Federal Fire Service Agency Lauds Churchill For Donating High Budget Ambulance


The Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Engr Anebi Garba Joseph has lauded the gestures of Big Church Foundation after the donation of a Fire Emergency Ambulance. The presentation of the materials was done by president of the foundation, Dr. Olakunle Churchill Oladunni to the Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service. 

 Anebi said the gesture by the foundation remains historic since the service was established in 1901 by the British colonial regime as a unit within the Lagos Police Service Department to prevent and combat fire outbreaks in the Government Reserved Areas of Lagos Colony. The service comptroller found the gesture profound and reiterated that, “Our men shall continue to proceed to zones others can’t dare to rescue human lives and properties.“This demonstration of love for humanity and our job by Churchill and the Big Church Foundation has made him a friend of the house from today. “Technically, he is the first person from the inception of this service to identify with us, either as a person or as an organisation. 

Since last year, God has shone his countenance on the service and it now works like other agencies.“We’re grateful because each time the fire fighters go out to put out fire, they’d first of all rescue those who have inhaled smokes or poisonous gases would need to be brought out safely and taken to the hospital. But the service has been handicapped.”

 Chairman of the Big Church Foundation, Churchill Oladunni in his speech said, “We’re making this contribution to make the country safer than it is and we recognise the humanitarian service of the fire fighters since 1901. After this donation we’ve made today, we shall be looking into other areas of prevention where we can partner with the service for the safety of all and sundry...we are also donating 1,000 fire extinguishers and fire blanket respectively to aid the fire service in their rescue operations, which also be important for homes and offices"

 The presentation of the materials was done by president of the foundation, Dr. Olakunle Churchill Oladunni to the Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Federal Fire Service centre, Area 10, Abuja.\n\nThe event drew attendance from fire fighters, top celebrities from the movie and music industry that include Ayo Makun (AY), Waje, Mike Ezunronye, TBoss, Victoria Kimani, Emma Nyra, Mamuze Twins, Charles Awurum, Praiz, Dennis Dooshima among a host of others.

The Nigerian Water SKI and Wakeboard Federation (NWWF) Takes Steps To Establish Facilities For Training‎

A free facility is on its way courtesy of the International Water SKI and Wake board Federation (IWWF) and NWWF's German Co- Founder/ Patron Mr Uwe Goldstein.

‎Following the warm reception of some of the official of the NWWF by the National Olympics committee (NOC), Chairman Engr. Habu Gumel In His office in Abuja, Nigerians are set to witness the waters ready for NWWF Soon.

Remarking on the meeting and the present trend of the federation, the Founder and President, Amb. Rachel Bakam revealed that the recession had caused a set back in establishing facilities for this sport that was once alien. Due to how expensive a facility is with the exchange rate and many other factors, progress was stalled for a while but with appeals to the international federation, the IWWF has agreed to construct one free facility to inspire others and serve as a training ground. 

A Patron of the NWWF Engr. Habu Gumel has guided the federation as to how to acquire the right location for this facility. Jabi Lake Abuja is the an ideal spot. He graciously gave a letter of endorsement to make this location accessible for a temporary facility while the federation works towards acquiring plots of land from the FCDA for a permanent facility which will open doors to host international championships and harness Nigeria's Tourism potential. Mr Fred Onwe an Official of the Federation remarks enthusiastically that Nigeria can't wait to participate in international competitions. 

Amb. Rachel called on investors to buy into this lucrative profit making venture which will also add great value to Nigeria's economy and image by way of opening doors for Tourism and more representation in Sports.
