again and we did that in April 2021 which was after three months of the first denial. This time everything was ok.
Till now our passports are still with the Croatia embassy in South Africa. They don’t have embassy in Nigeria and the work and resident permit approval letter will expire in September 2021. We don’t know actually what is delaying our passports though there was a slight changes concerning Croatia work and resident permit approval for third world countries nationals.
The law took effect from this year.
The embassy is replying emails sent to them.

That is the situation for now.
Hello big bros, has there been any updates till now.....This thread will be helpful to so many souls

TravelRe: Africa's Fastest Trains Set To Be Shipped To Nigeria After Being Inspected. PICS by alabireal: 9:32pm On Sep 18, 2017
dainformant:
A batch of trains rolled off the production line of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltd., on Sept. 12, and will be shipped to the Port of Lagos in Nigeria a month later, according to reports.

These 10 standard-gauge trains were ordered by Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) in May this year. They have adopted Chinese standards, and will be the fastest trains running in Africa, with a design speed of 160 km/h. Operation speed could be as high as 150 km/h.

Lagos Senator, Senator Gbenga Ashafa was among the Ministerial Delegation that inspected some of the rail coaches expected in Nigeria by the N R C (next quarter), in Nanjing, China on September 12.

Gbenga Ashafa, chairman of the Nigerian Senate Committee on Land Transport, believes that the Chinese trains will definitely improve the railway development of the country. He said Nigeria is a fertile land open to foreign direct investments with a high return rate.

According to the CRRC Nanjing Puzhen, it is the second order placed by the NRC. The first of five trains was ordered in 2015 and delivered in 2016.

CRRC Nanjing Puzhen has finished 10 orders for six African countries so far, including Nigeria, Sudan, Cameron, and Kenya.

When are we going to learn, how can we call all these rickety stuffs train, what the Chinese themselves will never put on there own rail lines

Sending a whole lot of money to purchase this is to add to our burden, trains that will pack up in few years to come

PoliticsRe: Buhari Names Osinbajo 'Coordinator' In His Letter To Senate by alabireal: 5:50pm On May 09, 2017
I guess some people needs to read this.....Tonight I leave for London, to see my doctors. When I came back in March, I hinted that there might be a need to return soon, for a follow-up medical consultation.
I have sent the required letters regarding my trip to the Senate and the House of Representatives, in line with Section 145(1) of the 1999 Constitution.
Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo will take charge in my absence. The government will continue to function smoothly and efficiently.
I'd like to assure all Nigerians that there is no cause for worry. I appreciate your prayers and kind wishes. May God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.---- President Muhammadu Buhari

Africa keeps amusing me, I believed in good things, yes I do, but we celebrate material things and possessions almost beyond normal, and the reason why people will do anything to acquire material wealth at all cost even if to kill and steal, in western world this are just among the basic things of life available to everyone, both the rich and poor who cares about the house you built or live in, somebody build a house and now we put it on social media for public discussion and debate, a share waste of a good time ...May God help Africa...all comments are welcome even the foolish ones

Hello sir

I really found your contributions and submissions here very educative and astonishing, it really depicts the ones from a well and vastly traveled fellow and I love that sir

I am a master's students here in France and planning to seek either a Ph.D. or another masters admission to Germany but has an issue on my mind

I will like to know the procedure of obtaining a residence permit to Germany in my case, as a person still having a valid resident permit of an EU country.

I have been to Germany on two occasions and really love the country, of course, France isn't bad but the language barrier issue here is something else and sometimes their narrow-minded perspective to life here is killing compared to Germany where I have seen people more open-minded with less complex

You feedbacks will be highly appreciated

Thanks in advance
PoliticsRe: 2face Planned Protest: People Have The Right To Protest - Osinbajo's Office by alabireal: 4:05pm On Feb 03, 2017
A non- performing government who thinks that people should not come out to protest against their stupid policies and agendas at first place has successfully further instigates more hatred against themselves, for Osinbajo to come out and say that means they have accepted their non- credibility and slow delivery and knew quite well that Nigerians were really angry and above all to win people's sympathy
