What I said was,since the max budget can get a tokunbo,he should get it.there are many Nigerian used cars that only come out of their owners's garage once a while.if u see them,from experience u wld know.
Some are up for sale in some cases when owner wants to upgrade or gets a good offer or in need of cash for a project that might bring in more cash.the choice is left to whoever wants to buy.as per the Ford explorer,please what year was it?

I wonder why this govt prefers to rubbish hard work.Many pple have been working in CBN,rising thru the ranks expecting to become deputy and guvnor before their 35 years of acting service,with more experience of how the system works,then u bring a GM from diamond bank whom staff of CBN have been overseeing to become their head.this creates bad blood in any system and it negates the principles of hard work and fairness.Sarah alade rose thru the ranks in CBN from 1993,such positions at CBN shouldn't be about politics or favouritism.it's a very sensitive position that can make or Mar a whole nation's financial system.how would it have been if the chief of army staff was appointed from let's say halogen security or any other security outfit? Would it have made sense if a DIG of police was appointed from civil defence? There are many pple more qualified in the CBN fold who would do a better job than this woman.how I wish we had an independent Senate that would query such appointments.this is very sad.

That is the w204..like the w203,it's also a reliable car.all parts are very much available including the body kits upgrade.Benz are cars that you wld enjoy using naturally.provided it was not flooded.U just need to choose btw a regular or 4matic.once it's 4matic,suspension had to be modelled in a way to accommodate all wheel drive .some pple prefer sedans to suv's. It's a matter of choice.But u get the same kind of comfort in all Benz.do get one and enjoy..U won't regret it.I haven't seen anyone driving a Benz and praising Camry.

You can never compare a Benz to a Camry...pls don't make that mistake.
Since u use a Toyota corolla,u seem to be more at home with compact vehicles.so I'll recommend a Benz c class..w203 from year 2004 to 2007..make sure it's a clean title,don't bother buying Nigerian used,ur max budget can get u a very good tokunbo which if u r lucky,other than servicing and brake pad change,u might not need do anything more in the next 2yrs from date of purchase.there is no spare parts of this vehicle that is not available in the open market.both new and used.if it's 4matic,only suspension parts are quite expensive but they are very much available.I doubt u need the 4matic since ur corolla is 2 wheel drive.just stick with the regular or kompressor and you are good to go.

Kindly state the Benz model which part was not available and also furnish us with details of what and what was replaced or repaired for 1m..invoice and quotes wld be highly appreciated.

Yes I'm talking about the w211..the E320 and 350 come with v6 engines while the E500 or 550 comes with the v8 engine.if you are a speed person I'll recommend the v8..but if u just want sumtin to move around town with them u r ok with the v6.
Spares are readily available and maintenance is very affordable.I once used E320 2004 CD I..the way it moved,u won't even believe it was a diesel engine.sold it when I got a very good offer on a GL450.

Is low but I have used it around akute,lambs,alagbole,badagdry ,okoko,ijegun so I can confidently tell u that u r good to go.

I currently use. A c280,manual transmission.it's 6 speed..no regrets since .I hope I have been able to convince u.once u have made up it mind,contact and I wld also share with u contacts and locations of specialists around Lagos,Abuja and portharcourt.

Well,the price of shock absorbers and struts is qhy they try as much as possible to avoid potholes.dnt blame them..its not easy

1st thing u ought to have done is contact customer care.wouod have been able to understand better if we knew the excuse u were given.but until then,this is just one side of the story.

Principle of cooling system remain the same regardless of car model .If the radiator is bad ,just replace it instead of taking the huge risk that can cost you another engine !!! Repairing a bad radiator seemly look cheaper in the beginning but much more expensive in the long run .

Yes i agree the principles of cooling remain the same.but if u take a closer look models differ a lot.same kind of radiator for both manual and auto transmission but not the same activity.in a manual transmission vehicle,no provision for ATF coolant in the radiator.i took my time before having the radiator repaired.the same guy took his time to explain the process and he even told me that most of the said 'tokunbo' , '1st grade radiators are refurbished,resprayed and resold even with warranty! My search for a brand new radiator yielded no result.so i thot of it,if i buy a new tyre today and it punctured 2moro,wont i have the tyre patched instead of buyin a new one all cos of a tiny hole? And its not as if im goin for F1 with it anyway.
I knew how the radiator works.tiny cells that coolant passes through..once coolant cant go through easily when speed increases,overheating sets in..but once in traffic,the little coolant it delivers is enough as there is not much the engine is doing at idle speed.there was absolutely no risk involved.and it was pocket friendly.n

Well,it wasnt as if it was not also safe,it was also cheaper.i was using a 1996 toyota previa at that time.but let me just say i would recommend replacement in that case for 2000 models and above..how about that?

What engine type is your car, as in size, cylinder configuration? It may be a Mercedes Benz, but I still believe Audi has taken the reins from the three-pointed star.  Not many Mercedes came with AWD, unless you stepped up to an SUV. BMW still offer AWD in the 325 / 328 / 330 / 525 / 528 / 530i models, though mostly limited to Tourere. All Audi models, bar the A2, are available as AWD (Quattro).

I'd love to see your C-class perform against an Audi A4 Quattro in the wet, hehehe!  

AWD or Quattro,i can confidently tell u cannot match 4Matic...the mercedes. E class,C class,S class,Cls,Cla are few of the 4Matic sedans which u might wanna refer to as AWD..

I experienced this once.,i had to check fan,drive belt,water pump,radiator and condenser.i later discovered the cells in the radiator were blocked..i had the blocked cells flushed and cleaned and radiator was as good as new.
Note: the process was not flushing the radiator alone,it involved having the radiator cover removed and the cells flushed.it was not done in the car wash,it was done by one guy who deals only with radiators.

With ur complains,u dnt need a mechanic.u need an automobile ac expert and a panel beater.either the fuse to the rear ac control is faulty or the system is blocked the ac tech wkd let u know.as per faulty cable,im sure replacement are available in the open market.

Buy a benz..thank me later.

Run a scan..the problem is electrical not mechanical.

I personally recommend transmission fluid to be replaced and transmissuon serviced at least once a year

Before your mechanic replaces your shocks,u can request he checks your brake discs.caliper ,ball joints and thyroids to determine their integrity .replace if need arise and u are good to go.
