Stephanie75: Good morning,
So when we got to Ikoyi passport office yesterday, we went straight to the servicom unit. I went with my husband and baby (they both just applied for the first time). We were directed to an office for documents checkv. We met a lady who requested to see the payment receipts from our bank or the debit alert.
1. The documents I submitted for change of name were: a) Printed application form b) Payment receipt c) Appointment slip d) Change of name form (they gave me a copy, asked me to make my copy and return theirs) e) Applicant verification form (they gave me a copy, asked me to make my copy and return theirs) f) Handwritten application letter for change of name g) Marriage certificate h) Court affidavit for change of name i) Newspaper publication j) NIN k) International passport data page l) Husband's International passport data page (they requested for his payment receipt because he just applied and has no International passport yet) m) Husband's NIN n) 2 Passport photographs
2. For my 10 months old baby:
a) Printed application form b) Payment receipt c) Appointment slip d) Applicant verification form e). Handwritten letter of consent from both parents (with their passport photographs attached) f) Both parents' International passport data page (we submitted our payment receipt instead) g) Both parents' NIN h) Parents' marriage certificate i) Birth certificate j) NIN k) 2 passport photographs
3. My husband (fresh application) submitted:
) Printed application form b) Payment receipt c) Appointment slip d) Applicant verification form e) NIN f) Birth Certificate g) Local Government of Origin h) Guarantor's form as well as a copy of his NIN and International passport data page i) 2 passport photographs
After checking our documents, she signed on them and directed us to another office where a file was opened for my husband and baby. They (husband and baby) took their files and went in for capturing.
I was directed to a different office where a file was opened for me and signed. My file was given to me and I was directed to an office for my capturing. It took less than 15 minutes for me to capture.
My husband and baby's capturing took about 40 minutes and we were done.
The process was seamless. Please how much is change of name and did you DIY? |

Kells1410: Good day everyone... I did my capturing early July at Alausa office and I haven't collected my passport yet.
Does this mean it is ready for collection now? Wow....this is an improvement from NIS, it should mean your passport is ready for collection. I just checked mine too, I captured June 1

dvdami: To God be the glory.
I was able to pick up my passport today from Alausa NIS.
It was a less stressful exercise compared to the day I captured.
I couldn't make it on Thursday, so I decided to pickup today.
Timeline:
Captured - June 9.
Passport Issued - Sept 16
Picked up - October 7.
The entire process was DIY. Thanks to all who provided the valuable info on this thread.
May we all reach our goals. Congratulations.... I will also check if I can pick up on Monday |

DFreeze: Hi mate, trust you're doing good. For EE, NOCs of type C will not add any point to your CRS score, I'm afraid. That being mentioned, the best you could give yourself is to max your IELTS as even if you get the LRSW - 8777 scores, you'll loose 12 points unlike when hit the max of 8.5,8.0,7.5,7.5.
I hope this helps. All the best. Thanks sir I thought I won't be able to apply at all because my skill is not even in demand currently. I will work more on getting good IELTS |

Thanks, this is the issue I have now
I want to start my EE journey next year, I have HND and ND in Public Administration. I'm assured that I can claim 3years work experience with a paid volunteer work of 7months in an health related NGO as data entry officer, NYSC school teaching and my current work which is customer service related- NOC 6552 captures this perfectly.
I'm confused at the point because 6552 is skill C and I think this can't apply for express entry |
