You would have simply told her you don't have any money to give her, instead of telling her to meet up (I'm suspecting this your "meet-up" implies sex*) before you give her the 100k .
Didn't even have smashing in mind, not saying if it came up I wouldn't, but did you expect me to just transfer 100k like that without seeing and discussing terms? Someone that I've only hung out with once and since then it's just money request. Honestly I would have given her if we discussed and I was sure she would pay that's why I never said no.

GoodHardDick:
OP, you gave her 10k? angry you're a SIMP!!!
why on earth would you give her that money??

You just met an international Olosho plus a coded runz girl who wanted to turn you into her maga. She wanted to use you and cash out and after which she'll dump you and move on to the next available guy to continue the billing angry angry

You should know 99.9% of Nigeria girls are thieves and so full of entitlement mentality. They feel men MUST give them money just because he simply said ''hi'' to them. Imagine the idiot wanted to reap where she did not sow angry

This is why I advised every guy out there to become a red piller immediately, so as to avoid being manipulated and controlled by these ladies. This is a new year and no guy is expected to simp around. angry
Mehn, my mistake oo because my friend encouraged me I thought I was helping someone in need not knowing its a set up for further billing. Worst part is she was talking about the money like it was for dash. Not even saying if she will pay back or when.

RomanceLadies Please Stop Requesting For Money From Non Boyfriends by AlexanderOkey(op): 8:55pm On Jan 13, 2022
Hey guys, i'm not writing to mock anyone but I need to know if I was wrong in my actions.

Ladies should really stop asking for money from guys who aren't their boyfriends/husbands/business partners or who they don't intend to sleep with. At least nothing above 5-10k lets not confuse ourselves.

So I met this lady through my colleague at the office. All three of us hung out the first time and we exchanged numbers and started chatting on whatsapp. Since then we haven't seen as i'm always busy and most times I don't really follow up as I don't really have time. But we were always chatting. Some weeks after we met she called me that she needed my help and was broke. I called my friend to tell him about it and he asked me to send her some money if my mind was okay with it. The next day I sent her 10k with no strings attached. I just saw it as a friend helping another friend out. This was about two months ago.

Fast forward yesterday, this same girl called me that she needed my help urgently. I asked the problem and she said her rent had expired and she needed money. Asked how much and she said 300k. I told her I didn't have that much but she said I can help out with like 100k. I just paused like this girl really looks at me like a maga. She didn't even mention it as a loan. Secondly I don't even loan girls money because of my experience with them. If i can afford it I give, if I cannot afford it I tell them I don't have rather than loan them and time to pay it will become common 100k.

I told her to meet up and just this morning I woke up to list of insults from this girl saying how i'm just like every other guy and we all want the same thing because she asked me for money. I go so upset and insulted her back and blocked immediately but I really want to know from other guys, is that how you people dash out 100k to your female friends? Am I the odd one out? And im not an angel, if given the chance yes I wanted to smash before giving that 100k because I know she won't pay back as a loan.

This is someone that has never even bought me N100 airtime before. Even a happy birthday wish on my birthday I didn't get. No positive impact, nothing at all.

Girls that request for money from guys without wanting to give anything do they think that's how we give out money to our fellow guys? As a guy I know the friends I can call if I need 100k and it will be a loan not even as gift. Secondly they will give me because they know what I have done for them and future business we will still do. Most guys I know as hi, hi, friends will simply tell me they don't have if I ask because they have never gained anything from me. Nothing goes for nothing in this world honestly even between us guys so why do you people feel bad when a guy asks for something in return?

I stand to be corrected though.
TV/MoviesRe: Was Toke Makinwa The Reason Gulder Ultimate Search Flopped In 2021? by AlexanderOkey: 5:02pm On Jan 01, 2022
Yes, but we can't heap all the blame on Toke.

I think some other reasons played a part

The show has not changed much but it's audience has changed. The script should have been re-written to make the show 24hrs with a dedicated channel. There should be other activities apart from the daily tasks. The organizers should have chosen a beach or island location and allowed them bonfire parties where they interact socially with enjoyment like big brother Saturday party. This would have helped build a connection with the audience allowing them know the fun sides of their favorite contestant. Some of the contestants would start building relationships and this will pull in more viewers.

If a female anchor must be used for equality sake Kate Henshaw is even a better pick. She's into the fitness world and is liked by many. There are many other female anchors that would have better suited the program than Toke.

Well.. free lancers working for foreigners have trails of payments and working up N22m sitting balance as a free lancer, you are very well grounded affiliated with various organizations and must have trusted mentors who can step up. currency exchange would have had other exchangers flood the station with calls even from Abuja and police headquarters.. legit monies have trails. Fraud has made N22m look like change, earning it legally is a lifetime for majority.
Are you seriously trying to justify this illegality? You are really looking for ways to blame the victims. It's people like you that make these things to keep happening until it happens to you. Your level of exposure makes you see N22m as such a big sum. I can tell you there are people that have that and more silently just walking around and doing their legit business working for foreigners. The internet has made the world small and open to opportunities. Don't close your mind. Broaden your mind my friend and don't justify evil. At least let the police call them to investigate the incident rather than blame the victims.

If Nigeria want to make their money stronger, they need to stop importing and start manufacturing to export

But the last time Buhari closed border to boost local production, some bigots said he is targeting a tribe.
You have spoken like an average Nigerian who like suffering.

Closing your border is the last step to self sufficiency. First of all you need to make sure there is enabling environment first in your country and all the requirements for production have been made available before you close borders. Things like Electricity, security and enabling tax scheme.

We all know these things aren't available. Farmers cannot go to farm any longer because of bandits and herdsmen. So we are not even producing food at the moment. Then the Government blocked the borders where we would have gotten alternatives.

Even the US doesn't completely block it's borders. If a quality item is produced cheaper in Nigeria people will have no reason to buy the foreign alternative and it's importers will stop importing it. As an economist I know this for sure and more.

CrimeRe: Why Do Nigerians Hate Paying Their Debt? by AlexanderOkey: 9:30am On Nov 05, 2021
Although some Nigerians don't like paying out of pure deceit that is not always the case.

When you have a failing economy, an economy growing backwards, loan default is only a ripple effect as people will borrow and invest in projects but those projects will likely fail because of the state of the Economy.

Even in the US, when there is a recession or economic downturn, loan default rate rises. The only difference is their government steps in to bail them out unlike Nigeria.
BusinessRe: I Owe A Microfinance Bank 600k, They Threaten To Jail Me, I Need Your Advice! by AlexanderOkey: 1:29pm On Oct 27, 2021
Firstly.

Loan is a civil case and not a criminal case. So far all the details you gave in the loan application was true and the loan was not obtained under false information or pretense then it remains a civil case.

Secondly, check the loan agreement letter you signed. It will help you know the limit they can go with the case.

If you have their account number, pay in the little you have occasionally no matter how little. Even if it's 10k.. why? Because effort to payback matters and even if they take you to court. The court will notice your commitment to payback even as the business has failed.

Be strong and God will help you, you're not the first to collect a loan for a business that failed. It will help shape you into a better businessman and give you experience to talk about when you finally become successful.

Goodluck
CareerRe: Never Date At Your Place Of Work by AlexanderOkey: 4:30pm On Apr 25, 2021
There are no rules to life and what doesn’t work for you might work for others.

I have dated at work and it was a very good experience

She was some level ahead of me earning 2-3 times my salary in her late 30’s, unmarried and I was in my late 20’s.

We acted like we didn’t know each other at the office and would meet after work and weekend. Some staff caught us on dates out of work and carried rumors but we didn’t give them any reason to validate their rumors.

I think maturity matters when dating at work. Your GF doesn’t seem to understand that your love love shouldn’t affect your work life. On your part try to avoid being too harsh on her at work. She is bound to react one way or the other.

Secondly don’t date within your department. Although she was ahead of me we weren’t in the same department so she doesn’t really have much business with me at work.
