Few weeks ago, Big Church Foundation donated different items to five different orphanage homes in Accra ahead of their Easter Charity Match, to raise awareness, support and so much more for these orphans. The foundation fulfilled its promise by inviting celebrities from Ghana and Nigeria to engage each other on the field of play to entertain the kids.

Dr. Olakunle Churchill, Nigeria\'s Rnb Star Praiz, Ruggedman and a host of other celebrities played for the Nigeria team while Elikem Kumordzi, TooSweet Annan, Enoch Atakorah, Selly Galley, Luckie Lawson, James Gardiner, Alexander Osei, Peter Ritchie and few other dazzled on the Ghana line up in a game that was powered by Big Church Foundation to excite and celebrate with less privileged orphanage children.  The highly entertaining match saw the Nigerian side beating the Ghana team 12 - 10 goals to emerge victorious at Easter Charity Match in Accra.

As the countdown continues to the much anticipated Legendary Football Match slated for Month end in Lagos, Kanu Heart Foundation has commended Big Church Foundation their support following a collective partnership meeting held few days ago. The charity match is attracting high profile ex- internationals in around Africa including Abedi Pele, George Weah, Diouf, Drogba, Okacha and a host of others.

Kanu Nwankwo whose foundation is also supported by Tony Elemelu Foundation further thanked Olakunle Churchill on Instagram for his posts and other efforts towards the successful hosting of the Legendary Football match.

Big Church Foundation Foundation And Staff Visit Osu Children Homes Ahead Of Easter Charity Football In Accra (Photos)

Yesterday in Accra Ghana, The Osu children homes was  visited by The Big Church Foundation Chairman Dr Olakunle Churchill and the Ambassador For Mother/Children and Other staff members to make donations in cash/gifts for the children ahead of the Easter All Stars Charity Football Match to entertain the less privileged. 

The novelty match will take place Monday 17th April, 2017 at Lizzy Sports Centre Near A/C Mall East Legon -Accra. The event is said to parade the finest and talented stars from across the music and movie industry.

It was indeed an amazing and colourful event held in Abuja over the weekend as the Northern Nigeria Peace award took centre stage. The 2017 edition of the honour attracted several dignitaries including the Kano State Governor, though represented. The event was designed to celebrate Northern peace icon and agents of change that have impacted positively towards empowering victims of crisis and supporting peace campaigns.

Amongst notable award recognitions of the night was Big Church Foundation, a charity and empowerment NGO owned by Dr. Olakunle Churchill. ‎The foundation was honoured for its several charity supports in the North like Bauchi, Benue, Kano, Gombe and recently in Kaduna, during the KADA River Massacre in Southern Kaduna. The foundation was also in the news days ago for paying off the house rent debt of an orphanage in Nassarawa state.

Other personalities and individuals that were honoured were Alhaji Ibrahim Comassie, Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) ,Amb. Hussaini Coomasie, a veteran Nollywood actor, Ali Nuhu, veteran TV presenter Amb. Rachel Bakam, Queen Oluchi Madubuko, Comedian Ayuba etc. Also honoured though received by her mother was Chichi Mbagwu, the reigning Face of Unity Nigeria Queen who bagged first Class in United Kingdom. She was awarded for her Academic Excellence haven done some projects in the north.

Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, the project director explained that although there were a lot of patriotic men and women who have contributed meaningfully in the peace building project in the North, it was imperative to honour 'outstanding' ones. According to him, there are some Nigerians also listed for the awards, who are not from the North by birth. He, however, noted that they have contributed in one way or the other, in the spirit of a united Nigeria, toward the peace and development of the region.

It was indeed a memorable day for Media PR and head secretary of Amity Global Network, Esther Ezenwoye as she took time off to hangout the beach with the cousin brother yesterday.  The diligent serving NYSC member had moments of fun with a boat ride with friends to likely ease up the harsh reality of the day to day stress that accompanies her job.

Esther who was quite excited over the pleasure play with the Marine Engineer, Mr Samuel and friends buttressed the saying that " All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". They had picture shots and little chops ‎as the cold weathered breeze blows through. She appreciated the cousin for the time with him and wished her boss was disposed to have such pleasurable plays with them off his work.

Esther Ezenwoye is expected to resume work fully on Monday at her Lagos office while she storms Abuja by Wednesday for her NYSC CDS.

Nigeria's famous sports ambassador and anchor of Africa's fast rising Cable network - ARISE TV, John Fashanu earlier today received the publisher of ATTENTION Magazine at his gigantic apartment. Fashanu whose story on his recent doctorate honours was featured on the blue impression edition, congratulated the Alex Nwankwo for the quality and rich content publication.

Award winning Nigerian carrier, Dana Air has bagged the prestigious Leadership Brand of the year award, held recently at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Speaking at the conference themed: THE RICE ECONOMY,  the Chairman of Leadership Group Mr Sam Nda – Isaiah said, ‘ Leadership Conference and Awards is a yearly event organized to celebrate individuals and corporate organizations who have shown distinction in their different areas  like governors, bankers, administrators, businessmen, companies and youth  who have also shown that they are not limited by the disquieting recession.’’

On the recently released AIB report, he said we have received the report and I am happy to tell you that the recommendations have been implemented since 2013.  We have also passed rigorous audits conducted by a couple credible organizations including the Flight Safety Group – The foreign partners of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and the International Air Transport Association.

In 2014 we absorbed over 45 Nigerian Pilots and invested heavily in their training.  Our Director of Flight Operations is a Nigerian with over 27 years experience and our Accountable Manager is also a Nigerian with over 30 years experience in aircraft maintenance, fleet management , quality and safety , and network planning. We have retooled a lot from our fuel audits to engineering and crewing. Our safety strategies are novel and world-class and our commitment to the safety and comfort of our guests is unwavering.  

We have gone beyond the recommendations and we set an enviable standard that we review on a daily basis. Let me also mention that last year, in furtherance of our efforts to continue to recruit qualified Nigerian Pilots, we turned down the employment of some Pilots who didn’t meet the standards we have set even after their training.  The investment in their training didn’t really matter to us but the standard that we have set.”

According to the organizers, Dana Air got the award for  successfully pulling through the harsh operating environment, its consistency, and creating a brand synonymous with customer satisfaction in the ever -challenging aviation sector. 

Meanwhile the airline says it has introduced a special fare for corp. members and students as part of its broad corporate social responsibility and to complement the efforts of their parents and the government in this regard.


According to the airline, to take advantage of the hugely discounted fare, all the students and corp members need to do is get the Naija Green Card, send an email to contact@flydanaair.comand reservations@flydanaair.com stating their the date of travel, route and preferred flight time at least 24 hours before departure and its done. The airline said it is committed to helping the Government, youth and students to achieve their dreams of a greater tomorrow.

Following the long heated social media exposed marriage crisis of controversial actress Tonto Dikeh and her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill,  the media that interviewed them, has further travelled to Ghana over references from the couple in their interviews. Tonto Dikeh claimed she suffered domestic violence at home and subsequently ran to the Nigerian Embassy in Ghana naked for safety.
