In the bible ,it was recorded that jesus in the company of his mother and foster father was a regular and active participant in the jewish synagogue activities especially on the sabath.

Based on our understanding of religion,its relevance and its applications then what is Jesus religion because 'christians' are expected to follow his footsteps'

I will advise you to take the following steps:

first, try booting with an external monitor connected if available and see if it exhibits the same symptoms.  Also check you have no cd in the drive or usb plugged in.  If this cures it go into the bios setup and change the boot order to hard disk first.

Second, how old is your laptop? If it is older than 4 years, I would guess that the screen is going bad.

When the screen does not come on, can you look VERY closely at it and see if maybe there is a dim image on the screen?  If so, your backlight inverter has gone out.

I wonder why we spend so much mental energy and bother ourselves trying to approach an issue biblically?

We seem to have been relegated mentally because i don't see the reason why instead of bugging our thinking faculties with inventions like in the japanese and even in india today,we waste our time dwelling on a non-issue about heaven(just an english word)-- which is simply a mental situation of the mind.

May be i should make myself clearer luv.

First you need to understand the jewish religion,customs and traditions even before christ came into existence.

There was problem in israel(i mean socio-political and socio-economic problem) and the poor were most hit.

There was need for urgent solution, i mean a mass revolution just like the case in nigeria but who is going to start it.

Secondly,israel as at that time is a pure religious country and the laws and statutes are based on religion with the king as a president and council of elders(the pharisees,elders,etc).

Even at winter when the weather is cloudy,it was believed that God himself has come down on earth and that was the time christ was acclaimed to be born.

There is nothing like atheism in my approach,all we need to understand is the true  interpretation of the  literature of the bible which the advanced world is not ready and will never reveal to you because you have been relegated to an inferior human being mentally before them and it is to their own advantage.

Every sunday,you find the so-called personnel managers,Bank managers,company ceo's,politicians, etc in churches in their flowing gowns(pharisees of the old).

Are these not the same so-called CHRISTIANS that caused and is still causing havoc within the system.

The personnel managers in nigeria will openly deprive you of the position you deserve after an interview,the bank managers conniving with money launderer's and rogues to destroy the image of nigeria home and abroad or the teacher/lecturer that is ready to beef up the score of a student in exchange for money or sex.

So please tell me where is the christian in nigeria?Or the church pastor that gives you the impression that he is the one responsible for your life and at the slightest opportunity will sleep with your wife.

Fela in his life time will confront you and tell you the truth in your face but i doubt how many christians today can do that and by the way how many 'christians' today in nigeria are social critics?

Tell a christian to swear by the gods and you will be surprised to hear that i am a christian and i can't swear to the gods because of fear of the consequence but tell them to swear by the bible immediately they will respond because the know nothing is going to happen even if they just finished having sex with their fellow brother's wife.

Sound strange but come to think of it,before jesus Christ was born truth,justice,understanding,obedience,love,equality,etc which formed the pinnacles of His crusade were standards of behaviour that man propounded to regulate his activities within his society.

So in a sense,a christian is apparently a person who has lost the definition of what is right,just and proper and wants to be educated or re-educated by any human being with a good conscience.

Please i would like to know from you the difference between the meaning of Allah in the arabic tradition as recorded in the Quran and Olorun(or Oluwa) in the yoruba tradition as recorded in oral tradition of the yorubas?

But we forgot one thing:we were once a people governed by our own internally designed laws within an organised society.Secondly,we recognised and we believe in the presence of a supernatural being(God) within our society which is manifested in various forms in our culture.

Historically speaking,the Israelites on various occasion left their own traditional ways and religion and practiced
foreign religions which they have little or no knowledge about and they were purnished for it untill they revert to their native law and custom and religion.

In a sense i seem to believe that our present 'problems' is not economic(corruption) or political as widely advertised daily in the various screamy headlines in nigerian newspapers,but because we have unknowingly left our natural ways which God gave us(NOT CHURCH) and right now we are confused because we are practising(FOREIGN RELIGIONS) which we KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

Unfortunately,it may take us a corresponding number of years we've spent practising foreign religion to recover even if we decide we have sinned and want to go back to our original ways.
