Mr Ibu, Klint Da Drunk, Okon, Big Church Foundation Converge For Take A Child Off The Street Project. (Photos)

One of Nigeria's fast rising Non- governmental organisation, Chigolden Aid Foundation has put smiles on the faces and homes of many children in Delta state with their recent project " Take A Child Off The Street Campaign" that attracted a lot of high profile personalities and celebrities. The humanitarian convergence had the blessings of the first lady of Delta State Mrs Edith Okowa and the support of Big Church Foundation.

The NGO which was spearheaded by ex- beauty queen Chioma Egboh visited some communities in Delta state to execute charity projects‎. The event which recorded impressive turnout also saw Chigolden Aid Foundation conduct free medical checkups, distribution of educational materials, skills acquisition training for street hawkers and sponsorship programs. Selected individuals and brands were honoured with Humanitarian Personality awards.

‎In attendance also at the charity event for Niger Delta region were Delta State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mr Ibu, Klint Da Drunk,  Okon Lagos, Wacumzy, Dav Ogbeni, Big Church Foundation, Exposure Multi- media Consult, Amity Global Network etc.

The Capital city witnessed a spectacular event which stands out on its own and will definitely go down in the annals of history. It was the wedding ceremony between Barrister Shola Gabriel and his lovely heartthrob  ‎Adaugo Cynthia Ihekuna which was tagged #ASH 2017

The prominent staff of Corporate Affairs Commission and legal practitioner‎ met his wife a banker with Zenith few years back. The union was indeed ordained in heaven and this was evident in the apparent show of love and commitment which the couple displayed towards each other on their day at the colourful reception.

In truth,it was beautiful,exciting,thrilling and fun filled on that prestigious day in Abuja where Shola Gabriel officially quits bachalorhood into a blissful matrimony with the woman after his heart. The event can be best described as the wedding of the year as no expense was spared in making it a joyful and memorable day for the couple and their guests especially as‎ CEO Coin Beat Entertainment,  Engr Ubani Max Chinagorom‎ made sure everything was on point during the event. The groom looked handsome and dashing in his choice of black suit while the bride was looking gorgeous and radiant as ever in her princess golden gown.

Barrister Shola Gabriel with fulfilled mind and a sense of accomplishment thanked all those that found time to grace his occasion especially talented Rap celebrity artist S‎kinnyblaze‎ who spiced up the event with his lovely tunes and wedding song dedication.  He further commended his bosom friend Bobby Max and many others that put up appearance. The MC Short Cut kept the event alive with his rib cracking jokes while‎ DJ Crown and DJ TTB of MTV Base ensured that the sound entertained the celebrants and guests alike.

‎There was celebration in the camp of Nigeria's famous artist Patoranking as he concludes his 7 weeks musical concert in 17 cities across 12 countries. The entertainment packed European Tour recorded impressive turnout across nations. 

Patoranking Led concert was rated one of biggest ever tour done by an African artist and the reception across the cities were overwhelming. The Charman of Big Church Group, Olakunle Churchill has continued to attract more attention and commendations with his philanthropic works. And this time he's been exclusively featured on the cover of one of Africa's top business magazine, The Entrepreneur Africa, ahead of the planned flagoff of his latest empowerment program, the Green Project.

In the magazine, Dr. Churchill gives insight into the project, stating that "it's an agro business empowerment scheme, and we're set to give out farming lands and funds to interested youths across Nigeria". The serial entrepreneur and philanthropist further added, "we're selecting 1,000 beneficiaries per state, plus the FCT". That's to say that over 36,000 youths are estimated to benefit from the project.

The magazine further traced the Abuja-based Churchill's entrepreneurial history, his passion for ICT, and how that passion led to the emergence of Big Church Group. Indeed, it's a rounded story of his life, business, and philanthropy.

The federal capital of Nigeria - Abuja is an emerging hub of entertainment in Africa with regards to its fast rising development in all human facets. Though, a very small state compared to Lagos that can be equated to three countries in one. Yet the rate of quality entertainment or better put showbiz is not improving. Abuja to a large extent is old enough to start chumming out top stars or producing A'list events but with every Tom, Dick and Harry jumping into the ring of entertainment production without a consequent scale to judge, they always celebrate their unimpressed performance. Showbiz Entrepreneurs settle for Abuja best, losing sight of the fact their there is not graduate in learning especially as they don't task themselves to emulate from established or successful event practitioners. Though, some Abuja clubs or lounges do not help as they accord them empty celebrity status where same people can not get close to the street of Lagos clubs. 

Well, it is pertinent to buttress who these showbiz entrepreneurs in Abuja could be. They are event organisers, pageant producers, musical artists, event promoters, comedians, showbiz brands, entertainment publishers etc. For print, magazine or online publishers, it beats ones imagination to see them build with pride even when about 50 persons read their posts or 100 copies of publication are produced for an edition particularly for those featured! Haba! Let's put passion in our businesses or careers which is devoid of acrimony, back bitting, castigations, malice, propaganda or even witch hunting. 

We have exclusively x-rayed top reasons Abuja Showbiz entrepreneurs are either slow in growth,  can not be celebrated outside their location or can not stage any show that can make their fans end show with a head held high. Though, we still have selected few that are on point and can be rated better or even thesame class of other A'list entrepreneurs. Kudos to them for their sacrifice for fame and recognitions

See reasons below:

• They are myopic with the level of Opportunities in their territory as such don't have productive or striving patience to hit goldmine especially with resources at their disposals.

• They fail to study the scope of their showbiz environment to know what actually excites their target market so as to be abreast with the demands of their supposed fans or clients.

• They do not have the intellectual ingredients to remain at the level of their top or fame for a long time, as they obviously lack consistent and diligence to remain in demand

• They do not accept healthy competition that could propel them to greater heights rather they dwell in destructive or back stabbing gimmicks to drag down their colleagues. They don't celebrate the adage; if you can't beat them, you join them.

• They practically judge their growth or fame with their colleagues or people within the industry as such they don't strive for the top because few people chant praises of them in their locality....they feel they have arrived, not knowing that they are lily livered low down failures.

• They rate or judge their prospects or achievements with few Naira or gratification given to them in Big shows that they would have raked in millions in Abuja because they either under price themselves or do not know the value of their worth. For desperation to pay minor bills they settle for any cost or even free just for thank you for coming.

• Their growth is usually stagnated or very slow because they hardly pay for services that would add value to their career or projects instead they regard cunny friendshi‎p as yardstick to avoid paying their bills that will favour them both in promotion, management and bookings.

• They silently and sometimes openly slander or attack their colleagues or industry friends who they feel ‎have stepped up his or her game. An effort to assist or support them, is an open invitation to bring you down to the level all of them can conglomerate in thesame proximity.

• A lot of them are bereaved of ideas or contents to remain in the industry as 80% of them are in the industry because lack of employment or poor certificates to get a good paying job. That is why majority of them who claim to be showbiz entrepreneurs jump from one entertainment project to another so as to put food on their table.

• A good number of the showbiz practitioners are particularly concerned with the number editions they have done in their projects or events instead of rating their growth performance or income advantage. They brag of their consistent watery yearly editions that still leave them to husttle from hand to mouth.

• They protect their contacts or prospective sponsors from anyone for fear that if he or she assist their colleague, he will either be better than them or snatch him or her from them. Funny enough they end up losing their contact who usually discover how empty they can be.... don't forget if your "contact" knows your worth or what you can offer he will always return to you even if you make him extend favour to others.

• Majority of Showbiz entrepreneurs do not sustain or maintain business relationships. They are particularl about what they will benefit from their clients or colleague today not minding that tomorrow is pregnant. They usually burn or break the bridges or ladder when they cross or climp temporarily.

• 90% of Showbiz Entrepreneurs in the capital city lack packaging. They find it difficult to invest in themselves or their brand. They always feel anything goes as such they consider less of their appearance, performance, presentation, resolution ‎and evaluation.

 • They do not have formidable union or sincere collective drive to push forward or celebrate their own, it's always a case of accusations and counter- accusations. They hardly flow in thesame attention aggregate without having Judas in their midst.

Reigning Miss Tourism Lagos Emelike Prisca Chinonye ‎was recently received at the Lagos State House of Assembly by Honourable members following a courtesy visit to the lawmakers.  It was a memorable visit as the beauty queen discussed way forward to alleviating poor living standard of people from their constituencies and the Lagos indigenes in general. ‎The ‎graduate of Federal University of Technology Owerri‎ was indeed the cynosure of all eyes as she buttressed on the essence of her project and partnership with the state lawmakers.

Also visited was ‎Chief Aare Bashir Fakorede, the franchise owner of Oando filling station at Lekkik Epe expressway‎. Though, the meeting was not made public but it was not far from the project she intend to execute in Lagos.  The elegant damsel who had contested for Miss SUG, Miss Queen Of Peace and now Miss Tourism Lagos, expressed satisfaction over her visit to Chief Fakorede and thanked her for all his support.

The Abia state born Emelike Prisca was also a guest at Glam Cosmestics and Natural Beauty Project office complex. The soft spoken paragon was hosted by the Director, Mr Raed who played significant role in sponsoring the pageant brand during the contest. Speaking to cross section of journalists during her departure she said, she was pleased to be hosted by these personalities. She further stressed on her deep passion for learning to be the best in any of her endearvour.  When asked her next pageant after Miss Tourism Lagos, she responded thus "‎ for now I'm quite skeptical but if you hear my name in a pageant again it should be something  international...thank you"

Communities Celebrate Soldier, Lt Col Murtala Danjuma As Marks Birthday


Today Nigeria celebrates one of its courageous soldier as he marks his day.  Lt Col MD Abdulsalam was the Commanding Officer of 121 Battalion in Pulka. Due to the proximity of his location to the dreaded Sambisa forest his Battalion was a prime target of the Boko Haram Terrorist but he along with his troops stood firm and resolute to achieve their objective displaying extraordinary bravery and determination to succeed in the assigned task. 

He led the battle to dislodge the terrorists from the town of Ngoshe during Operation Crackdown and Operation Rescue Finale which resulted in the freedom of thousands of hostages held by the BokoHaram Terrorists. His Battalion also recovered lots of arms and ammunitions and arrested some of the fleeing insurgents. 

Despite the difficult terrain and weather conditions in his area of operations, he secured the main supply route between Pulka and Gwoza, Pulka and Banki Junction and also coordinated escort patrols for humanitarian relief and for the general public. With the support of the Army Headquarters and 26 Task Force Brigade, Lt Col Abdulsalam’s civil military cooperation activities has become a model in the Nigerian Army. 

Besides securing and defending the people of Pulka from BokoHaram attacks, his Battalion won the hearts and minds of the people by providing vocational training and empowerment projects in Agriculture, Tailoring, Poultry and Soap making. Proceeds from implemented projects are distributed back to the community to improve welfare. His Battalion also repaired the damaged borehole and provided water tanks and pipes to channel water to the whole community powered by a generator. 

His Battalion provided health care and counselling services to the people of Pulka and its environs too. Abdulsalam’s gallantry and humanitarian projects earned his Battalion a visit by the American Think Tank Research Institute ‘Atlantic Council’ to explore his feats first hand. Lt Col MD Abdulsalam is a living hero worthy of celebration and we shall continue to share his story to inspire others too who are serving us selflessly. We appreciate the efforts of our living heroes and we shall sing their praises while they are still alive. Happy Birthday Lt Col Murtala Danjuma Abdulsalam aka WarLord,  we are damn proud of you.
