esident Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with those who lost their lives on Tuesday when the Air Force accidentally dropped a bomb on Rann, a civilian community in Borno. In his reaction via his Twitter account, President Buhari said the Federal Government will support the Borno government in handling the situation. He said, “I received with regret news that the Air Force, working to mop up Boko Haram insurgents, accidentally bombed a civilian community in Rann, Borno State. “I sympathise with the families of the dead, and with the injured, and the Government and people of Borno State. “The Federal Government will fully support the Borno State Government in dealing with the situation and attending to the victims.” President Buhari also pleads for calm, even as he prays God to grant repose to the souls of the dead. http://ynaija.com/buhari-reacts-to-military-jet-strike-on-civilian-community/ |

When they acquired drones, we told them they wouldn't be able to manage them. ![]() But come oo Just when a probe of the 250 million Naira pocketed by Secretary to the federal government, Mr. Babachir, is about to start Babachir said he used 250 million Naira to buy cutlass to cut grass at this IDP camp. Nigerians screamed. But now that the airforce has gone there to bomb and erase any evidence, Buhari and his secretary should be held responsible |
The Army said a fighter jet had misfired and shot some humanitarian aid workers of the International Committee of Red Cross and the Medicines Sans Frontiers, and some civilians in Kala Balge in Borno during an operation. The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj.-Gen. Lucky Irabor, on Tuesday in Maiduguri said, “This morning, we received a report about the gathering of Boko Haram terrorists around Kala Balge area of Maiduguri. “I coordinated and I directed that the air component of the operation should go and address the problem. “Unfortunately, the strike was conducted but it turned out that other civilians were somewhere around the area and they were affected. “So far, it is a little bit disturbing; death has occurred. There are casualties; there were deaths and injuries but on the actual number of casualties, we would get back to you later. “I am yet to get the number of casualties of civilians killed, but two soldiers were also affected. “Some humanitarian staff of Medicines Sans Frontiers and some staff of International Committee of Red Cross were also affected. “We are sending helicopters to evacuate those that were critically wounded, including our wounded soldiers.” NAN http://punchng.com/military-fighter-jet-shoots-kills-civilians-borno/ |

THE Coalition of Yoruba Youths, CYY, yesterday stormed the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, urging it to conduct thorough investigation on the former embattled First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan before smearing her name. Stagging a peaceful protest at the Lagos office of the EFCC in Ikoyi, Lagos, the Yoruba group said the campaign of calumny against the former First Lady was uncalled for.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/01/corruption-stop-harrassing-mrs-jonathan-yoruba-youths-tell-efcc/

BOKOHARAM IS RIGHT........ Sounding weird right?....That is the reality to a certain extent. Bokoharam is an islamic extremist group out solely for a full fledged violent prosecution of Jihad. Now Jihad simply means evangelism. When the Jehova witness group storm your house, they are on a christian jihad. What prompts evangelism is when you are in the midst of people you term unbelievers. Now the clean breast of the matter is that Christians also have their own form of violent evangelism(Jihad). The moment the pastor or any other Christian group storm the village shrine in a commando-style to set it ablaze, that is a Jihad against the owner(s) of the shrine. Why do we cry foul when Bokoharam set churches ablaze and kill worshipers in the North when we down here are persecuting traditional believers terming them pagans? If you don't want me to come for your dog then don't kill my cat. If you quote from your bible on the reason you set shrines ablaze, bokoharam will also quote from their Koran why they must behead Christians and destroy their churches. Judaism adherents will also quote from their Torah on why they should kill both Muslims and Christians. Hindus will also refer to their holy book and be wrecking havoc. Buddhist will also not be left out. If all these should take place then we will be having a hell here on earth courtesy of our collective misdeeds. Religion should not be a segregational tool but a tool for harmonization. Lets apply restraint and endeavor not to impose the violent aspect(s) of our doctrine on others. The world is not all about your religious beliefs hence the need to acknowledge the existence of other beliefs. |
