The Hero Square in Owerri, IMO state was crowded with a massive turnout of Imolites to celebrate the birthday of Chief Uche Ugwumba Nwosu, the chief of staff to Imo state government and gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressive Congress.

The public show of blissful gestures and gratitude by Imolites was a clear indication of their unchallengeable support for Chief Ugwumba ahead of the 2019 IMO guber polls. Regardless of the heavy downpour, youths came out in numbers, chanting their support and approval for his political vision in IMO state.

As Uche turns 43 today, the people of IMO and other visitors from different parts of the country and abroad have gathered to recognise, appreciate and celebrate his eagles might. Ugwumba is known for his uprightness, sincerity, democratic leadership and engaging charisma.

He has bagged several leadership award both in Nigeria and abroad. He has indeed proved himself worthy enough to govern IMO state, says an Imolites who attended the birthday ceremony. His love for youth empowerment and inclusiveness has bought for him the heart of youths IMO state.

.......Meets With Kano State Governor As Campaign Returns To North

The fight against drug abuse by Tagwaye foundation, commenced its day2 activity with a seminar which was held at Musa Shehu Yardua Center in Abuja, Nigeria on 6th August. The event which came after a Long-Walk against drug abuse in Nigeria, was themed the "Dangers of Drug Abuse.

The seminar reviewed key factors that affects and influences drug abuse amongst women, youths and teens. It also captured discussions on the strategic road map to a successful fight against drug abuse in Nigeria.

Tagwaye foundation is optimistic that its conquest against the thief of our nations' destiny would be victory soon. The convener Prince UC Ingawa encouraged the entire Nigeria communities to be partisan warriors in the fight against this menace.

The event was attended by youths and key players in all sectors of the Nigeria socioeconomic and sociopolitical class. Tagwaye foundation thanked participants for making out time to be part of the educative session, as it prepares for its campaign outreach in Kano State following a successful meeting and endorsement from the Executive Governor of Kano State Ganduje earlier today.

Chief Uche Ugwumba Nwosu, the chief of staff to IMO state government and front line aspirant for the IMO gubernatorial election has added another year to his years of impact and visionary opportunities for IMO state.

His giant strides in leadership, philanthropy, governance and impartation in the lives of Imolites have opened the floodgates of congratulatory messages, goodwill remarks and celebrations to mark his birthday, even without Uche Ugwumba's consent.

Following her last outing in Esohe, an epic which was a collaboration between Nollywood and Hollywood, served in a cocktail of the rich tradition of Bini kingdom, Oghenekaro continues the pursuit of her Hollywood Dream in Chase, in which she plays the role of Jayla.

Written, directed and co-produced by Michael Matteo Rossi, the movie is about a hit man who must prove his loyalty to his mentor and best friend, while his girlfriend wants to leave the business. Rossi already has a feature, Sable and several shorts to his credit. His latest film, Chase, which showcases Oghenekaro will be in the cinemas soon.

The main Hollywood stellar cast features names like Damien Puckler, who plays the hit man. Others include Jessica Morris, Aries Spears, Richard riehle , Devanny Pinn and Simeon Panda. Expect to see a lot of action where Puckler, a known martial arts expert is in the mix. He can be devastatingly exciting and create lots of anxious moments for the audience.

The writer/director holds out no less a promise. According to him, “Chase really is a roller coaster of a ride. I feel there’s a lot of stinging emotion mixed with some action and a lot of unique kills from our lead hit man. It’ll definitely be a bloody journey for the characters involved that the audience will be invested in.”

For contributing positively to the growth of Nigeria’s aviation industry, the Chief Executive Officer of Dana Air, Jacky Hathiramani, has been honored by the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) in Lagos recently.

The Dana Air boss was awarded at the dinner and unveiling of NAAPE’s compendium of 50 Outstanding Nigerian Aircraft Pilots and Engineers.

Speaking at the event themed: ‘’Promoting Professional Excellence with aircraft pilots and engineers in focus,’’ the President of NAAPE, Comrade Abednego Galadima said the body is committed to advocating for the rights, and privileges of the Nigerian Pilots and engineers.

‘today we shall be honoring eminent personalities, Nigerian Pilots and Engineers who have been contributing immensely to the growth and development of global aviation industry in general, and Nigeria in particular; having recorded five accident-free years, which is evidence that Nigerian pilots and aircraft engineers are indeed pillars of the industry.’’

The CEO of Dana Air, Jacky Hathiramani, while reacting to his latest honor in Lagos said, he was delighted to have been honored by a key association as NAAPE, noting that Dana Air having employed and trained over 90 Nigerian Pilots and Engineers, is committed to decreasing the unemployment rate of Nigerian Pilots and engineers and supporting them in any way possible.’’

He dedicated the award to the airline’s Pilots and Engineers for constantly displaying and championing professionalism in the industry and to the airline’s teeming guests for their loyalty and patronage.

Similarly, a passenger on one of Dana Air’s flight from Lagos to Abuja has commended the dexterity of one of its pilots.

The passenger via his verified twitter handle @gentleojay said, ‘so I flew @danaair today and was very impressed with the pilot. He used pidgin English to welcome us and he was so warm. Apart from this, his landing was super-amazing. He got everybody clapping and You could see he enjoys his job.’’

In a bid to maintain the Not-Too-Young-To-Run trail, United Progressive Party UPP Imo State gubernatorial aspirant Hon. Tony Chinedum Nwulu has confirmed the appointment of Mr Kelechi Kingsley Chukwu-Nwaokorie as the Director General of his Mezie Imo Movement Campaign Organization.

Mr. Chukwu who hails from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, is a graduate of Statistic from Imo State University and was appointed by the House of Reps members because of his sterling qualities as well as his believe that the youths can move things to the next level in the state and beyond.

Tonto Dikeh, Faze, MC Tagwaye, Ali Nuhu, Chigozie Atuanya Heat Up Drug Abuse Awareness In Abuja

In Nigeria, drug abuse has posed a bizarre threat to the physiological capacity and efficiency of human resources. Meanwhile, Tagwaye Charity Foundation in collaboration with Elizabeth JackRick foundation have continued to heat up their fight against drug abuse, as the foundations commenced a long walk in the FCT to raise a responsive campaign against drug abuse, especially amongst teens, youths and few adults in Nigeria.

The long walk was joined by several Lagos celebrities, Abuja based entertainers, politicians and top executives in the the private sector including groups like AbujaMoms, OMC Clan, Tonto Dikeh Foundation, Queen Irene Onwuka Peace Foundation, Help Keep Clean Foundation etc. The crowd matched around the central business district of the Nigeria federal capital city, carrying placards and banners with inscription like "say no to drug abuse", "save our tomorrow today", "let's walk the talk", "speak and stand against drug abuse".

The match which was tagged "Drug Abuse Campaign" seeks to present a visionary approach to a better future for Nigeria as the fast increasing rate of drug addiction and abuse requires an immediate intervention. Tagwaye Charity foundation has however taken a bold step to curb the menace.

Tagwage foundation has been forthcoming in her charity works to improve the value of humanity and also put smiles on the faces of the those who are disadvantaged. Her works cuts across healthcare, empowerment, and socioeconomic campaigns. The foundation have been very active in Northern Nigeria, especially the FCT with move to extend the campaign to Lagos state

Yesterday's "walk awareness campaign" against drug abuse will help initiate a development process that will curtail all sort of hard drug consumption, addiction and abuse.

Speaking to journalists, The convener of the initiative, Prince UC said that the rate of involving elders, youths, children and women is worrisome and must be tackled head long so as to contend this destructive vice especially on our children and women who defines the structure of our nation’s future.

'We are optimistic that the fight will be a fruition if it is supported by the government, International organizations, corporate agencies and well meaning Nigerians" he added.

150,000 APGA Members, Five Political Parties Set To Collapse Into Imo UPP.


*As Tony Nwulu's Guber Bid Soars*

There are strong indications that no fewer than 150,000 members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA are set to defect to the United Progressive Party, UPP in Imo State.

A top source revealed to this newspaper at the weekend that the APGA faithful in the State are heading to the UPP to give further boost to the governorship aspiration of a leading governorship aspirant in the party, Hon. Tony Nwulu.

The defection is coming barely few weeks the Supreme Court gave a verdict declaring Victor Oye as the national chairman of the party. It was gathered that those who were not favoured by the Ruling of the nation's apex Court are the ones leaving APGA for the UPP where they are expected to team up with Hon. Tony Nwulu.

Nwulu, a member of the House of Representatives widely known for initiating the Not Too Young To Runbill which was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari recently, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the UPP.

His governorship ambition has raised the tempo of the governorship contest by attracting massive support and endorsement from thousands of youths in the State.

The defection of teeming Imo APGA members to the UPP is planned for a date yet to be scheduled in Owerri and has been described as the "mother of all political rallies" that will take place in the State in recent times.

The move, according to the source will be unprecedented and expected to shake the political foundation of Imo State and give political firepower to the the UPP in the coming elections.

Political pundits argue that the defection of thousands of APGA members to the UPP would certainly alter the political equation in the State and energize the UPP to become the much anticipated "Third Force" in Imo politics as the 2019 general elections draws near.
