Celebrities / Today I Step Into The Fourth Floor As I Mark My 40th Birthday With New Images by AlexReports(m): 10:57am On Aug 31, 2023
....It feels good to finally enter the fourth floor (forth realm of life).

Indeed life they say, begins at 40, and mine is not exception.

I have cheated death three times in my life, to see another phase of my life today. There ought to have been more to say or write about, but it is a moment of sober reflection and thanksgiving.

_In my life, challenges have always been a stepping stone to my next level. It propels me forward, as I rally my struggles through the fires of adversity. I only thank God for the gift of life._
_His biblical promise of 'he that finds a wife and fulfilment, justifies the impact of good friends around._

My life story is not the proverbial 'born with golden spoon' tale but it is a case of cat with nine lives that dines fearlessly in the congregation of affluence, which stamped the name 'FINISHWORK.'

Celebrate and thank God for me today, as I have another chance in life to mark my 40th Birthday today, 31st August, 2023.

🎂 *{{Happy Birthday To Me}}* 🎂

Politics / Without Winning FCT, A President Cannot Be Legally Declared — Ozoani by AlexReports(m): 9:45pm On Mar 01, 2023
A senior advocate of Nigeria, Emeka Ozoani (SAN) on Tuesday evening, said a candidate cannot legally and constitutionally be declared the winner of the presidential Election if he or she fails to win the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Any presidential candidate who did not win Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, cannot legally and constitutionally be declared the winner of the presidential Election. The only available path to INEC is to call for a fresh nomination.

“Section 133(b), last paragraph of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended attests to this,” the SAN said.

A critical analysis of Section 133(b) of the 1999 Constitution as amended on the declaration of a winner in a presidential election said “the only interpretation to be founded on Section 133 (b) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended is to the effect that for a candidate to be qualified to the office of the president, ‘he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all states in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja but where the only candidates fail to be elected in accordance with this section, then there shall be fresh nominations’.

“The interpretation of and is in issue. We submit that the word, ‘AND’ means ‘Conj’, ‘in addition’, ‘together with’, ‘plus’. See Webster’s Universal Dictionary and thesaurus, Bedded and Grosset, P. 31. Also, ‘AND’ means, ‘generally, a cumulative sense, requiring the fulfillment of all the conditions that it joins together and herein, it is the antithesis of ‘OR’. See Stroud’s judicial dictionary of words and phrases, Seventh edition, VOL. 1, Daniel Greenberg, London Sweet and Maxwell, 2006, P 128

“In BUHARI V INEC, (2008) 19 NWLR (PT 1120) P, 246 at 368, paras A-D, the Supreme court, In interpreting section 146 of the Electoral Act, 2006 held that the word ‘AND’ is CONJUCTIVE and not DISJUNCTIVE like ‘OR’. See also NDOMA-EGBA v CHUKWUOGOR (2004) 6 NWLR (PT 969)382.

“Further, the word ‘AND’ in SECTION 135(1) OF THE ELECTORAL ACT, 2002, the Court of Appeal, per Salami, J.C.A (as he then was) in YUSUF v OBASANJO (2005) 18 NWLR (PT. 956) 96 AT 178 held that the word ‘AND’ should be read CONJUNCTIVELY and not DISJUNCTIVELY. See also, SASEGBON’S JUDICIAL DICTIONARY OF NIGERIAN LAW. VOL. 1, P. 309. The Federal Capital Territory Abuja is one of the states of the Federation by Section 299 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

“Therein, it is stated,’ the provisions of this constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the states of the Federation and accordingly…’ In BABA-PANYA V PRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC of NIGERIA (2018) 15 NWLR (pt 1643) 395, the court of appeal, per Akomolafe- Wilson, J.C.A, held that ‘by virtue of Section 299 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, IS A STATE.

“Also, in OKOYODE v F.C.D.A., (2005) VOL. 27 WRN, P. 97, the Court of Appeal, per ALAGOA, J.C.A at p. 149, lines 40- 45, held inter alia, ‘Section 299 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, has clear and unambiguous provisions to the effect that the Federal Capital Territory, ABUJA IS IN LAW A STATE,” Ozoani added.

Warriors' Hangout is specifically designed for people with sickle cell disease, their families, and caregivers. Through Warriors Hangout, those affected by sickle cell disease have access to a community of peers who can provide much-needed support and understanding.

The Valentine's Day special edition of The Warriors Hangout 2.0, which took place on February 18, 2023, at a Wingist restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja, was a success because sickle cell warriors from the maiden edition was able to reunite despite the current difficult economic situation in Nigeria due to scarcity of cash, this time inviting new sickle cell patients.

It was a lovely occasion, moderated by Miss Anna Ochigbo and featuring Dr. Beckley Emmanuel, a physician who also happens to have sickle cell disease.

There were several topics covered, including different types of sickle cell crises, how to prevent and handle each one, depression and suicidal thoughts by sickle cell warriors, as well as drug addiction. In addition to the conversation, there were also questions and answers, food and drink, music, games, and prizes. Everyone who attended the event learned more about the illness and their role in taking control of their own lives.

Among the sponsors who made this event possible were Amstel Malta, Wingist Foundation, Precious HMO, Rilex Imagery, Film Avenue, and KFA Kitchen. The event could not have happened without their kind generosity.

In what appears to be a disapproval of domestic animals to the return of APC to power, a goat has been sighted in a viral video tearing to shreds to campaign poster of the party's presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Though the location is not known, a voice was heard speaking in Yoruba language calling the attention of another person.

APC has been in power since 2015 and has been accused of presiding over the highest level of insecurity and economic downturn in the country.

Nigeria will on Saturday Feb. 25 embark on a presidential election in which citizens are expected to choose among the three major candidates of His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Labour Party’s Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu of the APC.
