Buhari that is APC Fulani man has congratulated the man. Reminds me of Emeka that was running after Okorocha for eight months. Left the state and the people he was supposed to govern, left his court cases and was busy chasing after okorocha. Before you know someone that’s more serious got the position. And even though the Hope guy is doing well. His people don’t like him they prefer that one that was going about with caterpillars. |

Mr Spokesman, let them come out of the bush with their hands up, well raised above their heads shouting “we surrender”. It’s unprofessional for the military to engage them that way, it’s even war crime. But if you want the government to go and use amnesty to beg them in the bush to surrender then you are an enabler and should be thoroughly investigated.

Fejoku: When we tell southern elites that they will come for them, they thought we were ignorant. They asked that you re-register your aircrafts. They brought up the enaira specifically to steal the funds of southerners. They came for Justice Odili because she's next inline to the now vegetative CJN Tanko. Now they've come for Obi Cubana. Next they will come for any southerner who they are not controlling. They have silenced Obadiah Mailafia. Their bait have caught and silenced the once verbose FFK. They killed Gulak and the husband of Dora Akunyili. Many more southern elites will feel the heat just like Mailafia exposed. My anger is that the rest of southern elites don't come together to form a resistance. What are they waiting for? The governors of Benue and lately of Kwara have openly lamented of fulani occupation of the lands. What else do the leaders of various strata of the whole southern region waiting for before they react? You all can start by shutting down the whole southern Nigeria. It surely will draw international attention. You can't continue to pretend that there's no visible plan being executed by the fulani government. Which one is come for them? How many notable people have gone to jail in US for tax evasion? |

OmoEpe: You actually saved me the stress of replying him. Till today there exists bad blood between the Shonibare and the Awolowo families over the ownership of Shonibare Estate in Maryland. The monetary value of that estate is much more than whatever they can accuse Tinubu of conering using the influence of his office. Alpha Beta is an accounting firm that is designed IGR of states. It is operating/ operated in 24 states of the country, countless LG and 17 African nations. It collects commission from all these bodies, if Lagos also pays commensurate commission, how as it being a crime? Was he Governors or president of those countries? You closed the thread. I’ve loved Tinubu a long time and I have never met him or benefited anything directly from him (besides that I live in Lagos) neither do I know someone who has but truth be told that man is a leader. AkalaJ: That guy you quoted has a very deep and blind hatred for Tinubu and is a PDP sympathizer so he can't see reason in what you just said.
The truth is that, no one can be as successful as Tinubu is politically without having an almost equal number of enemies as he would have admirers, even amongst his own people. That's the fate of all great statesmen all through history and politics. Awolowo had as many enemies as he did admirers, even amongst yorubas (Abiola was one of such men, Adegoke Adelabu the strong man of Ibadan was another, just to mention a few). And he was no stranger to betrayal by protégé and associates. But all that didn't diminish his status. Not to mention the hatred he elicited from the Northerners and the igbos. Therefore, in that sense, Tinubu is in good company. Lol.
There are many that will never like him (Tinubu) nor acknowledge his political renown just out of personal or political dislike (which they're entitled to in a democracy), not because he hasn't earned his stripes. To such people, nothing he would ever do would be good enough in their eyes, except maybe he just lays down and dies before they'll be satisfied. But the guy's star keeps rising, even after they've written him off, he keeps shining, in spite of their hatred. I totally agree. You have to be PDP to dislike Tinubu but it’s understandable. As far as am concern Tinubu is Awolowo of our time and that’s luck because even until now the other regions have not been able to raise another Zik or Tafawa so I can understand their hate too. |

[quote author=Eriokanmi post=107232862] Aolowo raised men while Tinubu raised thugs and thieves Osibanjo, Gbaja, Fashola, Sanwo Olu and the likes are not thugs. You guys talk about NURT like it’s Tinubu’s invention or like it’s peculiar to Lagos. No NURTW and Road Union are both by the federal government, Tinubu having a say in Lagos NURTW is because he used his influence to put people at the affairs of NURTW in his state that’s because he’s a leader. Awolowo had vision for the SW and the entire nation while Tinubu only fought for his pocket How? Nigeria of Awolowo is different from Nigeria of today. In today’s Nigeria the center takes it all. If Tinubu can not control the center he can’t do anything for SW.
Awolowo had his sight fixed at the centre but tinubu was eyeing the centre because of greed When you talk about Tinubu greed and all that you only talk about Alpha beta; that is an auditing firm, You can take the job from alpha better but the next company you will give it to will still take their share. Awolowo was loved by the majority and hated by only greedy few...(those who could wear Tinubu's shoes in their time). Tinubu is loved by everyone including the greedy too, the only people that hate Tinubu are PDP members but it’s normal you don’t expect Democrats to like Trump. How many private jets had Awolowo even though he could have diverted the proceeds from cocoa used in building the yoruba economy and OAU? Tinubu did a lot for Lagos. Lagos is the only government Tinubu ever had to manage and he did wonderfully well. All the corruption should going on here and there are distractions. Tinubu is a rich man. He has more money than Awolowo. MKO was very rich and he didn’t corner anything from Lagos or anywhere. Awolowo could have taken over lagos if he wanted to, but his vision was prosperity for all. Lol. Politics. Awolowo was bigger than Lagos. He was the premier of SW Nigeria that’s Lagos included. The other Atiku was crying and apologizing for not taking over Lagos for PDP in 2003 or so. Over the years many people have tried to take over Lagos. If they are not greedy why are they trying to take over Lagos. Even small Ambode tried to hijack Lagos but why if he’s not greedy? Tinubu is extremely influential in Lagos is more fair to say than to say he took over Lagos. Lagos is his political base. What do you want him to do? Give it up? All the people that hate Tinubu for Lagos are the people that can’t win there poling unit. Awolowo was a premier of Western region, intelligent and a man of integrity while Tinubu was not How’s Tinubu not of integrity a factual point and bit hearsay |

Eriokanmi: It's an insult to mention Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the late sage, where Tinubu's matter is being discussed. Please remove it now I don’t see a difference. Tinubu is to this generation what Awolowo was to his generation. Without Tinubu tell me how Yoruba are supposed to be in control of Nigeria affairs. How are we going to contribute to the center? Read what the OP is saying and understand. OBJ as a formal military and civilian president does not have Tinubu followers or protégés. Until a court of law convict Tinubu of any crime. He’s more saint than all Nigeria politicians with efcc case. It’s been I think 14 years since Tinubu left office. Why hasn’t a case been proven against him? Most of his pairs have corruption cases hanging on their heads but Tinubu. Just respect the man. Everything we know concerning Tinubu and corruption are hearsay. PDP could have used this corruption case to wrestle Lagos from him but they couldn’t because there isn’t any. |

In The Present Democracy, Okigwe Zone Has Done Four Years, While Orlu Zone Will Be Concluding Its 20 Years By 2024. Owerri Zone Has Done Almost 8 Months. Naturally, People Are Bound To Feel Pity For Ndi Owerri Zone. But Then, Power Is Not Given On A Platter. It Is Taken. Assuming Power Will Shift To Owerri Zone, What Are The Plans With Regard To Achieving This Target Of Power Shift? Like I Noted Earlier, Power All Over The World Is Taken, And Not Given ................Though Not By Force Of Arms, But By The Superiority Of Ideas, Strategies, Tactics, Grassroots Mobilization, Calculated And Determined Efforts, With The Requisite Financial Back Up.The Point I Am Making Is That Without Creating The Needed Audience That Will Assimilate The idea Of Power Shift, Those Agitating For It Would Be Wasting Time. Again, Are There Structures On Ground, Be It Political, Social And Cultural, From Where The Agitators Can Spread The Crusade To The Wider Imo Community? —Njoku MacDonald Obinna @njokuobinna Power all over the world is taken not given. We should write this somewhere and stick it on nairaland home page. When it’s orlu’s turn to go for another 4 years to get to 24th years in power at the detriment of another zone that’s only done 8 months you know that power is not given on a platter of gold. But all Nigeria must vote Igbo presidency or there will be war. To even think of all the IPOB, ESN activities that has gone down in that orlu this year alone over wanting to seize Nigeria or niger delta. I won’t call y’all hypocrites but you guys are slowly losing respect because you are not consistent with ideology. |
