Religion / Take EndSARS Protest To Church: Sowore, Small Doctor, Reno Omokri by alBHAGDADI: 8:00am On Oct 11, 2020 |
I Appeal To Endsars Protesters Not To Drag Pastors Or Take Protest To Churches I will like to use this medium to appeal to Christians and churchgoers to keep the House of God away from the EndSARS campaign. I strongly sympathize with those who have suffered or lost their life to police brutality. However, dragging a sacred place called the House of God into protests and social media campaigns is strongly frowned at. I've seen some tweets from some celebrity social media influencers begging for the EndSARS protests to move to churches. They are worried about the silence of pastors. First and foremost, pastors are entitled to maintain silence. They have the right to speak and not to speak. Trying to force out a statement from them concerning SARS is tantamount to bullying as seen in cancel culture which is now in Nigeria. Here is a tweet from singer Small Doctor calling for EndSARS placards inside churches. He said, Tomorrow Is SundayThinking faceThere Will Be Church Services, Remember To Hold Atleast One Of The #Endpolicebrutality #Endsars Banner Or Placard. https://mobile.twitter.com/iam_smalldoctor/status/1314912108413358080 This is a singer that was caught with an illegal gun, who has no morality, now having the effrontery to tell pastors ordained by God what to preach in Church. Simply because he successfully led a protest to the government house in Lagos, he's now calling for EndSARS protests in church and the disruption of sermons delivered by the Holy Spirit. Where is the fear of God? Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore also shared the same ideology. He said, #EndSARS to our Christian brothers and sisters, if your pastor is not preaching liberation tomorrow (Sunday), leave the church in protest, don’t pay no damn tithes and /or offerings! And don’t forget to join an #EndSarsNow protest, it is a Godly thing to do #RevolutionNow https://mobile.twitter.com/YeleSowore/status/1315039632422297601 Let me ask some questions. Was it God that created SARS? If no, why is Sowore telling people not to pay tithe which is God's belonging? This is a call to disobey God, not to end police brutality. Anyone who follows his advice will blame himself sooner or later because... Hebrews 10:13 KJV It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri is also part of the plot to disrupt the House of God. On his own part, he tweeted that if pastors don't talk about EndSARS in church this Sunday, people should desecrate the offering meant for God. While Christians will be placing their money into the offering box, Reno Omokri is saying that EndSARS protesters should write EndSARS on a piece of paper and place it inside the box as their offering instead of money. He tweeted, Dear Nigerians, https://mobile.twitter.com/renoomokri/status/1314993056991588359 I ask, where is the fear of God? Is it not enough that you are allowed to protest in the streets that you have to take it to God's sacred place and desecrate it? Must a pastor speak or preach what you want to hear? What happened to him preaching the message God gave him? No, you want him to say what you want which means he should abandon what God wants him to preach. That's why I like the Bible, it is ever ready for every situation and has spoken of this generation which won't want the truth but will want the preachers who will tell them what they want to hear. 2 Timothy 3:4 KJV 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables If people had been listening to the sound doctrine being preached in the Churches of God, there won't be any need for SARS nor protests. Churches have been preaching against fraud, laziness, idleness, rascality, prostitution, indecent dressing etc, but no one cared to listen. Those sermons are for their own good but they failed to listen. Now, they are crying that they are being brutalized by police. If you had listened and obey God, you won't be looking like the profile of a criminal fit enough to be extorted by the bad eggs in SARS. But you want to live anyhow without any repercaution. Now that SARS is brutalizing you, you want to hear pastors speak. Sadly, it is what you put in their mouth you want them to say, not the truth they have been saying for years which you have been rejecting You want to take to Church your protest which has never been against Yahoo boys but against the system that curtails them. Do you actually know what the House of God is? You don't, that's why you want to turn it into a den of thieves and Yahoo boys. Before you start sweet-talking about how Jesus would be kind to such protests, see what he said below after flogging those who made nonsense of the House of God.. Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. If you take the EndSARS protests to church, just count it that you have drawn battle against God. You have gone in total rebellion against him and have desecrated his sacred place. This thread is to appeal with those who might be misled into protesting in God's house. Please have a change of heart. The national assembly is there. We have state house of assembly and other government agencies. God's House is not the one hiring and firing security operatives. Please have a change of heart because... Celebrities / Endsars Or Black Lives Matter: Before You Join Protest, Read This by alBHAGDADI: 6:49pm On Oct 09, 2020 |
Are you guys sure that what is going on is the EndSARS they claim it is or something else? Right about now, no one is scrutinizing the protests because they have all been carried away by emotions. Just a few days into the protests and we are already seeing signs of the Black Lives Matter in it. I just saw a video on front page which shows protesters bending a knee and raising a fist while the National Anthem of Nigeria was being played. This is no different from what is going on in America where people are now disrespecting the flag and anthem of the country which many soldiers died for. This indicates that Black Lives Matter protest is masking as EndSARS protest. Any right thinking person will know that what should be demanded for is a reform of the activities of the SARS police unit. The Inspector-General of Police has given such a directive which bans SARS from patrol and also searching citizens. They are now to fight against violent crimes which they were created for. Ask yourself, what re the complaints against SARS? Aren't they what the IGP just banned? The ban will stop them from killing innocent people. The IGP also ordered the prosecution of operatives who engage in such. Still yet, protesters are demanding that SARS be completely abolished. If such happens, who will fight against violent crimes? Who will defend you and I when violence erupts in our neighborhood? Be sincere with yourself, haven't security operatives been successful enough in fighting crimes including internet fraud aka yahoo yahoo? Go to the instagram page of the EFCC and see how 20 to 30 young boys are lined up everyday for internet fraud. Check out the cars they seize from them. That shows the level of damage they've done to Nigeria's image abroad. But because of one or two bad eggs in the police, people are now calling for their abolishment despite their gains. Look at the proponents of EndSARS - Wizkid, Small Doctor, Naira Marley, Tiwa Savage, Runtown, Davido etc. Wasn't Wizkid hanging out with Hushpuppi months before the Dubai based guy was arrested for defrauding millions of billions with his yahoo yahoo? Wasn't Small Doctor caught in 'unlawful' possession of a gun after being made a police ambassador? The songs Naira Marley sings, do they benefit the society but corrupt it? He, however, made sense when he said, “We need to reform SARS. Let’s be reasonable, are you an armed robber? “Why will you say they should end SARS? If you end SARS, it means they should end EFCC and other agencies. Wasn't Davido on stage singing at the 2015 campaign rally of President Muhammadu Buhari, the same president they are accusing of not heeding their call? Wasn't Hushpuppi seen spraying dollars at his brother's wedding in Dubai? Other celebrities are just supporting the EndSARS campaign for clout and nothing else. Perhaps they are sympathizing with the fraudsters whom they regularly praise in their music. Police PRO DCP Frank Mba best described them on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily programme today. He said, “... others are protesting because they are beneficiaries of criminal enterprises. Some of them are people who are receiving stolen goods. “Others are into organised crimes such as gunrunning, importation of drugs and so on. “There are also pseudo-activists, desperate for public validation or want to be seen as social media influencers. These are the ones that post false items and fake news.” Now, they are tagging foreign media houses, Manchester United, foreign celebrities etc because they want EndSARS to gain global attention. What they have done is unleash the horrible demon called Cancel Culture on Nigeria which America is trying to get rid of. Actress Toyin Abraham, Burna Boy and others are currently getting dragged and canceled on Twitter or failing to join the protest. Toyin Abraham who tweeted about her new movie this morning was attacked by the cancel culture mob. According to them, she shouldn't be promoting her business while "everybody" is trying to EndSARS. They started tagging people and telling them to not watch her movie. The actress was forced to start tweeting against SARS. Reno Omokri is currently trying to drag Manchester United into the EndSARS campaign by telling them to tweet to support their Nigerian fans facing police brutality. Look, the Americans who started cancel culture have written to call for its end. CNN journalist, Fareed Zakaria, and others at Harpers magazine wrote a letter around June to reveal that the cancel culture is threatening debate in the world. People are no longer allowed to hold a different opinion. If you do, a mob will attack you and could get you fired. Journalists were threatened by this and so had to speak against it. Sadly, that culture has been unleashed on Nigeria because we worship celebrities the same way Americans do. Celebrities who are puppets in the hands of dark and hidden forces use their huge social media influences and blue ticks to sway people into a line of thought they themselves know nothing about. Cardi B whose country is plagued with Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA protests is thinking about weighing in on EndSARS. She cant control her home of just three persons, yet she wants to interfere in the affairs of a complicated nation as Nigeria with over 200 million people. Someone promotes immorality and gangster lifestyle is whom Nigerians are calling to fight for them. By the time those foreign celebrities and organizations that are being tagged start to tweet about EndSARS, the world will see their hypocrisy. Same people who called for social distancing because of coronavirus won't hesitate to support the EndSARS protests because they can smuggle agendas into it. They won't mind the total disregard for social distancing at the protests. We are already seeing them bending one knee and raising the Marxist fist in Lagos. Next is LGBTQ+ flags and the burning and looting of businesses. They will also threaten you to adhere to their course or you experience violence. It's happening in America already. It's sad that some people have died as a result of Police brutality, but calling for the removal of the unit will equate to calling for the supremacy of crime. Ask yourself, where have these celebrities been since thousands of Christians have been getting slaughtered in Southern Kaduna. Tell all of them to turn up for a protest and also tag Cardi B. I can bet that you won't see any of them. 3 Likes 1 Share |

jefff455: What sin could you possibly be thinking about committing in your deathbed? Look, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has paid for your sins of yesterday, today and those to come. If you decide to commit sin on your deathbed, God might make your death painful, but your soul will is already saved. |

matex97: Such a person will continue to suffer on this Earth. Imagine you say you want to keep sniffing cocaine and inducing heroine in your body because you think it's cool. You will end up in a psychiatric hospital. If you want to keep smoking, cancer is awaiting you. If you want to keep stealing, jail awaits you. Do you know how many prisoners don't even know what Facebook, Instagram and Android phones are? That's because they've been in prison for decades. The only time they hear of social media is when a new criminal comes in. If you keep stealing, you might end up as the new criminal to tell them about social media. Guess what? decades later, a new criminal will come into prison to tell you about the latest trends then. That's all because you chose to continue to commit the sin of stealing. So, when God says don't sin, it's basically for your own good. If you do, God can punish you for it which is why some end in jail. God will punish you like a loving father, but will never cast you in hell. Earthly father's don't throw their sons to tigers to eat. Why do we think God will do the same to those who are brothers to Jesus and now his sons? Hebrews 12:6-11 KJV 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 1 Like |

matex97: Rather, it is those who call Jesus Christ a Saviour but turn around to say he loses what he saves that are causing a great harm to humanity. What did Jesus Christ himself say? John 10:28 KJV And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. If Jesus himself promised that no man can pluck those he has saved from his hands, who are you to say otherwise? He said "neither shall any man PLUCK them out of my hand". What this means is that you as a man can't even pluck yourself from his hand. This means that no matter how much you sin, you can't be plucked out of his hand. Why? Read the next verse. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 1 Like |

jesusjnr2020: You don't seem to know that everyone's name is written in the Book of Life from the moment we were born. That's why babies and little children go to heaven when they die at that age. We were all written in the book of Life when we were born. It is sin that gets out name blotted out of it. The moment we accept Jesus as the one to save us from our sins, our name gets written in it again. We immediately get eternal life according to John 3:16 John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. What does eternal life mean? It means a life that never ends but goes on for all eternity. If sin could make the eternal life end, then it was never eternal. It means God lied when he said he gave us eternal life for believing in Jesus. John 5:10-11 KJV 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. You do not believe that God has given us a life that never ends and that we can never perish. You have made him a liar because you did not believe when he said it. According to you, sin can end God's work So, what you have clearly done is quote a verse without full understanding of it. That is what Satan does to keep people in bondage. If the Bible says we are sinners, how can the same Bible now support your stance? You are wrong. Let me give you an assignment. Mention just one person on Earth that is without sin. You can never have an answer to that assignment. So, that clearly means we are all sinners and doomed. That's why we depend on Jesus to save us. But you are here telling people that they must never sin or else they will miss heaven. You are making that insinuation even when a verse in the OP says "there's no righteous man on Earth that forth good and sinneth not." Look, you can keep depending on your ability to not sin, instead of depending on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. But guess what? If you live your whole life in a sinless way but offend in a little way, as little as stealing a match stick, you will not only be guilty for the stolen match stick but also for fornication, adultery, murder and other sins which you never committed. That's what the Bible says below. James 2:10 KJV For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point , he is guilty of all. Dpending on your ability to keep the law clearly shows why you do not believe Jesus when he said he has fulfilled the law on your behalf and paid for your sins. Galatians 5:4 KJV Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. |
Religion / Jesus Is Not An Earthly Bank That Loses What Has Been Saved by alBHAGDADI: 6:47am On Sep 27, 2020 |
If you saved a billion dollars in a bank and months later you are told that the money has been lost. Do you think it is appropriate for the bank to tell you that you have lost your money? No. What will happen is that the bank will be held responsible for losing the money it helped you save. Compare that to a situation where people say you can lose your salvation after Jesus Christ saved you. You can't lose your salvation because you didn't save yourself. If you get LOST after Jesus SAVED you, then he will be held responsible for losing what he saved, not you. I'm glad that the Bank of Jesus Christ is not like earthly banks that fold up or can have armed robbers or cyber fraudsters break in. This is why I believe I'm forever SAVED in his arms and can never lose my salvation. He himself said it... "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER perish, neither shall any man PLUCK them out of my hand." - John 10:28 If you don't believe those words, then you don't believe in the amazing Grace of Jesus Christ. Most people think we have to be totally sinless before we can make heaven. That is why they believe a single sin, no matter how small it is, makes them lose their salvation. This believe of theirs contradicts the Bible. The Bible strongly shows that everyone on Earth is a sinner. Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. Romans 3:23 KJV For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 1 John 1:8 KJV If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Those who believe one has to be sinless to make heaven should please pay attention to the last verse above. It says anyone who says he has no sin is deceiving himself and the truth is not in him. If your great pastors who appear as if they see God daily should say they are without sin, I will immediately see them as liars without the truth in them. I hope you also saw this verse below. Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. We are all sinners and that's why Jesus came to save us from our sins. If we could save ourselves by avoiding sin, he won't have had any need to come. He knew we will always sin, that's why he came to pay for it. Mathew 1:21 KJV 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. How do we make heaven now that we know we are all sinners? Look, we can only make heaven if we become righteous like Jesus Christ which is the righteousness of God. Jesus Christ came to earth and lived totally righteous, not one single sin. That's why any man claiming he's without sin is lying and trying to equate himself with Jesus Christ the sinless one. Jesus who was righteous was killed like the worst sinner. Why did that happen? 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Jesus took upon himself our sins and his righteousness was transferred to we who believe in what he did on the cross. We are now righteous in God's eyes, such that even though men and Satan see our sins, God doesn't. He sees Jesus Christ who has been punished for it, who paid for it. Same thing happens when a hardened criminal gets sentenced by a judge. Then someone shows up and offers to serve the sentence while the criminal is set free like a righteous man. That someone is Jesus while we were the criminal. With this righteousness of God which Jesus has given us, we can now enter into heaven which is a righteous place where God the Father dwells. John 1:12 KJV But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Does that mean we can continue sinning as we like? No. Note that we will always sin as long as we are in this sinful flesh. But God will punish us here on earth for that. Remember the verse above, we have become his children. No father sets his son ablaze for disobedience. The son only gets spanked. And that is what God does to his children who disobey him. 1 Like 1 Share

chiommy123: You have asked a question. Now the answer according to the Bible is that where there is something n, Grace abounds much more. This means Grace is bigger than sin. Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: We don't sin because we love God, not because it is what we need to make heaven. 1 Like |

seyi360: I tell you once again, you don't believe in Jesus. Jesus who promised to save us will keep his promise. If we could save ourselves, then he had no need to come and die for us. He knew there was no way for us to make heaven by not sinning. So, he came and paid for the sins. If you say sin can still stop us from making heaven, then what exactly did Jesus pay for? Why did he come? Those who don't believe in him are your kind who make it clear that he didn't do anything and his death is weak to save us. We his believers know that he's strong enough to keep us safe. Let me ask you a question. You can keep the answer in your mind. Is there a man on Earth that is without one single sin? I believe your answer is "yes, there is." But such man doesn't exist according to the Bible which says "for all have sinned". If any man e.g your Daddy G.O should say he has no sin, the Bible says he's a liar and the truth is not in him. 1 John 1:8 KJV If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Now, since the Bible says we are all sinners, doesn't that mean no one will make heaven? Doesn't it make sense to you why it is good to depend on the redemptive work of Jesus Christ to get you to heaven? Look, you have no Bible verse to back your claims. You are just regurgitating sentiments you have been deceived with. That's why the verses we have out forward, you haven't been able to show if we've quoted them wrongly. |

chiommy123: YES, because that's the meaning of the word saved. However, the person that keeps sinning, which we will always do because we are all sinners, such a person will will keep getting chastised by God. Hebrew 12:6 KJV For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. The reason why we remain saved despite our sins is because Jesus Christ who has paid for the sins is there for us. 1 John 2:1-2 KJV 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And that's exactly what Jesus came to do in the world i.e save us from our sins. Mathew 1:21 KJV And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. |

seyi360: At this point, I have no choice but to label you an illiterate both spiritually and academically. How can you say eternal life is a gift and that the recepient can discard it? It's ridiculous. First, what does eternal life mean? It means a life that NEVER ends. We get eternal life when we believe in Jesus Christ because it is God's gift to us. But you say one can discard it. This means the eternal life will END in the process. If so, then it means it wasn't eternal life you got as a gift then. Because eternal life doesn't end, nothing can make it end; it is ETERNAL. So, you sound like an illiterate when you say eternal life can be discarded. 2 Likes 1 Share |

seyi360: @bold When we say you guys don't believe in Jesus, you think we are lying. Jesus himself said, no man is able to pluck his sheep out of his Father's hand, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. No man can pluck his sheep from his hand, yet you say the sheep can choose to leave. Look, they can't even choose to leave. Even if they try, they can't because no man, not even themselves, can remove them from God's hand because Jesus said in the last verse that God is greater than all. If you believe they can pluck themselves from God's hands, then you have said they are greater than God. This shows you don't believe in Jesus who said "God is greater than all". Read the passage again. John 10:27-29 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 3 Likes 1 Share |

@OP What you've posted is nothing but lies and an attack on the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. I will prove it to you by showing you how you've twisted the Bible and used verses wrongly. seyi360: A good look at the verse you quoted shows that Jesus is simply talking about those who doubt the kingdom of God, not those who have accepted it. Those who hold the plough and look back are the ones who are in doubt of the gospel of the kingdom of God. Such are not fit for the kingdom of God because it takes believe without any doubt. Once you hold the plough and you continue with it, it shows you believe that there is a reward waiting for you in the kingdom. But once you hold the plough and you look back, it means you doubt the message that there's a kingdom waiting for you. That is unbelief and such a person is an unbeliever who is not fit for the kingdom of God. Ezekiel 3: 20. You have quoted a good verse but wrongly applied it. Firstly, we need righteousness to make heaven. But what kind of righteousness? Is it our own righteousness that gets us to heaven? Let's see what the Bible says about our own righteousness. Isaiah 64:6 KJV But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; Since the Bible says our righteousness is as filthy rags, shouldn't that tell you that we can't enter heaven with filthy rags? Then which righteousness do we need? We need the righteousness of God which comes through believe in Jesus. That's how Abraham attained righteousness. Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. John 3:16 says we have to believe in Jesus Christ. When we do that, we become righteous in God's eyes because Jesus who was sinless takes upon himself our sins and gives us his righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him So, we have two righteousness - the one which is our own and described as filthy rags, and the one gotten through believe in Jesus which leads to heaven. So, the righteousness in the verse you quoted could never have gotten that made into heaven because it is filthy rags. It is not the one gotten from Jesus but gotten as a result of what he did as seen in the verse itself. Matthew 7:21-23 This passage ties with what I explained above. The men were depending on their own WORKS of righteousness instead of the righteousness from God through believe in Jesus Christ. Notice how while they were mentioning all they have done, they never mentioned that they believed in Jesus Christ. It was all about their wonderful works of righteousness which are filthy rags. Jesus answered them saying, "I never knew you". He didn't say "I used to know you but stopped after you sinned." He said he never knew them at any point in time. That's because they didn't believe he could save them from their sins. They thought their works of righteousness is what will get them to heaven. That's why they listed it. If it is that Jesus stopped knowing them after they sinned, then he's a liar to have said he NEVER knew them. I'm glad he's not a liar. So clearly, you have misinterpreted the passage. Luke 9:1 Look, Judas was never saved. Even before Jesus called him, he was a devil. John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 1Corinthians 10:12 This verse doesn't in any way talk about losing one's salvation. You are misapplying it just as you've done so far. Mind you, John 3:16 promises eternal life to those who believe in Jesus. Eternal Life means a life that doesn't end. If it could end, then God lied when he said he gave us eternal life. I'm glad he's not a liar. Once Saved Always Saved. 5 Likes 1 Share |

AbdulSleeky: Ask yourself, what's the racist thing he did? Someone that was loved by everyone including top black celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, 2pac etc. The moment he announced he will be running for president, Obama and his satanic crew decided to deceive gullible people by labelling him a racist. Yet, blacks have gained more employment under him than ever before, more than under a black president. The truth is, Trump is hated because he stands with God's people who are called Christians. Obama came and destroyed America's godly nature by empowering homosexuality and all kinds of anti-biblical tendencies. He sided with Iran and enemies of Israel all because he hated God. They are now angry that Trump is pulling those things they built down. Trump himself said they are after Americans, he's just the one in their way which is why they want him out. No one ever loves a man who speaks bluntly. That's why they hate him which shows he's not a false person. 1 Like |

AbdulSleeky: There was positive result before the plandemic. The economy was the best in the world. What you call civil war in the streets is sponsored by his haters to paint him bad. The violent protesters claim they are protesting the killing of innocent blacks. More blacks were killed under Obama than Trump a white president. Yet, no protests then. The protests are even in Democrat controlled cities which means they fully support it despite small business owners counting losses due to looting and burning of their stores. Stop swallowing everything the Fake News Media tells you. Perhaps you do because you are a Muslim who is still pained by Trump's Muslim ban. Admit it. 3 Likes |

Chosen1984: Mr False Prophet littering Nairaland with your righteousness sermon. Despite the OP showing clearly that everyone is a sinner and no one can make heaven as a sinless person, you are still here preaching that people must daily check to see that they do not commit sin if they want to make heaven. What a satanic doctrine. We don't make heaven by our works of righteousness, but by the sacrifice of Jesus who paid for our sins and made us righteous before God despite our sins. 2 Corinthians 5:21 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. You have come here to pervert the gospel by telling people that they must not sin or else they won't make heaven, even when the Bible makes it clear that "there is none righteous". You are telling people to depend on their works to save them instead of Jesus Christ. You have rendered the sacrifice of Jesus useless by telling people to depend on their works which the Bible says doesn't save. Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast You are a false prophet and your end will come soon. You keep spreading false messages and making people live in fear when God said he has not given us the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. We don't fear what's to come because we are saved. Not even sin can separate us from God because the blood of Jesus intercedes for us who believe in it. 1 John 2:1 KJV My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: Nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:35, 38-39 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or unclothedness, or peril, or sword? 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Even Jesus Christ said it himself that he will never lose any of his own. John 10:27-28 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Jesus said that nothing can make him lose those he has saved. Yet you say sin will. If sin is greater than your saviour, it is not greater than my saviour Jesus Christ. Stop spamming Nairaland with falsehood. You are a minister of satan which is why you always preach righteousness which is typical of Satan's ministers. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. As seen above, your end shall be according to your works since you believe in work based salvation. Guess what Jesus told people like you who were depending on their many wonderful works. Matthew 7:22-24 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. |

James 2:10 KJV 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Exactly. That's why you have to depend on your believe in Jesus Christ, not your ability to not sin. If you say you don't commit murder, theft, adultery etc but you tell lies, you won't be guilty of only lies but all those other sins you didn't commit. And as the Bible says "there's none righteous, no not one", it means we all sin. That's why Jesus came to pay for those sins only if we believe he did. But many reject him by thinking they can make heaven on their own by not sinning. I'm glad James 2:10 shows them that one single sin puts them in the same boat with other sins they didn't commit. And since "there's none righteous", it means we all have one sin or more. This is why it is dangerous to depend on your ability to not sin. Anybody thinking he will make heaven by not committing sin is a liar and the truth is not in him. The Bible says... 1 John 1:8 KJV If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. That's why the Bible says "all have sinned". Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; If you check verse 24 below, the Bible says we are justified by God's Grace through what Jesus did. 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: That is also why the Bible said it is God's Grace that saves us, not our works or ability to not sin. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. As seen above, what saves us from hell and gives us heaven is God's Grace which is a gift from him, not our works. If it were our works, we would boast when we get to heaven saying things like "while others were committing sin, I didn't". That would mean a liar gained access into heaven and still lied because the word of God says "there's none righteous" and also that if "we say we have no sin, we lie and the truth is not in us". All of these is why I say it is easy to enter heaven, so easy like drinking a glass of water. Why is it easy? Because Jesus has done the hard part on the cross. All we have to do is just believe he paid for our sins on the cross. Once we do, we instantly get everlasting life. Now, some will say if you sin you will lose the everlasting life Jesus gives to his believers as seen in John 3:16 which is the most popular Bible verse. Now, if you lose the everlasting life, then it means it was never everlasting because the word everlasting means never ending. So, if sin can end the everlasting life, then God lied when he said he gives his believers everlasting life in John 3:16. John 3:16 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Gladly, God doesn't lie, it is man that lies and is lying with the help of satan to prevent people from knowing that God has already given us eternal/everlasting life. Those who believe so are those who truly believe in Jesus. Those who don't have called God a liar. 1 John 5:10-11 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. Verse 11 says: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal The Bible also said that we already have it just for believing in Jesus. The eternal life is not something we will later find out when we leave earth. It is something we already have. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life , and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. So, it is simple to make heaven, but satan is blinding people from seeing how glorious this gospel is. 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. It's time for you to see the grace of God. Admit you are a sinner, then believe Jesus has paid for your sins. He will immediately give you eternal life which can never be lost. Remember, you are no longer the one paying for your sins but Jesus. Does that mean you can now go ahead and sin as you like? Even if you do, you won't miss heaven because you already have eternal life. So, why shouldn't you sin? 1. Because you love God enough to keep his commandments. John 14:15 KJV If ye love me, keep my commandments. 2. God will punish you for sinning. No father throws his son into fire for sinning. That is why God will never throw you in hell fire for sinning. He will only scourge you here on Earth like a loving father does to correct his son. Hebrew 12:16 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. You are now a son of God because of your believe in Jesus Christ. John 1:12 KJV But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on his name: God will never throw his sons into an everlasting fire. That's why he told us that once we believe in his Son Jesus Christ, we are passed from death to life. John 5:24 KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 11:25-26 KJV 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? But you may ask, "are we never going to die?". Yes, we will never die. "What about the Christians who are dead and those still dying?". That is the physical death which we all taste. The death Jesus is talking about is THE SECOND DEATH. which takes place in the LAKE OF FIRE. Revelations 29:14-15 KJV 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. [bThis is the second death.[/b] 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. The book of Life is a book containing the names of those who have life i.e eternal life as given by Jesus. Those people will not taste the second death because Jesus promised that their believe in him has made them pass from death to life. Isn't this good news? If it is to you, then don't let anything stop you from having eternal life now. Say the prayer below. Lord Jesus, I come before you as a sinner. Forgive me and accept me. Give me eternal life because I believe you have it with you. I believe you died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to save me. Make me a child of God today. Amen If you have said the above prayer from your heart, you have become a child of God and will never miss heaven. 1 Like |

Hebrews 12:5-6 say this: “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” Galatians 6:7 says this: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. We believe that once you are saved if you live in sin there are consequences for that sin, your heavenly Father will chastise you. Just like an earthly father has to discipline his children when they do wrong. It doesn’t mean that you are not loved by your father, it doesn’t mean that he is kicking you out of a family, it just means that he is correcting you, when you need to be corrected. Everything that we have showed you so far has came straight out of the Bible. I basically read a verse and explained it, read another verse and explained it. What we have seen in Scripture is that we are all sinners, there is none righteous. What we’ve seen is that our sins condemn us to hell: “the wages of sin is death”. And that is not just the physical death, but the second death, meaning “being cast into the lake of fire”. We have seen that Jesus Christ died, was buried, was resurrected to pay for our sins. We’ve seen that we don’t have to do anything: we don’t have to pay, work, or earn our salvation, it’s a free gift. And we’ve seen, that salvation is eternal, it will last forever: no matter what we do, it will never end. Allow me to go back to this gift illustration: let’s say I bought a gift, and wrapped it up and put your name on it, and I said “here you go, happy birthday. You don’t have to give me any money for this gift, you don’t have to do anything for this gift. I just want to give you this free gift”. And let’s say you said “Thanks, but no, thanks”, and you rejected my free gift; did that gift ever become yours? The answer to this is “no”: it never became yours, because you have never accepted it. Was the gift paid for? It was paid for, because I paid for it. Was it meant for you? It was – it says “To” and it has your name on it. But it never became yours, because you didn’t receive it. And the gift of God is the exact same way: Jesus Christ already paid for it on the cross and He offers it to all of us freely, but you get a choice weather you’d like to accept it or reject it. If you could accept the gift of God would you do it? In Romans 10:9 the Bible says this: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus” – I want you to notice: you are NOT confessing to a man, or a priest, you are “confessing Jesus Christ”; the word “confess” means “to admit”. And what you are saying is “I’m a sinner and I need a Savior, and I am confessing the Lord Jesus”. But it’s more than just saying words: it says “and shalt believe (that’s the faith) in thine heart (what are you believing?) that God hath raised him from the dead (so you are believing in death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that is ALL that was needed n order to pay for your salvation), thou shalt be saved“. It doesn’t say you “might” be saved, doesn’t say you “hopefully” will be saved. God said “I WILL save you” if you confess with your mouth, and if you believe in your heart. If you believe this I’d like to help you form a prayer. I’d like to help you pray right now and ask Jesus Christ to save you; confess with your mouth, if you truly believe in your heart, what you’ve heard from the Bible. Simply repeat after me: Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I deserve to go to hell. Please forgive me of all my sin. Please give me eternal life. I’m not trusting in myself, I’m only trusting in you. Amen. https://veritybaptist.com/the-bible-way-to-heaven-2/ 7 Likes |
Religion / How You Can Know For Sure That You Will Go To Heaven When You Die by alBHAGDADI: 6:01am On Aug 30, 2020 |
Hi, I would like to ask you some questions: Do you know if you were to die today if you would go to Heaven, or hell, or maybe you are not sure or you have never even thought about it. Maybe you will say “I don’t know” or “I hope I would go to Heaven but I am not 100% sure”. The reason why I asked is because the Bible says in 1 John 5:13: “These things have I written unto you” – referring to the word of God, the verse goes on “that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life”. According to this verse one of the reasons that the Bible was written is so that we could know that we have eternal life. The verse ends “and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God”. Maybe you would say “Well, I think I would go to Heaven”. The question I have for you is “What gives you that assurance that you are on your way to Heaven?”, “What give you that confidence?”, “What are you trusting to get you to Heaven?” Maybe you would say: “Well, I am just doing my best. I’m trying to follow Jesus and live by the way God would like me to live”. The last question I have for you is this: “Do you believe there is anything you could do, any sin you could potentially commit that would cause you to not go to Heaven, that would cause you to lose your salvation?”.. The Bible says you can be 100% sure you are on your way to Heaven. And it has nothing to do with how good of a person you are, or how you live your life, or how religious you are. I would like to share with you from the Bible how you can have the confidence that you are on your way to Heaven. In Romans 3:10 the Bible says “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” That first part of the word “righteous” is “right”. Someone who is righteous is someone who always does right or is without wrong. A word that you and I might use would be “perfect”. And what this verse is saying is that “there is none righteous“, or we could say “there is none perfect, no, not one“. I’m sure you would agree with the fact that we are not perfect, we all make mistakes. In Romans 3:23 the Bible goes to not only say that we are not perfect, but it is says this: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;“. 1 John 3:4 defines the word sin as “the transgression of the law“. When we transgress God’s law, or when we break God’s law – we’ve sinned. And here the Bible says “For all have sinned”. That word “all” – that means “everybody”: I’ve sinned, you’ve sinned. Now the reason that I bring these two verses up, that “there is none righteous” and that we are “all sinners” is because in Romans 6:23 the Bible says this: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. The first part of this verse says “The wages of sin is death”. The word “wages” means “payment”. It’s what I earn. If I go work at a fast-food restaurant they probably are going to start me off at a minimum wage. Now when I work what I earn is money, but when I sin what I earn is death: “the wages of sin is death“. In Revelation 20:14 the Bible says this about death: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire“. Now the “lake of fire” is the place of torment, where people are tormented day and night in fire and brimstone and where people pay for their sins (Revelation 20:10). And it says: “ This is the second death“. Have you ever heard of a “second death” before? The second death, according to this verse, is the lake of fire. It says they “were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death“. So see, when someone dies physically, that’s just the initial death, or the first death, but when someone then is cast into the lake of fire – the experience the second death. In Revelation 20:15 the Bible says this: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire”. In Revelation 21:8 God actually gives us a list of who is going to the lake of fire. And notice what He says: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters” – now, so far it’s a pretty bad list – murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters. Most people would think “Oh yeah, murderer is going to go to hell”. But at the end of the list he says this: “and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”. Have you ever told a lie before? Romans 3:4 says “let God be true, but every man a liar”. The point that God is trying to make when He gives us this list of sins that would send you to hell and He says “abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters”, and then at the end of this list He adds sin that we’ve all committed, which is telling a lie. The point that God is trying to make is that there is none righteous, that we are all sinners, and although you maybe haven’t killed anyone, you’ve at least told a lie before. James 2:10 kind of brings this thought together. It says: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all“. If you were able to keep the entire law, and all you did was to offend in one point, you made one mistake, you told one lie, the Bible says “he is guilty of all”. And here is what we need to understand: no matter how good of a person you are you are still a sinner, we are all sinners, and our sin has a payment which is death, which is hell. And it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are or how religious you are, because it doesn’t undo the fact that you are a sinner. I like to use an illustration of an individual that robs a car, and let’s say they get rid of the car, they part it out, they sell it, they get arrested and they stand before the judge. If they are going to say to that judge: “From now on I am not going to steal cars, from now on I’m going to live a good life, from now on I’m going to help little old ladies to cross the street”. Do you think that judge would say to that individual “Okay, you are free to go”. Well, the answer to this is “no”. Why? Because they’ve already stolen a car, they’ve already broken the law. It doesn’t matter how many good things they do after that – they’ve already broken the law. And it’s the same with us. It doesn’t matter how much I go to church, or how good of a person I try to be, and we should all try to live a good life, but I’ve already broken the God’s law, I’m already a sinner. And we are ALL condemned to hell. Romans 6:23 again says “For the wages of sin is death“. Now that’s the bad news. The bad news is this: I’m a sinner, and you are a sinner. And our sin has condemned us to hell. But that’s not the end of the verse: the good news is this “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. See, God has a gift He wants to give us. And that gift is eternal life, and it’s through Jesus Christ. There is something you need to understand about the gift that God wants to give you. In Ephesians 2:8 the Bible says this: “For by grace are ye saved through faith;” The word “grace” means “free”. Have you ever heard of a “grace period”? Let’s say rent is due on the first, but they give you till the fifth to pay it. They call it a “grace period”. It’s free time. The word “grace” means you are getting something you did not earn, you do not deserve, it’s unmerited favor. And God says “For by grace” – He says “by the fact that I’m going to give you something you do not deserve, you didn’t earn it. He says “are ye saved“. You say “saved from what?“. Well, from hell. We don’t want to go there. He says “through faith“. The word “faith” means “to believe”. And it says: “and that not of yourselves“. He says if you are going to be saved, it is not going to be something that you produce, not something that you do. Here is why: “it is the gift of God:“. I like to use an illustration to help explain this verse. Let’s say I would go out and purchase a birthday gift for you. If I gave you the birthday gift and I said “here you go! Happy Birthday! And then I asked you to give me $30 because that is how much I paid for the gift – that would no longer be a gift, if you gave me money for it, because you would be purchasing it at that point. What if I said I am going to give you this free birthday gift, and you don’t have to give me any money for it, but you have to wash my car or you have to mow my loan? Well, if you were to do those things – that would no longer be a gift, because you are now working for it. A gift, by definition, is free. And you cannot be expected to pay, or earn, or work for a gift. Ephesians 2:9 says this: “not of works” – in reference to the gift. He says: “not of works, least any man should boast“. God does not expect us to work for a gift, God does not expect us to do anything for the gift. The gift is free. Sometimes people say “I was taught, and I was under the impression that salvation is not of works, but if you truly get saved then works will follow”. But in Romans 4:5 the Bible says this: “But to him that worketh not“. I want you to notice that it does not say “to him that workerth a little bit”, it says: “to him that worketh not”. This person did absolutely nothing. It says “ to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness”. So here we see an individual that did no works – it says they worked not, but they believed, they had faith – their faith is counted for righteousness. This verse is teaching us that it is possible for someone to believe and have no works. Sometimes people will say “well, what about repentance? Don’t we have to repent of our sins in order to be saved?” The word “repent”, if you study it out in the Scripture, simply means “to turn”, “to change direction”, or “to change your mind”. When someone turns from their sin God defines that as “works”. In Jonah 3:10 the Bible says this: “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way“. It is a good thing to turn from your evil ways, and it is a good thing to turn away from your sins, but God defines returning from your evil way as “works”. So we must understand that “turning from our evil ways”, “turning from our sins” can not be a part of salvation, because as soon as I do anything in order to be saved I’ve added works to salvation. Sometimes people will ask: “Well, didn’t Jesus teach on repenting? Didn’t John the Baptist teach on repenting?” But you got to understand what it is that they taught, because the word “repent”, like we’ve said, means to “change your mind”, or to “turn”. In Mark 1:15 the Bible says, about Jesus preaching: “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” So you notice in the preaching of Christ that if someone would to repent, what would come forth from that repentance is the fact that they would believe the gospel. In Matthew 21:32 Jesus comments on the preaching of John the Baptist, when he preached on repentance and He said this: “For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him“. So there He is looking at the Pharisees and saying “you did not believe him, the publicans and the harlots did believe him, and you did not repent afterward, that ye might believe him”. So what He is saying here is “you didn’t believe, but you should have repented and believed”. In Acts 19:4 the apostle Paul also comments on what it was that John the Baptist was preaching when he preached on repentance and the Bible says this: “Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus”. So it is very consistent in Scripture that when Jesus or John taught on repentance, what they were teaching was that people should “turn from unbelief” in order to believe on Jesus Christ. The example that I like to give is this: if someone is an atheist in order for them to be saved they have to stop being an atheist, they have to “turn” or “repent” from that belief of being an atheist, and believe on God and the Lord Jesus Christ. See we do believe that repentance could be a part of salvation in a sense that someone has to “turn from their unbelief” in order to be saved. But as soon as you turn from your evil way, you are not adding works to salvation. By the way, the phrase “repent of your sins” is not even found in the Scripture, because God does not expect us to repent of our sins in order to be saved. Salvation is not of works. If salvation was something that I earned, something that I worked for, then it would no longer be a gift. If I were to give you a gift, then I am the giver and you are the receiver, I can’t expect you to pay for the gift, I can’t expect you to do anything for it. But does that mean that it didn’t cost me anything? If I am giving you the gift – I paid for the gift, because I am the giver. The gift of God is exactly the same way. It doesn’t cost us anything and we don’t have to do anything in order to be saved, because we are the sinners. But it cost God something in order to be able to purchase our gift of salvation. Romans 5:8 says this: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world, – that is you and I – that he gave his only begotten Son – that is Jesus Christ – , that whosoever – that means anyone – believeth – that’s the faith – in him –that’s Jesus – should not perish, – that is means they won’t go to hell – but have everlasting life. See, the gospel is this: that the Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, that He lives a sinless life, He never sinned, that He was God in the flash, and He died not to pay for His own sin, because He had no sin, but He died to pay for our sins. Matthew 1:23 says: “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us“. Jesus was God in the flash and He dies on the cross to pay for our sins. The Bible says that He was buried. The books of Acts tells us that His soul went down to hell for three days and three nights, and He resurrected from the grave. That was the payment for our sin. And He did that to give us everlasting life, just as the last two words in John 3:16 say. John 3:15 is very similar to John 3:16, it says “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life”. The word “eternal” means “it will last forever”. The word “everlasting” means “it will never end”. And what God is saying here that He wants to give us the life that will last forever, life that will never end. John 3:36 says “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life”. That word “hath” means “you have it”, you “possess it”. So it’s not something you are going to get in the future, but it’s something you have the moment you believe. What if God would give you eternal or everlasting life, starting today? How long will it last for? When will it end? The answer to this is NEVER. It will never end, it will last forever, it’s life without end. I would like to ask you a question: what of God were to give you everlasting life and let’s say, you were to do something terrible, like, for example, walk in a bank, rob the bank and kill somebody. Or let’s say you were to do something horrible, like taking your own life? Do you believe that God would then take away your everlasting life?.. Here is the thing: if God takes away your everlasting life, then it didn’t last forever. He cannot take it away – that’s what makes it everlasting life. Titus 1:2 says this: “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began”. See, God can not lie – that is our hope of eternal life. It is a valid questions, when people ask “What if I commit some horrible sin in the future?“. Here is what you have to understand: when Jesus forgives your sins – He forgives ALL of your sins: your past sins, your present sins, and all the sins you are going to perform in the future. He has already paid for those sins – that is how He can guarantee you everlasting life. In John 10:28-29 Jesus Christ is saying this: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand“. See, once you are saved, the Bible says, that “no man” is able to pluck you out of your Father’s hand, no one is able to pluck you out of the hands of Jesus Christ, and you will never perish, because you have eternal life. Sometimes people say: “Well, aren’t you telling people that once they are saved they can do whatever they want, aren’t you, basically, saying that there are no consequences for their sin?” And we are not saying that at all! See, when you get saved, the Bible says, you enter into relationships with God: He becomes your Father. John 1:12 says: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”. And our Heavenly Father disciplines us when we sin. He doesn’t take away our salvation, but He does discipline us. Continue below... 13 Likes |
