I expect Igbos to form a new party or merge an existing one with other regions and slug out presidency from PMB and the North with the level of hatred they display here on Nairaland.
But no, it's APC Yorubas formed with North to boot out PDP they want to contest under. Rubbish! |

Later some nitwits will be running around blaming Yorubas, whereas their greedy leaders are drumming support day and night for the Buhari they hate. |

NonsoWow: Even to us Igbos, Abia state is a cursed land that must be burned to the ground. If it requires herdsmen to kickstart the process there, fine by me. At the end, we will rebuild the state and save Igboland the shame of having that spread of poo as part of our territory. GBAM!! So be it. |

Gpdwise: U are going to far!!! Food should never have been used as a tool for war!! I strongly advocate for one Nigeria. We have used tribalism to diminish our growth. A yoruba man won't allow a fulani man access because he feels marginalised or believes that more importance is been giving to a particular region forgetting the disaster that can be prevented from just allowing common sense and unity to rule Shebi? The common sense ojukwu lacked that made him greedy for Niger Delta Oil, thinking he could harness the region for Igbos alone. Oil that was found in Nigerian territory for all Nigerians, one foolish bald goat decided it should be for him and his people alone. #Things we put up with in Nigeria |

Nowenuse: I am not even from the south, but I believe in a united south to lead this country, simply because Yorubas and Igbos have proven to be more progressive than Hausa fulanis who want to keep on ruling this country and leave us backwards.
However I have discovered that the core-north would rather sow division among the yorubas and Igbos to ensure a divided south. Also make no mistakes, the yoruba muslims and some north central (Kogi & Kwara) muslims are being used as agents to ensure this continued division of the south.
The problem now is that the leadership of yoruba land is now in the hands of yoruba muslims, who will always prefer to allign with their fellow hausa fulani muslims than with the rest of the christian south. Please keep shut if you have nothing good to say. I am Yoruba and I'm not a religious bigot. Whether Christian or muslim, Yoruba comes first. Stop spewing trash to feel happy. Igbos should go their own way. Is unity by force?? They should face their biafra and let Yorubas face South West. |

7lives: You better go and study your history very well. Ore and Benin are not Igboland, your people's insatiable greed for other people's land was their greatest undoing. All that Biafra army needed was to destroy the Niger bridge but no, the West must be added to Biafra, your people are nothing but expansionists, una no know una size. How can you be fighting Aboki and use this as an excuse to invade my own homeland. Your people ASKED for it and got duely SERVED. Yorubas are way too SMART for your childish games so they stopped you. Only a mad mad man will open his door for armed robbers. Now run along to fight for the oppressed people of Nigeria this is your new role now, play it well. They thought Yorubas are fools like them.. You are fighting North but coming towards West to take control and you expect people in the West to fold their arms and allow you take their lands. They are too greedy and forward |
Politics › Re: Yorubas Has Lost This Bet by Alariwo2: 9:03pm On Jan 11, 2018 |
Sprumbabafather: Much respect for my yoruba sophisticated strategists but it's becoming clear by the day that they have lost this bet. The horse they backed for the race won, but the price they were supposed to get has been given to the north. Forget the VP position which you all know is a figure head and totally caged and inconsequential to the whole arrangement. The guy is a mere rubber stamp kept there to fill a post, his opinion is worth less than that of a local government chairman from Kano. I nearly laughed yesterday when the NIIA position of a yorubaman was given to a greenhorn, Abubakar in continuation of the pattern created from 2015. At least Jonathan would have replaced the sacked DG with another yoruba man. Fashola has lost his voice, drowned out by bigger forces who continues to pile work on his head, taking any little praise from him if any, and heaping blames on his head for the mess in his ministries. Tinubu? Caged in Lagos, a complete outsider to the corridors of power since the very day Bubu was sworn in . Afenifere can complain, Oodua youths can whine and cry, OPC can fume from morning till night but nothing has changed. It took many months to convince the powers that be to look into the case of Oba of Ile ife who was thrown into jail with 20 yoruba men and women like common criminals just because his subjects retaliated against the northern rape and murder. I don't know what they planned to gain from backing this evil government, but I think they are losing everything, including their shirts in this bet gone sour. But I suggest they appease the north for things to change. Maybe a large swathe of land, like 4,000 hectares of land from yorubaland given to the herdsmen to form a national grazing field for all the cattle in Nigeria can make things right again. We must make this country work somehow. You should be worried about igbos in Nigeria not Yorubas.. With the way things are, Igbos won't smell Presidency or VP in the next 100 years (no jokes). Hope you guys are happy now.. You're reaping the seed you sowed under GEJ by marginalizing Yorubas. The next Southern president will be Yoruba.. So we're still on course |

Dahun ibere yi ki o si gba ebun tire Your questions are somehow.. Why didn't GEJ fix roads, electricity, education, agriculture etc. since he was the best thing that happened since sliced bread. GEJ failed woefully. He surrounded himself with thieves mostly easterners and left the system to rot. Bokoharam, Fulani herdsmen killings etc all started during his tenure and he did absolutely nothing to curb them. But you want me to criticize Buhari for GEJ's failure to act on time. Sorry, I don't think that way |
